For those that don't know the two workers at 2:31 were actual debris workers at the 9/11 ground site. There was an original scene were spiderman was swinging next to the twin towers, but was unfortunately cut off because the movie was still being filmed after the attacks. It's a nice little tribute that often goes unnoticed.

Something the Tom Holland and Andrew Garfield movies severely lack: Spidey's close relationship with NYC

Best spiderman ever. I have to say you can see the effort the whole team made here. They polish the story not just focusing on the special effects. The actors and actresses have so much real emotions not just a tool standing there for the movie.
The Raimi trilogy had more emotion than the recent movies, even if they were a little joke oriented, the emotional beats were still fantastic
1:24 is my favorite scene in all Spider-Man films, Garfield and Holland films included. I just love how Raimi shows the moment Peter decides to be Spider-Man. The camera angles and music are perfection. I love the callback they do to this in Spider-Man 3 as well.

The Raimi Spider-Man movies honestly has the best extras/side characters out of any other movie. The amount of character they all got even they're only shown for like 5 seconds. Feels like people we all know.
This is the kind of thing that’s missing from modern superhero movies.
Seeing the actual hero’s progression as a recognized figure in the community.
Much more real than just having other superheroes just exist and then drop a bunch of expository dialogue.
Well Iron Man 1, Captain America 1, Thor 1 and Antman 1 follows this formula, although this movie and Iron Man are more organic and wholesome.

Twitter is a cesspool honestly the world and social media would be better without it tbh
The soon Twitter dies, the soon it would be better.
@@everythingisawesome2903 That wouldn't do anything, the Twitter crowd will just move to other social media. It's the crowd that's the problem, not Twitter itself.
Realistically, it would be the opposite. He'd be loved on Twitter. Spider-Man is a vigilante "do-gooder" who many cops hate and want arrested, defying their orders in order to save people. Cops really hated him in The Amazing Spider-Man 1 (they hunted him down and one shot him the leg). Raimi still captured this dynamic but in a fun way at 2:43, haha. A cop was going to arrest him but let Peter go to save a woman from a burning building in this movie as well (it was just Dafoe though).
I used to feel nothing when I see this scene. Until my mom passed away, this scene hits me way heavier than it looks.
That responsibility theme give me chills
"you were meant for great things", and here we are now, Tobey arriving in the multiverse helping Tom's spiderman grow. Nice to think that Tobey's Uncle Ben is smiling down on him, proud of the man he became. When Tom wanted to kill the green goblin, it was definitely the "uncle ben" that has rubbed off on Tobey that helped Tom deal with grief and righteousness.
The transition from the Spider-Man drawing to the real Spider-Man is beyond amazing.
Anyone else notice they cut out the girl saying “guy with 8 arms sounds hot” when they’re showing the civilians opinions on Spider-Man?
Tobey is our spider man forever
Agreed!!!!😄

This was a minute-long take of just two people talking about their emotions. With how schizophrenic modern capeshіt has become with its jerky editing, it's amazing to see how ahead of its time Raimi's Spider-Man was.
Exactly. A heartfelt serious moment without unnecessary jokes. I like the MCU Spider-Man movies, but I wish they’d dial down the comedy a bit
@Jay Ryan I am seriously starting to suffer MCU fatigue. The movies are all very cookie cutter in terms of design, writing and execution. There is more style than substance, and quite frankly, it shows.
The Raimi Trilogy, the Dark Knight and the first two X-Men films by Bryan Singer really built the foundations of super hero cinema. And I'm sad to say that the house of cards that Disney erected on that foundation is starting to wobble.
The MCU as a whole would have been so much better had it not been under the control of the house of mouse.
I'm honestly sick, whenever I click these videos to reminisce about movies I liked, to see people who have some psychological need to tear other things down to feel good about what they like. You know it's possible to like one take on something and not needlessly bash another? Even if you don't like it. It's just people circlejerking about what was arbitrarily part of their childhood being arbitrarily better.
It's just funny because your take doesn't even make sense. I could point to similar scenes as this in the MCU Spidey movies - did you just not watch them and you're talking out your ass? Peter went through similar grieving scenes about Tony.
The first two raimi movies are way ahead of their time, and better than most superhero movies nowadays
@@Reaper_03-01 Fully agree; but I would also include X Men First Class,Days of Future Past, and Logan to your list
This scene always makes me tear up. I remember I lost my grandpa, who was like a second father to me, when I went to college. It was my dream to have him see me graduate, because he taught me maths and many things. On graduation day, I like to think that he was there and saw me. I’ll make you proud Grandpa!!
(Also...wow...All this emotion comes from a phenomenal scene, editing, music, acting. That’s the power of movies)
Keep up the good work because he's proud of you already!

I've never read the comics so take this with a grain of salt, but I always thought it was weird that other iterations of Spider-Man can't naturally shoot webs. It seems odd to give him spider powers but just have that be one he has to create cutting-edge technology to make. The web shooters are cool, but it always seems weird to be like "oh yeah, a high schooler made this."
Well, the comics once tried to explain his ability to make webshooters as "the spider transfered knowledge of how to chemically make spider silk during the bite". It's a kind of flimsy explanation but it at least explains how he was able to make the webshooters.
I like him making the web shooters, him possibly running out at any moment adds a little more tension to his fights (in the comics I mean) :)
The spider bite also made him super smart, so he’s able to create web shooters and webs and stuff
@@itter6364 but if hes a spiderman why can't he shoot them naturally
@brick army2 but the bite gave him the knowledge of how to make the shooters..
Why do people criticize Peter for crying. There comes a time when you realize the point is that he is a normal, young man. He's not some macho, emotionless giga Chad.
Because everyone forgets that he's human just like the rest of us. People think that crying makes you look weak and defeated, but it's not true. It's letting out your emotions and real feelings instead of keeping them concealed and bottled up.
Crying is not a sign of powerlessness, but a moment of vulnerability and expression.
The music from this trilogy was so amazing, man. It should be as well regarded as scores like Star Wars and Jurassic Park
The comments are so refreshing. Nice to know people actually enjoy quality and can see through the bs of today’s movies and it’s lack of heart and structure!
Sam Raimi did a fantastic job of capturing all the emotions while still having action and character building!
Tobey started something great that culminated into 3 generations of spidermen fighting together

Best trilogy to ever exist and also the soundtrack is absolutely amazing and unique
There is a reason WHY many PEOPLE love the Raimi Trilogy. Its not because they are bias or nostalgic. Its because they see the truth. They read those comics THAT made Spider-Man... Spider-Man back when half of the Spider-Man fans weren't even born.
PEOPLE, who say later movies were the best portrayal of Spider-Man. Either forgot the original comics or JUST NEVER read it. Stan Lee was there during the making of the original Trilogy and Raimi asked HiM how they can capture the most accurate portrayal of the Comics counterpart during certain scenes.
LATER, Spider-Man movies NEVER captured THAT... it was more towards being Cool and Jokes. Spider-Man was NEVER about comedy fun and games. It was the story of a man who took on a Suit to save others... on the consequence of losing everything that one desire. In Spider-Man 2 Aunt May put it the Best, " sometimes you have lose the most precious thing to you inorder to Save the other. In order to keep the smile and happiness of others."
In Spider-Man 1 : Uncle Ben, set the line of being a Hero. Being a HERO is not just about You ! Its the responsibility THAT you hold as a HERO. You have the POWER to save the helpless . . . NEVER abandon THAT
