Kasey is more country than most country singers. She had a really unusual upbringing. She grew up in the outback as her country musician family travelled around the Nullarbor Plain. She basically spent her childhood living around a campfire. The hunted their food and then cooked it on the campfire. She’s 47 years old. In the beginning of the song she does indeed employ ancient Scandinavian techniques such as yodels, flips, and kulning. Kasey kills this, great reaction. For another song that is completely rearranged you should react to John Farnham's version of the Beatles "Help". The one with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra is brilliant. If it wasn't for the lyrics you wouldn't know it was the same song. You have already reacted to John's song "You're the Voice" the studio version, but John should always be reacted to live, he absolutely shines on stage.
40 years in the business to suddenly become an overnight sensation outside of Australia. (Don't get me wrong, she's had international hits, but in a relatively niche market. Which I've never understood, because I think she's great)
My friend In Australia turned me onto her 20 years ago. Best female vocal range and the greatest voice I have heard. Not pretty enough and The Captain are still my go to songs when I want to hear something amazing. Major shame she never was able to catch on outside of Australia, she has too much talent to be appreciated on just one continent.

Never herd an Eminem song covered in a style like this...very nice indeed. I wouldn't even have recognized it as an Eminem song if it wasn't for the chorus (I'm not very familiar with Eminem's songs but I recognize this one from a cover that was done by Maria Fiselier on Beste Zangers 2018). This was so stripped down and intimate sounding (at least for the first half)...I like it! The only issue I have is that the video looks like it was shot with a potato (but I read in the comments that it was fan cams, so I guess it'll have to do hahaha!). She really sings with passion on this cover...excellent job! Cheers!

However you brought up Norse and Viking singing, You need to look up Jonna Jinton for the true Norse sound. She could provide vocals for an opening and soundtrack to an en epic Norse period film.
