Turns out that Oliver’s actual number is 1420, which they found when they digitally remastered the original illustrations. Meaning that this is actually Oliver
Who can remember these on the Exe Valley line? 1466 was definitely there. I'm told they ran at 60mph plus on occasions ! Bampton station was a gem to behold.
Well they can dashes on the rail at an incredible speed of 80 miles per hour(128 kilometers per hour), probably due to the advantage of their large driving wheels.
Oliver 11 was my favorite character in thomas and friends growing up, so seeing his real life basis alive and well is pretty great. It's also surprisingly quiet for a steam engine
Hi there Lee, I'm letting you know that a user called Kaikki Store has taken some content from this video and reuploaded it to Instagram without permission. I think they also took clips from a video on Bittern. Just giving you a heads up in case you want it removed.
What is an auto coach and why put an engine in the middle of 2 coaches. I grew up near the Paddington line, so never saw any branch line engines at work. 61xx series were the local work horse, with Castles etc pulling the Bristolian and Cornish Riviera and the like.
Basically an autocoach is where you can drive from the coach itself instead of going around, for your other question 2 autocoaches is called a sandwich. I also guess its for extra capasity*(probably spelt it wrong)
1450 is seen at Severn Valley Railway (which has been its normal home for the past few years), Didcot Railway Centre, Llangollen Railway, Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and Great Central Railway. 1420 is seen being shunted at the South Devon Railway. 1466 is seen at Didcot Railway Centre.
fun fact: in the RWS, Oliver has a faded number on his buffer beam, that number being 1420. that makes this particular engine the real life Oliver.
from what i can see
the engine in this vid has the number 1450 not 1420 or 1436
Omg Oliver is real
Duck was 1774 and percy was the Trojans number 1340
Also fun fact 1420 was actually named bulliver
@@Julia-i2m5ushe number was 1436 or 1420
The Auto Tank Engine will always remind us all of Oliver, no. 11, from Thomas & Friends.
And the brake vans will always remind us of Oliver's good friend Toad.
Reminds me of Titfield Thunderbolt

A wonderful and quirky design of a lovely Tank engine, especially when sandwiched between two coaches.

Yeah, that old man still lives in old media and even now.
Those 1400s were beautiful locos❤️🥰
Oi'm Oliver, and this is my brakevan. We're escaping!

Is it true this is the fastest tank engine? 80mph.
It will be cool if this engine got a lighter green painting and the number 11 on the side and olivers face replacing the cap
Why these engines called auto-tanks?
As they were fitted with gear to work with autocoaches, which meant the regular could be controlled from the carriage at the front of the train
