  • Hot vs Cold water hair wash challenge. Finding the right temperature to wash your hair can be tricky, there are split opinions some people say hot water is good for hair, others say cold water is the healthiest way to wash your hair so I’ve been wondering what if i fully wash my hair with each temperature to compare them at the end to see which one is better for your hair, how bad it could be right?

Why don't we use BOTH at the same wash 😕
I mean start with Hot Water to open the cuticles and remove dirt
Then to finish using cold water to close the cuticles and gain some shine

This was honestly the best hair care advice I’ve ever gotten. I used to just take cold showers and my scalp was always itchy, it had giant clumps of product stuck to it, and some parts of my hair still looked greasy even though I was using way more than a “dime-size amount” of shampoo. I tried washing my hair with warm water and rinsing the conditioner out with cold water and my hair is not itchy, I don’t feel anything on my scalp, my hair is shiny and evenly clean, and I have so much volume! Not to mention washing your hair with warm water takes so much less time than with cold water somehow!

@@tropicalsundae4359 Taking hot showers actually makes you colder in the long run cuz your body adapts to the hotter temperatures. Plsu water contains more heat that air does, so even just short hot showers can make a massive difference to what temperatures your body is used to.
Personally, I keep my shower warm most of the time, then have like a minute with my shower turned all the way down st the end so the room is hotter than my shower.

Tbh, I wash my hair with cold water literally ALL the time, but what I do to prevent the frizzing is:
    1. Absolutely NEVER brush your hair after the shower(if you air dry)
    2. Air dry my hair so that there’s no heat damage
    3. oil my scalp 4 hours before showering and oiling the ends every night
    4. And never scratch my head so that it doesn’t look like I have dandruff
But I also heard you could wash your hair with hot water and rinse it off with cold water before you step out of the shower.
(Shoutout to tessa peay for teaching me these tricks❤❤❤)

honey leaving your hair and your scalp WET for crazy hours (even 2 hours is so much..) İS NOT GOOD. During the air dry, your hair will be soo fragile (cause really it holds water in it..) and it also cause hair loss, frizzy hair and breakage.. SO blow drying your hair CORRECTLY like using a heat protection, don't blow dry so close and so warm (you can find more details 'bout it with a little research) is waaay better than normally air dry. just try it🙏🏼🙏🏼

Actually you should shower with both type of temperature. We should use lukewarm water "NOT HOT WATER* for the cleaning and shampooing part. When our shampooing is finally done then we should shower with cold water to lock in everything. Plus cold water should be used in case of conditioners.
I started double cleasning my hair from today ownwards, so during double cleanse i use lukewarm water. After that after completing shampooing process, i did a run through will cold water and then used conditioner and rinsed it off with cold water. Trust me the softness i get and feel in my hair while rinsing the conditioner with cold water is fabulous. Basically you need to shower with both kind of temperature to get an amazing hair wash.
In winters, prefer lukewarm water and bit of cold water ( like a decent level of temperature of the cold water)

It's not about water at all, but about the subsequent care itself, it's clear that you didn't wash your head with boiling water, that your hair turned into a washcloth, but if you applied follow-up care, then you had the same hair as always, because you still use, among other things, oils, and here you just washed your hair with shampoo and conditioner, That's why the hair is like that

Better to shampoo with warm (not hot) water, so it can clean it better.
and when you rinse out conditioner, its meant to be cool (not cold) as too cold can make it brittle and its actually bad. Cool water is best to seal the hair cuticle.

Step six: put your hair up while you are doing other things like shave etc

For me, when I wash my hair with hot water, first of all aaaaaahhhhhh it dried out my skin and was so so so so so much awful and it make sence, and I ended up with superb flafy hair like you, but, while the molecule were all open (assuming that it is true, while we can't see the molecule with a naked eye) putting oil just after air drying was amazing it absorbed so much and I even had enough time to kook my dinner after shower watch a movie and when I went to sleep my hair wasn't oily anymore so I won't mess up my pillow, so in 1 way it's bad to use hot water in another as long as you put oil afterwords than why not!

Why not just use warm water? Why use the extreme level of temperatures when you can choose a middle ground. Warm water is the best. Hot water hurts/burns my scalp, and it makes my scalp and hair dry& itchy but cold water makes my hair unbrushable, hard to wash, very painful to wash, the hair gets so stiff (it's hard to move around), and it doesn't get cleaned that well. So in the end warm water is always the best choice (at least for me).

@@Itsme-ud4ze ok☺️ you can use rosemary water daily for max results and yes don't forget to take a gap of a month after using rosemary water straight for 3 months and yes whenever you have hairloss or hairfall plzzz focus on regrowth rather than the hairfall or loss☺️all the best

    Hi Doro!
    Your you are doing well!
I have seen a lot of videos about garlic and honey hair masks. Is it really safe to use, i mean does it cause irritation to the scalp or anything like that. Could you create a video to educate me so that i won't be afraid to try it😅

.. Or something.. Please tell me
And also how do you dry your hair without brakeage....
Like when I air dry I see alot of hair falling.. But when I use heat, I see no shine at all

If I don't wash it with hot water, it doesn't clean. It doesn't rinse. Every hair type is different, for me cold water is simply not working. Took me 10min to rinse out a hair mask with cold water. And it doesn't have to be boiling water to burn your scalps either. Lukewarm.
