UPDATE: I see now that leaving my battery connected once it turns green will further condition the battery, it will optimize it. The green light pulses while it optimizes and will go solid when it totally done.
I bought a used ATV in 2019 and discarded the battery it came with but kept it around. My battery recently shorted out so instead of buying a new one, I thought about that original battery. I attached a Genius 2 to it and it still had a charge after all these yrs, I never did anything to it! Anyways, that battery fully charged and now I'm using it and it performs like new, best battery I've come across. If you're looking for a good battery, give the one I'm using a try, they're called KMG batteries.
Nice video man! Have you measured the voltage output of the charger when set up to charge lithium? I believe lithium needs 14.25V to fully top up the battery. Considering this unit to trickle chargers my campers lithium battery.
Lithium ie; BMS issue... if the BMS does not have a temp sensor, you need to be careful Lipo4 / Life po 4, lithium batteries... should not be charged at high or low temps, check your spec sheet for Temp info and charging instructions.
In the genius 1’s user manual, it says the 12v lithium mode should be used with “EXTREME CARE” & only if your lithium battery has a BMS (battery management system). Tbh idk if my 12v lithium (motorcycle battery) has a BMS or not. I can’t find much info online about it - but it does have a test button w/ LED indicator. Does that mean it probably has a built-in BMS? If it doesn’t, would that only be needed in the event of over-charging? Thus, I could use the lithium mode for short periods of time and be safe? Last question: if it does NOT have a BMS then would the standard 12v charging mode (on the noco genius) even work to charge my lithium battery? I contacted the battery manufacturer - awaiting a response.
@@wetlifesports no worries -- I ended up getting this response from the manufacturer: "All of our Fire Power Lithium Batteries do in fact have built in BMS. You are good and clear to use the lithium charge mode on your NOCO."
It will say what type it is on the battery. Mostlikely just 12v but double check. AGM Absorbent Glass Mat. Just different technology to try to be better at burst power and long term power.
its only factory/stock battery with 2-3yrs lifespan. So i think its only 12v. What if I charge the ordinary lead acid battery to 12v AGM? what will happen to battery? or A AGM Battery charge to 12v only?
@@wetlifesports ya know, thats funny, about 20yrs ago a girl on my route ask me one about her car, its wasnt running right i told take to her mechanic and have the flux capacitor checked, well she did , about week later when i went back she had alot to say to me. LOL
Flashing green = 80% +charged. Solid green = 100% charged. I have one and I like it.

I just got one and am happy with it. Can't beat it for the price.

I got 1 aswell works perfect

It’s a “Firepower Featherweight 12v Lithium” battery, for reference.
Good questions, sorry, i don't know.

I have a Electrolyte Filled Yuasa YTZ5S battery for my 2022 Grom, which charging mode should i use?
Not sure, google
Hi, still happy with the Noco? I'm undecided between Noco 1 or Optimate 1 Duo.
All good!
Thanks for the video
Can you charge a battery without plugging the unit in? I would like to know if you have to charge the NOCO to use as a charger? Thanks
I don't think I understand.
It’s not a jump pack it’s just a chargers. NOCO makes a bunch of jump packs that will help start a dead car battery.
My red light and blue light goes on and off simultaneously. What does that mean?
@@josephdavis2869 hooked up backwards?
@@wetlifesports no. Ik what that light looks like. It might be the battery itself

Yw, thank you!
the only thing wrong with this charger is you have to keep the air pressure at 35psi or it wont work right
Ha ha.
