Conan. I feel so young. You give me such an embarrassing amount of hope. You make me feel silly for doubting myself. Thank you Conan and all those who prop you up! 😊
Patton is one of the nicest, most genuine, most consistently funny comedians in the business. So many comedians from his generation get so full of themselves or start resenting younger generations as they age, but he's so down to earth and humble.
2:20 "I don't own a house I use to scare people with" I resonate with this comment. A very few of my acquaintances are wealthy, and I HATE visiting their homes because everything is so clean, expensive and in its place. It makes me feel so uncomfortable. LOL In comparison, when my middle class acquaintances invite me in their homes, I am very relaxed because there are kids' toys all over the place, and I don't feel like I will damage their property with the slightest movement. LOL
If they posted the whole thing on youtube people wouldn't listen to the podcast. That's how they stay in business; through people listening to the podcast.
Yep. Avoiding conspicuous consumption, in general, is an admirable goal even for the non-famous. People can live a much happier and safer life when they live the type of life that convinces other people that they don't own anything worth stealing.😊
Oswalt did not apologize for taking a picture with Dave Chapelle. He clarified that he is his friend but also disagrees with Dave's view on transgender rights. We all have friends who have stupid views on certain topics. But, we cannot cancel them out entirely for that one thing. If the person is awful towards others in many situations then that's a different thing. Hate people who discriminate anyone. But, also hate this cancel culture.
You and your buddy from the bowling league will never influence the culture and the attitudes of our larger culture the way celebrities can. Therefore they have greater responsibility just like Spiderman. And BTW, the only thing that is being canceled is hate.
what great work attitude! it probably also has to do with being contend and happy with what you have, and appreciate where you are. not always wanting 'more'.
But be very good at what you do...That's an important takeaway. I know a car mechanic who lives that same philosophy, grew up in the inner city, started his own shop with just he and one assistant, now lives on a small farm outside of town and has goats, chickens and 2 horses, because that was always his secret dream. Still runs his shop 40 + hours a week and might be the happiest guy I know.
His wealth is still kind of perverse, even though he does do some good things with it. I used to work in one of his companies and I got to see how his laissez faire attitude, when it comes to having loose control of his companies, like Wells Fargo can cause disasters for consumers and innocent people.
I remember we had this kid in advance art class thats all he did was draw for his comic he was making he had terrible social skills and we would be like can we read or see what you've done so far and he would always say no
Not making up to a million before retirement is unfulfilled retirement.!! I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $3 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock market made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn weekly.,,
.Credits to Dylan Kyle Zachary, He saw me through the process. You can glance his name up on the internet and verify him yourself. he has years of financial market experience.!!
So butthurt over the Chappelle stuff. I thought y'all were the "we don't care about your feelings" party. And yet here you are, bitching about what someone chose to do for his own sake. Gtf over it snowflake.

You are being ironic now right?..........................Right!!!?
@@Sanyogowhy would that be ironic?
He apologized for taking a photo with Dave Chappelle how stupid is that
"The worst part about the whole Bill Cosby SA thing is the hypocrisy". An actual quote from this genuine, humble down to earth guy.
@@GyrbaePost the whole convo and dont cherry pick a single statement. What you wrote means absolutely nothing
Can't believe I fell asleep watching Robert Caro interviews and then the bio finds its way into this of all episodes again

I always liked being asked why there were toys all over the place and being able to respond, "because there are kids all over the house idiot." Ha ha.
All the middle class houses I went to were immaculate like show homes. I didn't like being in them
Please post the whole podcasts! I would love to watch the whole thing.
You’re out of luck.
If they posted the whole thing on youtube people wouldn't listen to the podcast. That's how they stay in business; through people listening to the podcast.
I grew up reading comics.
It’s awesome how “comic nerds” lead Hollywood now.
The amount of creativity, and freedom. Finally!
Comic book nerds! Unite!
Hollywood has become nightmareland for DEI demons and Peter Pan man-children wearing underoos at 45yrs old. Jesus Christ help us.
Patton's crowd work is second to none
My favorite comic book is red dingus by Andy Richter
Andy based that one off his own life, y'know?
I can't imagine getting to be Matthew. I am a huge Swamp-Thing and Deadman fan myself and Matthews journey is something else.
I'm sorry, but 'there are many tanks now just covered in Robert Caro books' might be the funniest line I've heard in years
Not being a car guy or clothing guy is the best way of keeping your head screwed on straight in show business.

So good for Patton! More please. When does he talk about his comic?
I waited 3 hours to get my Sandman book signed too! In 2008 though, but it was still an awesome moment for me.
Always felt like Patton and Seth green could direct a badass marvel movie
Robert Caro's the powerbroker can be used for self defense too
very good😄
Both of these guys have a great comic history 😁
If I ever get Patton to sign a comic of mine, I’ll look him in the eyes, lick the book and say
“mmmmmmMMMMMM, taaaastes gooooood.” Lol
More Patton!!!!!
Is the full podcast available in video version? I would much prefer to watch it than listen if possible.
On the Scary Big House Note: Warren Buffet, famously, just has a brick house in Omaha. I used to see him walking downtown with a bag lunch.

Patton- Liked your Firefly book. Shiny.
Patton Oswald standing in line to meet Neil Gaiman, ... that thought alone is amazing to me. Good choice, though👍
I think Patton has got it figured out.
You should have asked Patton about the time he faced off against Batman
A true introvert nerd like oneself ^^
Glad to see he's a true comics fan!

@TeamCoCo - PLEASE upload Kristen Stewart - The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien (2009-11-16) you have her other clips but not this one.
All the hurt little boys are here.
I Don't Wanna Be Rijt
Let's not forget, Pat apologized for taking a picture with Dave Chappelle...
I don't really care. Chappelle's kind of a nut anyway.
Boohoohoo snowflake
Just one more reason to like him.
Who cares
Right. What a fool. No principle. Just bowing to the woke mob. F em.
"Im not a car guy" - Patton
Nobody thought you were a car guy little buddy.
The worst part of Patton Oswalt’s appearance on this podcast was the hypocrisy!
Yeah but then he'd apologize for em

In 1993 I just walked past Neil Gaiman's booth and yelled "You suck" without standing in line at all.
PO is a ninny.
Doorknob.
I cant stand Oswald.
Woke Comedian writing comic books. Huzzah! I am so excited to read the same modern messages in every story.
Come on man, we know your ilk doesn’t read
