    Rookies performing well at QB is the exception, not the rule. But all of sudden, too many want to believe that's not how things usually work out.

    Just look back at what KOC did with Dobbs. He effectively coached him every play, on the play clock, through the headset. The only thing that causes a QB to stumble under KOC is the QB’s limitations of judgement(Cousins, Mullens, Dobbs). McCarthy is an adept decision maker. Let’s go.

    • @jaredpribyl
      @jaredpribyl 27 дней назад +1

      Then Look what KOC did to Dobbs after he had a few weeks with him and tried to make him something he’s not…Kirk. KOC was incredible coaching him thru the first game, but the more time he had with him the worse it got. He tried to take away Dobb’s legs

    • @suncatblue
      @suncatblue 27 дней назад +2

      @@jaredpribyl no way. The less KOC was in his ear, the more Dobbs had to rely on his own judgement, the more his poor decision making was exposed. He was benched because of bad INTs. KOC got the most out of his capacity.

    • @jaredpribyl
      @jaredpribyl 27 дней назад

      @@suncatblue I’m aware he started throwing too many int’s, but how can you not see that it started happening once he put the leash on Dobbs and had him stay in the pocket trying to make him Kirk? Why didn’t he throw a bunch of int’s before learning the system and KOC’s plan?

    • @db212006
      @db212006 27 дней назад +1

      LOL wut? KOC only did well when Cousins was balling out. He was was balling out long before KOC got there. It will be crazy to see how well he can coach up a QB like McCarthy that has a lot of limitations, like slow processing speed, can't throw to his left, and never makes the BIG PLAY when needed. I bet it all crumbles to the ground, if I was a betting man.

    If you have to consistently complete passes on 3rd & 10+ then your team has other problems. McCarthy was clutch on 3rd and 4th down at UM. Hes green yes, but he should be fine

    J.J.’s 3rd down conversion, especially 3rd and long, is what turned that Michigan program around and won them the national championship. They would run the ball constantly and then he would come in and move the chains again and again. So I respectfully disagree with your take

      Relatively weak arm. Definitely below NFL average. But Chase don't care, he was a 6 foot nothing, noodle armed QB too! Who threw for a million yards in college but guess what... that doesn't translate to the NFL nearly as good as he thinks it does.

      He clearly has an axe to grind with some QB's in this draft. He clearly values volume at the college level which is interesting because he put up huge numbers in college but it clearly didn't translate to the NFL. Lots of college QB's can put up huge yards and not be a NFL caliber starter.
