I am a broncos fan and I do not believe the broncos were desperate. I really think they did their homework and wanted Bo Nix. If they had a top 3 pick may it have been different sure but I am happy with the direction of the team and the Bo Nix pick. Broncos Country Let’s Go!!!!
I agree! Calling them desperate is a pretty far stretch. It's Denver. They are a blue chip football city. This isn't Carolina or Jacksonville.
I’ve been to a ton of college football games. I am not really a NFL fan. Huge college fan. I like individual players in the NFL, because I’ve been flowing them since high school. When people think of Bo Nix, they just can’t forget about Road Bo at Auburn. He didn’t play well away from home. He went to Oregon and for once actually got coaching from someone who wasn’t his father. He was never coached at Auburn. If the only thing people remembered about Bo Nix was 4 years at Oregon, he may have been the 1st overall pick! I am not a Broncos fan. I am a Nix fan. I have watched every game he has played since his junior season at Pinson High School, in Pinson Alabama. Bo Nix will be you next franchise quarterback. You’ve got one hell of a general!

That is a great point! A lot of the hate is coming from how he did in Auburn. Which honestly at this point is absurd and may as well been a different lifetime ago.

I have been a Broncos fan since 1969. The first two years in Denver, the fans were livid about John Elway being the bust of the century. We can all see how that turned out. I also remember when Tom Brady got the starting job in NE, "Tom who?"
Make that SOME... fans were livid. The rest of us knew we had a Bona Fide Great in the making and by his continued progress, albeit by baby steps and a setback now n'then, he always seemed to assure us that we weren't wrong. You know lots of folks are saying that Bo Nix wasn't a first round pick. Hmm how do you know if someone is a first round pick...a team drafts them in the first round ! Sean Payton sure as heck thought he was a first round as did a couple of other teams who absolutely would have drafted him if Denver didn't pick him IN THE FIRST ROUND.

Nix was always the target. I'm sure they would have been open to trading down but with the falcons taking penix they had to jump on him before the raiders pick right after or be stuck with rattler later in the draft. Sean loved his experience and accuracy

I really like the Bo pick. But the pick I'm most hyped for is the Cement Truck Transformer in the form of a running back. Brace for the inevitable impact and he transformed from Cement Truck to Gazelle and catch nothing but air

I absolutely believe in Sean Payton! There are always questions to be had about any QB. I mean look at Caleb Williams will his attitude get in his careers way possibly. These are the things we don’t know that’s why questions arise! And in no way shape or form is Sean Payton desperate!!

Please see stat comparisons between Brady and Mahomes’ first 7 seasons. They’d wild! Mahomes is absolutely destroying Brady. I mean Mahomes has 219 Passing touchdowns with 63 interceptions. Whereas Brady had 147 passing touchdowns and 78 interceptions. Passing yards:
Mahomes - 28,424
Brady - 21,564
It ain’t close. So, yes, we’ve decided Mahomes is much better.
It was a completely different NFL back when Brady played. Literally different rules entirely. So you can really compare numbers. Modern NFL is more pass oriented and the rules help with offense.

@JWLSports Zach was a why not type deal. Bo is a hopeful type deal. I just think there are high expectations by a lot of people that haven't watched Bo closely. I hope Sean is right and Bo is golden or Zach can be a solid guy. I'm just not sure so I am in a waiting mode.
Makes sense. I think Bo will succeed in Denver. I really do. I don’t know if he’s going to be the next big thing. But he should be a solid starter.
Broncos did in fact save money by benching and ultimately cutting Wilson. Wilson actually played well in Denver, not great but let's be honest, Nix won't play that well in his first couple of years. Broncos were terrible before Wilson, adding a aging good QB isn't enough, adding a young inexperienced one...well is not likely to work.
