I can't stop listening this on repeat while checking out the comments written by fellow gamers from the golden age of gaming. Love you guys, keep the memories alive.
Love you brothA. We’re right there with ya!
If they invented the time machine to go to the past, this track would play in their booth. Or rather, this track is the real time machine.
Cheers mate
Great times indeed. I hope I never lose the memories of my excitement playing this game back then.
Born in 1986. My older cousant who was into pc gaming introduced me into lots of these games. One day he showed me NFS2:SE proudly in combination with his brand new 3dfx voodoo-expansioncard. That soundtrack burned deep into my synapses. Till the present day, over 25 years later my entire mindset is back in the 90s with all its magic.
I really miss these times...

We all do

Oh man! Great memories!
Nostalgia. Goosebumps. Tears.
Isn’t this in nfs 2015 when your in ur garage
brutal brutal it's like teleporting me back in time
Totally man , instant goosebumps
👍
Tears you right
1997: a genius track that symbolized carefree childhood times. 2022: tears, thoughts and a sense of lost time
I feel like cruising on the highway in the night, with this song playing at the background. Just pure bliss!
Imagine playing this on twisting mountain roads during a blizzard.
Been there done that. And it felt authentic.
The magic of phones has allowed me - and I'm sure many others in this comment thread - to play this music while driving. Almost the real thing, just not in a Ferrari or McLaren. Either way, there's true magic if this is the kind of music you grew up listening to playing these games.
This should be the official song of Formula 1 racing.
S S Le Mans works, too!
Now that would be awesome.
Or all motorsports!
Indeed
The 2014-2021 one, was hideous as the cars themselves
you have to like windows 98, otherwise you are not a human...such a nice memories...
Just got this game a week ago for my retro Compag Windows 98 SE PC. :)
agree
First played this in 2000 on a Win 98 powered PC actually ;)
I born in 2003.
Mustafa Nazzal also win 98's bootscreen looks better than the current ones.
The man's a fucking genius!!! Every sound just where it has to be - pure perfection.
Also listen callista, Saki Kaskas and Rom Di Prisco were great..
@mehmett.bakkal82574
And Prime Funk from Saki Kaskas, it has similar mood, closer to NFS5 ST:

This was reused in NFS 3:Hot Pursuit
Until the day that I die, I will never process how this stunning piece of mellifluous wonder was produced in 1997.
Because Techno/Trance from the late 90's/early 00's was authentic and because Rom di Prisco was gifted by God to possess the talent he has. I can tell that by listening to his tunes it's clear that he produces his music not just for the money, but for his own satisfaction and pleasure. This guy is just sick.
very, very carefully and with help from some kind of divine influence. That's how.
Has anyone here ever played this game when it was raining outside? That rainy day leaving compusa will forever be n my memory till the day I die every time i hear this song.weird.
I thought I was the only one thinking of this
you are not alone gyus. These tunes will never leave my head. Me and my cousin still remembering the best times of our lives spent in front of the monitors playing nfs2se, competing each other. It was around 2000 and we were like 13 yo. It is simply epic and nostalgy is so strong.
Not this game, but NFS 3. Racing in Alantica all-day was great fun.
totally man .. this will always be with me
I remember i played the north track while it was snowing outside, it was such an immersive experience that i will never forget!
Best song for car game of all times. (in my book)
You should check out eurobeat like Initial D 's soundtrack for a high speed "euro disco" feel, or Outrun for an 80's synth feel.
Swerto eurobeat give me headaches, not bad music but it is not my style, thanks for the recommendation!!!
Never used another song that often to race in need for speed.
It gives off a moody Thursday evening/cloudy night after a day at school filled with football, some maths, science and history classes, and you feel like you've earned the right to play the game for the rest of the time till you sleep... That moody Thursday is the day this song makes sense trying to decide on a car other than Mclaren F1 and a colour other than black... And then your brother comes in and makes it multi-player... Ohhh so many memories...
31 years old now...the memories are so alive....spent days and nights playing this.game,videos,music....it was pure gold
I recently built myself a Windows 98 SE PC just so I can play this again. Hands down the best of the NFS series. The cars were interesting, the showcase videos were bloody excellent, the tracks were good and let's not forget the legendary soundtrack, which still to this day is my favourite music to go street racing/cruising to.
I'm 24 but share same memories
Right here with you man, things have changed a lot for all of us. Im glad others enjoyed this game and its sound track as much as I did. When electronic used to be true "Art".
Yeah!
I m 27 now ❤️🥺
I'm actually only 17. Sure I was young, but I was playing regularly even High Stakes up to 2004. Even still, this music is prime, so even I someone didn't play the game, the can still appreciate it.
wonder if u are fine my dude , just a random question i had
Thanks for the memories...
@@Andreiux He's ded
@@asadparvez24 dude no way stop playin
@@thatisabsolutelykooooge2211 Nah man it's the truth. His friend confirmed it in a video's comment section. I think that video is the last one in NFS2SE soundtrack's playlist. U can check it out if u dont believe :)
This song is so sad and nostalgic its almost unbelivable!!!!!! A whole game era in one soundtrack
There is difrence from making something from passion
than for money.
" The name Summit is fitting, not only for this course's environment,
but also for its towering challenge. You'll need complete mastery of
your racing repertory to finish unscathed and victorious. "
This was the very sound by which I remember NFS-2..... techno, fast and speedier than anything I ever listened back when I was 11 years old :))
God I wish I was back in 98, the first of NFS series games was just amazing and th r music made the game! Then high stakes with Callista! The nostalgia! I'm 23 now and I clearly remember loving and enjoying by the first 4 of the NFS series and especially the music! I used to get stuck in NFSHS showroom just to listen to Callista lol
Now they just slap some horrible music from the top 100 rap hits on to any game.
Could not agree more mate!
Could not agree more mate!
same bro, I'm the same age as you. used to play this with my brother all the time.. the feels everytime I hear this song.. damn
I wish the same, except if it were late 2000 for me! Would've been epic seeing myself playing it for the first time right after my birthday.
Also Soundtrack of nfs 2015 unfortunately servers are down
This song is in both nfs 2 and nfs 3
Yeah, it think it was in Hot Pursuit car showcase menu, then a man with firm deep voice would share information about the car while you watch a slideshow.
Good days !
So good, it was used twice! (just made that comment)
Also in credits menu of nfs 3
Damn can't believe so many of these songs will make a come back tomorrow in NFS 2015!!!
+Saz Ahmed That feel when i first heard this song in nfs 2015 my god
+Volkan 96 Oh yes :) Please check my Channel and would be glad as well of new subscribers :)
Really? This song is in NFS 2015?!!Fuck yeah , i love you EA
Vegetto Super Saiyan yeah
+Saz Ahmed IN NFS '15?!!!!
I remember I got a brand new Pentium 2 system with full multimedia installed and this was the first game I played on it. I was just blown away and that memory will stay with me forever.
I was 9 at the time, now I’m 33 .. and I still feel the same DIVINE feeling!
For me it’s the greatest soundtrack ever for a gameplay 🌟
Esta canción me hace recordar los sueños que tenia de niño. Si... sueños de niño. Y eso es algo bueno.
Los recuerdos no tienen precio. Yo tambien los tengo. NFS II, NFS Porsche...los mejores videojuegos.
2021 and i still play this masterpiece anybody else
I am too.
Me ,, but 20 years ago
In 2002 I was 7year old. We did not have a pc at home. My dad finally got an old asus laptop from the company he was working at. Me in the school asked my friends to copywrite some games for me to play. Nfs 2 se, worms world party, and a third one which did not work. It was such a slow laptop i barely run this nfs. The loading was forever, but at least these tones got in my head forever. Great times💜
one of my childhood's hymns!!
Ahh yes, listening to this in the Menu dreaming that one day I'll have my own stable of 200mph+ supercars.
Man computer games were magical back then, today they look like a picture or even reality but lack that childhood magical feeling you got when cars became sprite models instead of just tiny pixels and the game had all of 8!!! tracks just hanging in the middle of pixel distorted horizon.
one of the best compositions in a game
Some things are passing through my mind when listening to this.Ronaldo 9, World Cup 1998, First trance sound ever heard by me,and ofc Ferrari f50 and Mclaren f1. Im born in 1987
0:49 I remembered my childhood 😭 it was good old days
In 2023 what a times 😢
This single track is probably the best video game music ive ever experienced.
By far THE best track in the whole game....what a shame that it was "only" a menu sequence
the NFS Anthem
the background synth is godly so soft and gentle 0:50
Nostalgy!! Love this song, back to 90s!!!
An incredible track. From the very first notes, you're gripped and you can't stop listening.
I love this song, with another second song, from main menu. Lovely memories from 90's.
i used to play this one, with a joystick - great times, still listening to DnB / Jungle now EZZZZZZ
The best of all of them. Reminds me when I was like 14 (?) daaamn... beautiful times :) :((( :)
I know friend... the time is flying by so quickly.... I remember when NFS3 debuted, in '97.
Oh, the childhood memories!
Nostalgia hitting hard ❤️🥺
My home is around 198 km from work place. When I traveled to home by own motorcycle I listened this music before starting the journey. Great from West Bengal India
youre not going 198 km's every day right?
@@KingLich451 yes exactly
@@arnabkumardey6604 Wow, thats quite a lot of road
I remember this from NFS3 Hot Pursuit (the Original Hot Pursuit). What a jam. I miss that game and High Stakes. High Stakes was my favorite.
NFS4 is my favorite too.
Listening to these nfs 2 and nhl 98 menu songs brings back such great memories of my first 2 pc games ever. This is one of my favorites from this game. And the song for the Jaguar XJ220 video.
Трек, прошедший через десятки лет и окутывал чуть ли не всю жизнь многих геймеров, золотая эра компьютерных игр останется с нами навеки
i useto let this track play over & over again as a kid loved. Still like it now.
duuuuuuuuuude i used to play this when i was little, so many memories
What a music and what memories of this game ❤️❤️ been more than 20 years that I played this game
NFS!!!! I miss you!!!! The greatest racing game ive ever played :'D
Still have the CD with me, remember how much I loved to play this game when I was young
Man these brought year into my eyes:(,my childhood...
So good, it was used twice. NFS2 SE and NFS3.
is it just me or was this soundtrack the absolute bomb. Prettymuch all the other NFS games i've played after this (up to NFS 5) really had nothing as memorable as this OST
Golden age trance music
I miss those days. :'(
The beautiful Amen break.
I didn't even realize it was in this.
People say that nowadays the music sucks, But the reason we think that way is only because of the nostalgia we feel when listening to this.
Is it just me or is this track actually kind of melancholic?
I know what you mean, there is something...
made me cry for the old days T_T
This track flashbacks to 2003/04 omg such beautiful memories. Windows 98 was a blessing this new generation wont feel this.
Ok now i cry...damn Time's beautiful and painful at the same time nature hurts once again the infinity's astral child deep inside me, this one we all have since then we were kids.............nostalgia....because childhood= the period of experiencing more close the eternity/ immortality....
I agree totally, What i meant is that nostaliga kindof fucks up our mind.
Its the memories of fun we had playin it, and the songs just reveal the emotions from our childhood.
Lets say 20 years from now, the ones who were kids now will think their years music is bad and that the 2010 hit songs were the gods nugget.
Man your comment is 10 years ago almost halfway there!
Im 25 years old and i remember playing this in the early 2000s. Especially NFS 3 hot persuit on the PS1.
Lost in time... still the best.
You know EA liked this so much that they reused it for Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit.
the best track ever ! of this game - just P-E-R-F-E-C-T !!!
It's a shame that iconic tracks like this one "Romulus 3" and "Main Menu" are not even on Spotify, like thousands of great music. Why nobody upload them in that platform?
it brings so many memories it was my first nfs to play at that time i was about 14 years old.......tears comming down.
nostalgia my childhood :((((((((
I'm 16 and I remember playing this game when I was 5 years old and I used to love playing it, and In my opinion it is one of the greatest racing games of all time even though the last time I played it was back in 2001. - My big brother threw away the CD so I've never had the chance to ever play it since :(
GOOSEBUMPS
Thanks for this brought ne back some years..
Earlier this year i began taking illegal substances,so that i could work long hours and focus on finishing a project that i was procrastinating on for years and because i realized that i had severe ADD wich was the reason my entire life was, simply said - just sad. As a person i was never afraid of taking huge risks, but the idea of taking drugs was one of the most overwhelmingly dangerous decision i've made so far, even though i was fully aware about the consequences in the future. I wounldn't deny that those dangerous stimulants did their job damn too well. I was shocked that was able to work effortlesly and stay hyper focused for over very long periods of time without being distracted or other bs. While on my task and under the influence of hard drugs like Crystal Meth, classic techno, trance and tunes from NFS2 - Porsche were a must for me. But one time, when Romulus III started playing, it immediately became the only thing i was listening to. It Hits you differently when you are high. There were times i've done nothing, but chain smoke cigaretes like crazy and listening to this for over 10 hrs non stop. Dear God, words are not enough to explain how i felt . Pure authenticity,euphoria....... that nostalgic underground vibe feeling from that late 90's - very early 00's.... running thoughts of how much the world and we as a people have change and that nothing will be the same again... I don't know if i am using the right words, but Romulus III is so much more than just "music". It's sad knowing that i will never replicate that same feeling ever again, but i am so glad i was able to experience this song the way it was meant to be listened.
One of the best game soundtracks. I remember a specially demo version of this game played milion times.
This bring back... oohh my tears :(
❤😢 best childhood ever
anybody waiting for an "old-school racer" kickstarter?
Quien 2024, lagrimas del que en un momento un niño conoce la mejor franquicia de juegos de carreras
2019 still love this game
Hey hey hey!!! NFS 2015 hello :)
This is one of those songs that would be included in a F1 Season Review demonstration
Hell yeah! This one and the main menu soundtrack represents what supercars are all about! Serious, beautiful, mysterious, prestigious....
today i hear it in my M5

This track is the best game menu music there is!
This track led me on a 25 year journey to finally own some future classics that I can speed around in to live out my childhood dream 🥹
yeah! need for speed!
Nostalgic!! Like it was just yesterday!!
What great memories of my 90's !!!
Huh, very much love this one!!! I remember that it was included in NFS III. But I didn't know that it also was in NFS II. Because I played it later that the III :D And just don't remember all the soundtrack...
My first Need for Speed ... I played it with my younger Brother on PC-Splitscreen... Those were times where games were just about fun... not like nowdays the Trophy/online Leaderboards / DLC crap... Its kind of Heartbreaking how EA killed NFS... Most Wanted was the last good one :-(
This game gave me more than taste for Cars, taste for Trance :)
nostalgia
ohhh man this was ectasy. hearing this was cruising with the McLaren at super high speeds on the first track...night...look right...see the bigass ship, watch the cockpit and see the wheel turning and all the gauges climbing...you there know only the NEED FOR SPEED
First played this game in 2000 on a Computer with Windows ME.
Thanks for the upload :))) This was always my favorite soundtrack in NFS, in my childhood :D
Lol i started the game and just browsed cars listening to this track
