@@Narblo I'm don't understand why you would prefer live action footage of cars with more cuts and zoom-ins than an Indian soap opera than cars actually rendered in-game. Stop being nostalgic over the dumbest shit.
Because back then manufacturers had the balls to make such outrageous and crazy concept cars, unlike today's 4 cylinder hybrid shit that everyone is doing.
GT90 had pretty limited R&D for the ambition to beat McLaren F1, as well for giving it 1/6 price of what the F1 was worth at the time, they basically just put two V6 together and give it 4 turbos, but then they removed the turbos since it could break the car easily and making it 300HP less than what it should have, still it's a really well made prototype with the timeless design after 25 years of it's first appearance
Jonas H. I once found the RUclips channel of the guy who actually made the songs for NFS but sadly there is no full versions all the songs were made just 30 seconds long other then the menu and racing soundtracks while in the game.
2:06 I had distinctly remembered the cars catching on fire while racing each other, but as soon as this started playing, an inactive region of my brain flashed right back to life! This was one of the earliest games I remember.
Man, this is nostalgia. I remember drooling over these showcase videos, watching the cars from every angle, listening to amazing music, and learning about the cars along the way. :) Maybe NFS will bring this style back in its games one day.
OMG I played it with my dad as well!! XD At first I kinda forced him into it, but then he started linking it :p (Of course, I would mostly win or let him win :p)
same. I was literally 1, but remember at age 3. he was a software developer and a nerd so he got a new graphics card and sound card and was blown away by this game.
I had the pleasure to drive the F50 insanity down in the emirates. I can tell you, even for supercar measurements, this V12 engine has an horrible mpg ratio. While accelerating, you can literally feel the gas tank being suckt empty :D BUT the infernal scream's just so damn sick! I can now understand the owner, who bought that vehicle for many many sweet dollars.
The F50 was purposely designed and made for high performance, not as a grocery getter, with good gas mileage, lets say ford focus. I say the extra cost for gas is worth it, to be driven every summer weekend.
Much love for this title and its epic car videos. Growing up as a kid, Hotwheels, and game titles like these sparked me to dream about cars! Feeling nostalgic in April, 2020.
Thanks for this video. I came on here specifically searching for the video of the Jaguar XJ220 and I found it here! The McLaren video is also awesome. I love the music on here too. I used to play this game SO MUCH with my brother and friends.
Lotus GT1! My favorite car of NFS 2. Not the best-looking nor the fastest, but boy, it has such a stellar handling in the game. Won the advanced/hard difficulty tournament and knock-out with it!
those times: only in need for speed u could watch beautifull movie showcases like those. There where not even wallpapers conception :)) Now we have GoPro inside cars Pov full hd recordings on Utube, Marchettino, Top Gear and so on. And wallpapers ? Hell, i make them my self now :)) SO thank you need for speed for making my childhood dreamy so i can enjoy present days :)
This was my first game. I was only 5 years old when I playing this game on my windows 95. Cala was my favourite car thanks to my interest to the yellow color. But now, my favourite isJaguar XJ220. No doubt.
I love it in teh intro video when the McLaren F1 drove by and leaves just fligh up in the air, and don't now how do say it, but it gave me some goosebumps :)
Let's be honest, we all drove the FZR In the SE Version, the GT1 or the Indigo in Greece, but it was a hell of of a game, that I still remember 20 years after
Ohh god that mustang was FUUUGLY!!! GT90 was like the coolest car ever and had the best music lol! Still nothing can compare for my love for the god of cars, the McLaren F1! Thank you Gordan Murray! Where is the Isdera?!??!?!?!

This game introduced me to the McLaren F1 as well! Such a legendary car! I had no Idea that there were so few McLarens in the world when used to play this game, I just assumed that anyone could have one :D
I played this a decade ago when I was just 10 years old. I have such fond memories playing these classics with my friends. This, NFS 5 Porsche unleashed & NFS 4 Hot Pursuit were my favorites.
I remember played this game on my old 386 PC without sound years ago because my PC did not have sound card.Untill a couple months my dad brought a soundcard, damn childhood memories
Amazing game for its time! Required 3D-FX card installed in your PC back then for those extra visual beauty as "dirt on the screen" from the wheels or "sunset sunlight in your screen"! Looked amazing back then! Jaguar XJ was my favourite video + it had very cool 80's sounding music composition accompanying it and McLaren F1 had very cool visuals in its video as well with fallen leaves of Autumn on the road.
You can almost feel how much effort went to make this game with all the FMV's, specs, historical background etc. They just don't make the games like they used to be anymore. And they say gaming industry is growing.
Vids from the game of my youth :D how many nights i played it till the morning then deciding its not worth going to sleep and sleept in the classroom sitting in the first row right infront of the professor waking myself up with my own snore hahaha thanx for upload i tryed to extract those vids from the game but never figured out how

Every video gives each car a unique personality:
Italdesign Cala: The bad guy
Nazca C2: He goes for what he wants to, no matter what it takes
Ferrari F50: The hero
Ferrari F355: Introverted but with great nature
Ford Mustang Mach III: The most fun car you can drive on the entire planet, he is the best
Ford GT90: The monster
Ford Indigo: Strong temperament
Jaguar XJ220: The perfect lady, beautiful and with great kind
Mclaren F1: The hunter, be careful with him
Lotus Esprit V8: Cautious and intelligent
Lotus GT1: The enthusiast who gives everything of him
BrunoCG astounding interpretation!
where's Isdera commendatore 112i? it's not even in the video 🤔
Ahsan Mughal there's no video so I can't talk about it :(
Can you make that with the first NFS cars?
ruclips.net/video/WtPFZ48osPo/видео.html
Stupid comment.
25 years later and all these cars still look futuristic
The jaguar being majestic af.
McLaren F1 still like a boss
McLaren F1 was and will be (forever?) The World's Fastest Naturally Aspirated road-legal production car. Respect.

Who invented DOHS? I know the answer.
Video Presentations like this is what made each car really special in NFS 2, sadly that's not the same story with the modern NFS games.
There are showcase videos in the new Hot Pursuit but they were mostly pretty bland and seemed like a platform for Porsche to advertise.
there are not video presentations even today :(
I feel you
These are cool videos!

The gt90 one always gave me a hell of a goosebump
Lel the memories
The cinematics are excellent. Especially the fade from old Le Mans footage to the concept car
Agreed!
people that dont like this videos, it because they dont know how it was playing NFSII en 90s!!!!! This game can transmit speed to your brain!!!!
Mariano Pintos Yes!!!
Yeah bro
Half the cars in NFS2 were prototypes, come to think of it. It's sad many didn't go into production, especially the GT90
The GT90 was a joke. When tested, it was restricted from its full potential and the engineers were scared that the car would catch fire.
@@traviswalker8933 at least we have the new one now

The Cala was used as a base for the Lamborghini Gallardo.

When Art and Style was a common thing in Computer Games.... long time ago in the 90s :(
The XJ 220 is still my favorite car. Played this game when I was 14 and I'm 33 now.
Jaguar XJ220 awesome video with awesome soundtrack
the best^^
You can't find anything like this anymore
The very best.
It was this game that started my love of the McLaren F1. Still my favorite car.
2:46 Soundtrack Nazca C2. FANTASTIC.. ! Made by 90 Disco Progressive Dance Electronic!!! I love YOU!!
Giorgio Fioravanti It's time to relive the 90s bro.
Is there a full track?

Perfect charge injection sounds. The guy is a genious! 2:57
I remember me and my brother playing split screen on this game i wish those days come back only 90's kid can unterstand 😢😍
when I was young, GT90 vid scared me as fuck ;d
Chomik that blue interiors still scares me heheheh
JK man
it's because these interiors colours are ugly as hell
Yeah me too, spooky music, spooky car ^^

Damn it! Who is so great to add these old videos? LOOOOOVE it
I want a digitially remastered version of this game and my life would literally be complete.

back when "Electronic Arts" meant excitement, rather than the unknown....

7:34 then DOOM Kicks in 😂
The music also made this game the best... Where else could you get your techno/metal fix?
I also remember the Ford Indigo video was the only video that didn't actually show the car being driven.
(Neither was the Ford GT90 one)
Oh, memories... It made you get in love with the cars :'c

Lennart What for?
I favored the McLaren f1 and the Ford indigo
McLaren F1 my all time favorite car

Oh the nostalgia.
This video made me go and buy the game immediately
good memories from my childhood

Back when you wound even consider another racing game beside NFS...
I like the Corsa in 0:55
Yo tambien soy de Argentina Jaja, por eso mismo lo puse, si acá está lleno de Corsa
Es un corsa o un Wind?
The only affordable car in this game
Hey, what about the Punto?
It's called Indigo..... It's red.

McLaren F1 and Lotus Esprit - best sound tracks!
