This is the perfect song for a racing game, the beginning is the slow, calm melody, perfect as all cars are at the starting line. As soon as the guitar kicks in, it’s a dramatic high speed race. Zipping through turns, engines screaming as they go down straights, fierce battles for positions. Cars spinning and wrecking. As the song comes to the end, the winner crosses the line, as the driver and his team celebrate.
This is the beauty about moon over the castle. It’s amazing.

First of all,my mother and my father played this game,and then my mom pass me the controller and said,"give it a try",and then i found myself playing this game for a very long time. I was 4 yrs old at that time. Childhood flows on my blood.

9 when I started. I started with GT3. It was...about 2015. About a month after, my father gave me the first two. I then purchased the fourth. I don't have the available consoles for any others, aside from GTPSP which I still need. Anyway, even if I am below 15, I still love the classics. Gran Turismo changes a being.
I started with gt5. that game changed my life. I remember doing the drivers license tests and failing miserably. I was about 6 yrs old in 2014. I then got gt6, and now gt sport. you gotta respect the classics like gt1 2 &3& especially 4!
It's 2020, and now we know that GT7 is coming. Feels good, man.
And the menu brings back classic. There is some 2nd car and tune shop
It actully don't feels good if you think how easy License Tests in GT6 and GTS were compared to the older games.

@@bigmanjorge but you learn nothing if you get gold on the first try, you only learn if you repeat it over and over. That's how I got a much better driver in games, by repeating the tests in GT2 and GT4...

This track is so legendary...
The first calm part, i see it as the beginning of life. Learning, calm,peace,quiet, look for a dream and go for it.
The Rough part is your time to shine, you trained so many years as a child, and finally you can show what you worked hard for, your passion. Learning about the corners in life, the hills and down hills that you need to get over.
And the last calm part is when you know what life is, you experienced all. You're tired and happy, satisfied. You can rest in peace...

PJ and the Craxfords It isn't GT Sport is a filler to test the engine Yamauchi has spent more time on than content was realistic to not make a GT7 this gen with less content. New Foundation is in place now so it's time to fill the next GT with content.
I heard GT4 and Prologue's version in there. But I do think that GT2's version plays for the long version of the credits after winning the last event in the S License tier.

Maybe this is a bit of an over exaggeration but if you really think hard about what this song actually means...this song is the nurburgring nordschilfe in musical form. First Is the naming, now it's odd to call a music from a racing game called "moonlight over the castle" but guess what racetrack is also famous for having a castle inside it, the nurburgring! Second the fact that the song ends near to what is then fastest lap of the nurburgring, done by Stefan Bellof at 6:11 and this last one is for those who have played/drove the nordschleife, as you play the song, imagine you are doing a hotlap of the nordschilfe, you'll start of notice to the similarities between the song's structure and the nordschilfe's layout like the guitar riff @ 4:19 for example near the end is where this "car" is approaching the downhill section aka "the downhill turns after wipperman"!

Man, this song brought tears to my eyes. My first PS1 experience was with this game, my dad handing me the controller to give it a go. Now, we have a PS4, and my dad has not lost his passion for videogames. How thankful am I that I get to have these memories for the rest of my life. 🎮

I've never played any GT game but i still feel the same hits... the sheer adrenaline rushing thru your veins once the guitars hot right after the calm that was the preparation for the race... once the real ding starts it where the cars begin the battle, engine revving like mad, the many gear shifts and the mess of metal and rubber battling each other all for the fight for 1st... several drivers enter, 1 driver wins... *Will that be you? Or some schmuck in a Benz?*
I am so happy that this was my childhood and not Fortnite + TikTok

@@killadroid2 Yes! It's the FIAGTC version in the GT7 trailer which you can listen somewhere at RUclips. It's beautiful, but i will be always listening to the GT2 version, because it's my fav game EVER!
We were only shown the intro to that edition. Fingers crossed we get the action part too, and its just as good.

20 years ago I played GT2, Japanese version, and I heard this for the first time. An instant love, and never skipped GT2 intro.
Because GT1 I had previously was the US version, with that electronic music.
And this, is also named *Knight's Song* by T-SQUARE. In Red and Blue album.
Same composer, Masahiro Andoh, who is also T-Square's guitarist.
This was so cool when I had it... Ahh the time where I was addicted to racing games such as F-Zero and GT and N4S

It's a shame the game isnt breaking ground like it used to. Truly one of the best games of the playstation generation back then. GT2, GT3, and GT4 blew my mind time and time again as a kid. Best car games ever.

やり始めたのは3からですが、車に興味を持った原点です。
当時、小学校の低学年だった私に、誕生日プレゼントとしてハンコンを買って貰え、深夜までやり込んだのは良い思い出です。
今は流石にありませんが、壊れても親が修理してくれ、愛用していました。ただ、椅子だけが無かったので、チャイルドシートを引っ張り出し、バケット風とか無茶苦茶な組み合わせで遊んでいました。
そんなハンコンはGT3、GT4、GT5プロローグまで愛用しましたが、流石にボロボロだったので、泣く泣く手放しましたね。
ただ、その結果、車種・コース別のドリフト採点にて、一度だけ世界5位にまで上り詰めました。
親父よ、本当にありがとう。

Anyone here after Masahiro Ando announced his retirement from T-Square? I am grateful to him for composing this masterpiece, and it is my favorite song of all time. He'll still be playing music, just not as an official member of T-Square anymore. Cheering for him regardless!!

I didn't play any of GTs, I don't even own a PS (neither 1 nor 2 or 3), but I must admit: this piece of music is beyond any other racing titles music. Very inspiring, it makes one want to drive somewhere just to feel the beautiful emotion of driving. Priceless
I think that's the best Theme Song for such a racing game. Everytime when I hear this I'll remember the amazing times when I was 7-8 years old. I had so much fun to sit in my room to play GT3 & GT4, also a bit of GT2. It was a great part of my childhood, and I still remember it.
