Superb concert by Sowmya! Sama and Thodi particularly touched me. Several flashes of brilliance between 18:00 and 24:00 and again between 34:00 and 38:00. Neyveli Sri Narayanan or the Mridangam and Embar Sri Kannan on the violin have provided brilliant and embellishing accompaniment. The thillana in dhurita kalam is a refreshing change. Thoroughly enjoyed the concert! Thank you Jaya TV!!
The concert was excellent but a bit disappointed that Bhoggeendra Sayinam, the gem of a compositions in the Raga Kuntalavarali was not found a place in the programme, though she had mentioned about this composition in her speech.⚘
Sowmya please send a comment to steady health that we don't have belly fat anymore but we do have other health problems that are more important to solve first.
A wonderful performance is marred by the audience response interrupting the concert. Why don't you show them during the interval between 2 songs ? This is a very irritating nuisance in Jaya TV. For example, a good portion of the charanam submerged completely in the audience response. It spoils the mood. Please correct this in the past, present & future concerts.

Whereas in the context of which song is composed by whom, the presence of the Sanskrit words for lotus like "sarojanabha", "sarasijanabha" "pankaja" etc in a song is a potential indicator that that particular song is composed by Maharaja Swathi Thirunal, just like how we can identify Tyagaraja's songs by the phrase "tyagaraja" in them. The latter context is what Smt Sowmya was talking about. :)
