“Mom stop”. Laughed so hard. I hear that at least 100 times a day from my teens. Love love love your videos and how real you are. It’s so refreshing to see real and not fake from an influencer. Appreciate you and everything you’ve taught me. God bless you!

I couldn’t NOT wash every blanket on the bed. So instead, I made beds with fitted and flat sheets and only a very thin comforter. I’d wash them every use because I couldn’t sleep in the bed myself without feeling yucky if the top blankets weren’t cleaned. So I offered the middle layer blanket in the closet. Which most people never reached for, which was really helpful to cut down on laundry. I’d air dry the top thin quilts and replace with the spare quilts. I just sold my 2 year old AirBnB because the market made it a good idea to. But I learned a lot of tips and tricks! You’re doing great..it’s HARD work!

You can add a tag on the cutting board asking them not to put it in the dishwasher. Also on the cabinet door you can put a @how to properly care for cast iron” sign.

Hi Melissa- Love your farm stay. Thanks for your wheel of death tip. Great idea.
So, I have a tip for you,
true story... My family and I were vacation at Airbnb, and we used the gas grill supplied to us and thinking it was safe to use and grilled on it. Before we knew it was engulfed in flames. Thank God too fast, thinking the fire was quickly contained. The house manager stopped in and realized it wasn't our fault. The fire was due to an uncleaned grill proir to our arrival. It had a bunch of grease at the bottom of the grill. That's what led to it getting engulfed so fast.
SO pro-tip ALWAYS CHECK THE GRILL BEFORE EACH GUEST. Hope this was helpful.

I also rent out my home to traveling nurses , medical people or military. We just let them know when we are coming to mow the yard and clean the pool and taking a sample of pool water. Most of our renters stay 3 months. We usually have 2 days in between to clean the house. First thing I check is the oven.

You have A LOT going on! I'm trying to raise less skittish ducks too. Thought I'd get them to imprint on me if I incubated and held them a lot the first few days. All the progress seems lost after putting all 3 of them together in the brooder. All of a sudden they realized they aren't human, and that I'm not a muscovy😔I'll give what you're doing a try. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Melissa- For the Farmstay cleaning days have you thought about blocking out on your calendar 1-2 cleaning days after each booking? that may help with time and you not having to rush because after a while you will get tired. Just a suggestion

I have 3 Pekin and 3..possibly only 2 now..Blue Swedish. They wander probably 20+ acres to the neighbors stream. I have a stream.. why don't they stay home??? But they come home when I call them in the evenings. Takes them a good 15-30 minutes to get back to their pen from when I start to call. They freak me out when they don't arrive..but so far, they have always been waiting for supper when I go out to check just on dusk. We have a LOT of coyote, so you know why I worry.
