“Mom stop”. Laughed so hard. I hear that at least 100 times a day from my teens. Love love love your videos and how real you are. It’s so refreshing to see real and not fake from an influencer. Appreciate you and everything you’ve taught me. God bless you!
Always fascinating to see "a day in the life" videos. Not sure why seeing the mundane in others' lives is so interesting. Ha ha
I couldn’t NOT wash every blanket on the bed. So instead, I made beds with fitted and flat sheets and only a very thin comforter. I’d wash them every use because I couldn’t sleep in the bed myself without feeling yucky if the top blankets weren’t cleaned. So I offered the middle layer blanket in the closet. Which most people never reached for, which was really helpful to cut down on laundry. I’d air dry the top thin quilts and replace with the spare quilts. I just sold my 2 year old AirBnB because the market made it a good idea to. But I learned a lot of tips and tricks! You’re doing great..it’s HARD work!
Thank you for teaching me to make buttermilk biscuits! My husband and I are from the Skagit Valley but moved to Montana almost 4 years ago and love watching your videos.
It's a good thing you're still young with how busy you are ❤ I'm amazed at all your energy. But of course I'm 61 lol. Love watching all yur videos ❤
Hi Melissa! Yes, please keep doing the 'day in the life' videos. 🙂
Melissa, I absolutely LOVE these day in the life videos! Thank you for taking the time to video them and share all of the details of things that you use to keep your home and farm stay clean and free from toxins.
Thank you! Would LOVE to see more like this and anything else that you’re doing! Thank you so much!
I have a glass cutting board. I believe it’s tempered. It has pictures of flowers in it. Something like that might be better.
I'd love to come stay at your farm.
We've been renting out our cabin in the mountains for years. Don't feel bad about saying no to early check ins. Cleaning and inspecting the house is important.
i LOVE the way you baby-talk to your animals!
I love that wall paper!
I would love to see more on the herb garden as it goes back in. I have actually checked a few times recently for an update.
You can add a tag on the cutting board asking them not to put it in the dishwasher. Also on the cabinet door you can put a @how to properly care for cast iron” sign.
I enjoy seeing your day to day life. Would like to see the medical garden and know what plants are good for what issues.
I have a love/hate relationship with your "Day in the life"-type videos. I love watching them and seeing how you manage everything, but they can leave me feeling a little bit inadequate. 🤣
always love a planting video,
Loved this type of video!!! Keep them coming!
Love these kinds of videos! Would like to know more about duck kepping too
I've always loved duck eggs over chicken eggs 😋 so much flavor
Hi Melissa- Love your farm stay. Thanks for your wheel of death tip. Great idea.
So, I have a tip for you,
true story... My family and I were vacation at Airbnb, and we used the gas grill supplied to us and thinking it was safe to use and grilled on it. Before we knew it was engulfed in flames. Thank God too fast, thinking the fire was quickly contained. The house manager stopped in and realized it wasn't our fault. The fire was due to an uncleaned grill proir to our arrival. It had a bunch of grease at the bottom of the grill. That's what led to it getting engulfed so fast.
SO pro-tip ALWAYS CHECK THE GRILL BEFORE EACH GUEST. Hope this was helpful.
So beautiful. Yall are doing an amazing job. Wish we could come out and stay or even help some how. Country living is a blessing and oh so much endless work. Wouldn't have it any other way. Appreciate your wisdom and knowledge. I take notes from your videos. And yes to the herb gardening info. Many blessings to you and yours. Thanks again.
I want to see more about the medicinal herb garden
Yes, on more medicinal herb gardening.
Hi Melissa-I love the Day in the life videos and Congratulations on your beautiful farmstead property! I hope the people that stay there appreciate it and take care of it during their stay their. Your ducklings are so cute and glad your daughter was able to help you.
I love the "day in the life" type vlogs!
I want to see the herb garden grow!
My aunt taught me how to make the bed that way. She said thats how someone told her how army makes there bed. Thays how she was taught and it looks nice and neat too!
Love this type of video. Just seeing all you do in a day and how you prep is really interesting
I do love a day in the life videos.
A Fun day in the life vlog!! Your system is rocking it!! Thanks So Much for the wheel of death😆 mouse trap!!! I’m going to make one asap!!
Loved the tour and baby ducks. So adorable! And the mouse trap , awesome! Val C
You could put a little sign on the dishwasher to please not put the cutting board into the dishwasher lol
So glad you found Wad-Free®! Wad-Frees are supposed to go on every sheet in the load -- flat and fitted sheets -- and then you'll find they work even better 😁🧺 There's also a new one Wad-Free® for Blankets & Duvet Covers 👍
Like this style of video!
I also rent out my home to traveling nurses , medical people or military. We just let them know when we are coming to mow the yard and clean the pool and taking a sample of pool water. Most of our renters stay 3 months. We usually have 2 days in between to clean the house. First thing I check is the oven.
Melissa just before I watched your video today I watched Living Traditions and they got new baby ducks to and what he does for a homemade water and feeder is genius and it’s easy to do. You ought to watch him.
Beautiful farm. Would love to see the herbs! Thanks for bringing us along!
Your doing a great job! God bless!❤
When we first moved out to our farm we had problem with mice in the chicken coop bad. We did this same little trick and we caught 14 mice the first night.
You look great in those glasses !
Love it . Amazing job. You Should make a rule plaque / picture frame on what is allowed and what isn’t allowed in the dishwasher?
Would love to see your herbal garden that you plant. I am starting one also to begin to look at the medicinal side of herbs.
I love the wallpaper! Since it is vintage, you may want to test it for lead paint. ❌️ It was common for the green colors used in old wall papers to be positive for it.
Melissa,
In this video, you are STUNNING. You are ALWAYS beautiful, but in this particular video.... WOW!!
Thank You for all of your information and care you put into these videos.
✝️📖 ❤️
You have A LOT going on! I'm trying to raise less skittish ducks too. Thought I'd get them to imprint on me if I incubated and held them a lot the first few days. All the progress seems lost after putting all 3 of them together in the brooder. All of a sudden they realized they aren't human, and that I'm not a muscovy😔I'll give what you're doing a try. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Melissa- For the Farmstay cleaning days have you thought about blocking out on your calendar 1-2 cleaning days after each booking? that may help with time and you not having to rush because after a while you will get tired. Just a suggestion
Keep up the blogging content!! :)
I have 3 Pekin and 3..possibly only 2 now..Blue Swedish. They wander probably 20+ acres to the neighbors stream. I have a stream.. why don't they stay home??? But they come home when I call them in the evenings. Takes them a good 15-30 minutes to get back to their pen from when I start to call. They freak me out when they don't arrive..but so far, they have always been waiting for supper when I go out to check just on dusk. We have a LOT of coyote, so you know why I worry.
Love these “day in the life” videos. Doing my own “chores” is so much more fun when I can do them with someone else! I love your tea pots, btw, both the one in the farm stay and the copper one in you kitchen. Do you remember where you found them or what brand?
For the copper one was a vintage sale the other on Wayfair, the stainless steel was from Fred Meyers about 15 years ago
Why don't you consider using humane traps? With c 5:36 atch and release method.
What do you recommend use to clean water tank with algae ? Apple cider vinegar or hydrogen peroxide? Or something else? Thanks
Hey Melissa - did you originally caption this video "Managing Two Farms" - when I first watched it this was the video caption.
That' s why I have out door barn cats.....i never have mice in my house.
Such a beautiful view at the Farmstay.
I am very interested in the coffee. Is there a coupon code?
The ducks are so cute. My Granddaughter raises ducks.
Thanks for sharing your video.
If you use the coffee link in the video description it gives you a discount automatically
What herbs are growing this year?
Which brand of rugs do you use?
Ruggable
@@MelissaKNorris thank you!
❤❤❤
What part on the NW are you in?
I just don't like the thought of any bed linens unwashed. I thought I heard you say you flip it, but then I thought I heard you say every 4 guests. Is it because there are four sides? And I am not a fan of carpet in hotels etc...
do you mean December 30th last year? b&b cool 😎 business btw 😮😅🇺🇸
Early! Second comment!
