I restored an old scissors made of gorgeous Solingen steel.
I made it as sharp as a razor and as bright as a mirror.
I like time marks on old hand tools, therefore I left some of them.
    .
I dedicate this work to the burning and disappearing nature and animals.
I am deeply in love with nature.
    .
28 July 2021. The date I bought the scissors.
28 July 1750. The date JS Bach died.
I commemorate the wonderful musician JS Bach with respect and love on his death anniversary.
    .
    Thank you for watching.
Please don't forget to like and subscribe.
Stay safe and see you soon in a new project...

Guys! The work is beautiful, but cutting hard paper is unworthy of tailor's scissors, blunt scissors will also cut it, and a polished handle will turn black very quickly without painting!

Dear friend. Not only is your handcraft an art but also your storytelling and filming. A treat to watch. 28th July was the day we used up the earth’s resources for 2021! The rest of the year, we are using more than the planet can generate… scary and sad. Therefore it’s great to see how you reuse the scissors and other things.’You are a Gentleman towards the planet too!
    Cheers in Whiskey.

Beautiful restoration. I remember my mother had dress making scissors very similar to those in the late 50’s. She made me many dresses using those scissors. Now you just have to restore all the others in the drawer, we can’t have “ugly sisters”! Then you must make a beautifully lined drawer or case to keep them in!🤗

I actually have a pair of scissors that are at least 60-70 years old if not older, and they have been taken care of so they look as perfect as the day the left the shop. Minus some scratches and normal wear marks of course. I need to sharpen them. But I bought a bunch of scissors a few years ago trying to find the best to cut ballistic rated Kevlar fabric. Eventually I found a pair of spring loaded micro serrated on one side, razor sharp on the other, and they cut anything and everything like its butter and they are red hot. I don’t think I’ll ever need another pair of scissors ever again.

Yep, I do it every time, but on the smaller scale - start one thing, then branch out to fix something to be able to continue the first task, 😆. To be honest, my heart sank when the old screw broke. But the polishing is just so bright, so precise! Also, I appreciate the sand off of the old seams on the handle, they must be so much more comfortable now!

Wonderful “mini-movie”, sir! You’re not just showing a restoration- the before, this is how or what was done, and now look at it. You’re about the process. It isn’t the destination but the journey. I’ve been curious about all the short videos you posted and kinda wondering what the heck you were doing. Now it makes sense. Anyways, lot could be said about how very meticulous and purposeful you seem to be, but, without meaning to creepy, I genuinely enjoyed watching this project.

You do beautiful work. You brought those scissors back to life. For myself when I looked at all the scissors in your draw and and saw the wear and tear on them, to me that was also beautiful. Those scissors had a history and a life before you. When i see things that are restored sometimes the past is taken away from the pieces that have been restored. I guess I like to see things that are conserved too. But to each his own. You do, do beautiful work though so keep it up. It is just an old man's opinion.
