Hello my dear friends.
I am happy to present you a new story. Our guest in this story is Mr. Wilton.
VINTAGE WILTON SCHILLER PARK ILL USA NO.504-4"GAP C-CLAMP
I really love this clamp made in USA and decided to give my best effort.
As you know, I love the time marks on hand tools. For this reason, while creating an aesthetic appearance, I did not spoil its vintage form and time marks.
I always decide on the aesthetic approach completely on the way.
Usually I worked with my hands to stop at the right point and to catch an integrity in aesthetics. Also I used tig welding to repair a broken area. I gave very little copper effect to the area that says "Wilton".
I love to make a silky touch on the old surfaces in metal.
At the end Mr.Wilton worked perfectly with his silky and shiny appearance. Now it's a pleasure to touch this hand tool.

Greetings OldHand. Another excellent video and tool restoration. You sure are in a picturesque location when your shop looks out at those massive masonry arches. I tell you, some of those cast C clamps are left rough out of the mold. I am surprised for Wilton to leave it like that. Guess it means more money in their pocket.

That wilton clamp needs to be in a display case, almost a shame to put it to work, but, ah yes, it was made for the purpose of clamping, not using it for its intended purpose is to deprive all concerned of the beauty found in its functionality. Thank you for another great video sir.

I wonder about the moka coffee device you own... had never seen one like that !!! I saw you tried doing some maintenance to it in another video, but I wonder where is it made in... it does have great similitude to the italian process but still is ingenuosly distinct !!!

It was a long travel for wilton to come visiting you. Hope he enjoyed the stay ! Metal was my favorite material when i was in arts school. I cleanup and resell a lot of c clamps. I start with a 120 grit flap disc, a twisted wire disc and a loose wire cup brush in my 4 1/2 grinder, ( well, 3 grinders, I don't change tools. ) Almost all the rust can be removed.
