Funny how a 24 minute video restoring a simple rusty C clap can be so entertaining- more so, more rewarding than most television shows. Anyways, well done, sir. It is always a pleasure to see you have posted something….
Dear Gentleman. That’s a lot of rust! I am glad, and I’m sure Mr. Wilton is too, that you could make him look as new again! Great story my friend. Cheers in some Bourbon. Per-Olov
This is probably the best restoration video I ever seen. I am allways very carefully with my tools, but the way you treat and love your tools is another level. Thank you for sharing this piece of art with us.
A truly stunning video of your journey in making Mr Wilton respectable again. You have such gifted hands and the patience to slowly bring out the shine in any metal. I love your work and the picturesque backdrop of your balcony and workshop area. Thank you.
It is always a pleasure to watch a video featured on this channel. They are an inspiration. Allied to professionalism and work accomplishment, there is good musical taste. Best regards from Portugal.
I've always wondered why these types of clamps weren't typically painted. If all were like this, there'd be no wonder. Looks great! How has it held up? Is it oiled?
Restoration= patience + persistence + experiential knowledge, you sir have mastered the art of restoration like no other I have witnessed, congratulations on a most excellent piece of work. Thank you for the video.
Beautiful cinematography, as always.. Just love the colour change on the vine's, love the saw pendant.. And most of all what a cracking job on Mr Wilton... And now I want a whisky 🥃 cheers
First of all, thank you for your effort my friend. also, capturing the details in the video, resulted in an art short film. That's why you deserve the praise. I look forward to your new applications with excitement. Congratulations..

Bravo! Another beautifully done restoration, making it better than original while keeping the age and bringing out the hidden beauty. I love doing this kind of work (can we call it work when we love it so much?) and watching you patiently restore is relaxing and gratifying. Well done!!
Amazing! That is the first c-clamp I've seen that is worthy of display an art museum. I would be ashamed to put it to use in my shop for fear of spoiling it. Good work! You are an artist.
Your work is so, so tidy !!! Admirable !!! Having such a great artist as your neighbour makes it impossible to stop from assuming the meticulous challenges you undertake too !!! I wonder about the moka coffee device you own... had never seen one like that !!! I saw you tried doing some maintenance to it in another video, but I wonder where is it made in... it does have great similitude to the italian process but still is ingenuosly distinct !!!
Thank you very much dear friend. That moka pot was my fathers. After mamy years I repaired and start to use. Probably made in Hungary. The alphabet looks like Hungarian.
You produce very high-quality videos. One of the best, if not the best restoration content creators on RUclips. Keep up the good work and get ready for lost of subscribers!
That wilton clamp needs to be in a display case, almost a shame to put it to work, but, ah yes, it was made for the purpose of clamping, not using it for its intended purpose is to deprive all concerned of the beauty found in its functionality. Thank you for another great video sir.
Greetings OldHand. Another excellent video and tool restoration. You sure are in a picturesque location when your shop looks out at those massive masonry arches. I tell you, some of those cast C clamps are left rough out of the mold. I am surprised for Wilton to leave it like that. Guess it means more money in their pocket.

I must say I do enjoy watching your videos. I do have some questions that hopefully you would be willing to answer even though I'm late to the party. What is that purple liquid I see you poor on the metal after you have it polishid up, as well as the copper colored liquid you brushed on the Wilton lettering? I'm also curious about what appears to be a viaduct outside your window. Your videos always have a way of capturing my attention.
Thank you very much, I'm very glad you like it. that purple liquid is spirit. Let's think of it like a pure alcohol. the other is a liquid patina. It makes a thin copper coating on the metal. My workshop is inside a thousand-year-old cathedral. this is why you see structural arches outside. good to see you here ✌🏻⚙️⚒️🌟
