18:15 WOOOOW *Had to add, that this is the BEST demo we've seen. We learned much more about the sequencer than any other video. Which is the really fun part. For us. 😀
I’m glad to hear you like it! How much tonal overlap would you say it has with the Matriarch? Currently debating between the two, and I like the ability to save presets haha
@@Erik_Nordlund for me… I would say they’re vastly different. You can certainly get some sounds close to the Matriarch… but they “feel” different I tend to be more simple with the Matriarch as, like you mention without the patch recall, I tend to build more simple sounds as I can’t recall them later lol So matriarch is bread and butter tones for me. Muse I lean into much more complex things literally because of patch recall :) Not sure if any of that helped… But I always find certain synths and their UI tend to lean me in certain sound directions :) Hence why I still have both the Matriarch and Muse :) Cheers 🍻
I could see it too, though the price would jump a TON I bet. I feel like this offers a pretty good price point to what it is and what it competes with in the market :)
There are "gut shots" about. 16 voices would bv hard. You could get a second 8 voice card in but the PSU would have to be moved - most likely to outside the synth.... There would also be heat issues - it gets hot as it is - another 8 voices and it would be cooking. They would have to expand teh enclosure (as Arturia did from Polybrute 6 to Polybrute 12) but its already a deep synth (only 18mm off that PB12). Nothing impossible but I wouldnt be holding my breath. If they DO id happily swap the one I already have for a 16 PA board..
It seems that if their goal was to gear towards performers and stage, they would’ve increased the polyphony to at least 10-12 so there is less of a chance for voice stealing when layering creating massive pads rather than being limited to 4 note chords. Having said that, I wonder if there will be an expansion offered for this or a 12+ polyphonic release
An expansion would be killer, if the price was decent. I personally love mine for recording… but as such, voice stealing isn’t happening for me much while overdubbing :)
Expansion - i doubt it. Theres nowhere to plug another voice board in to the existing electronics. There is room for a small 4 voice card in the existing enclosure mind - and if they added more vents on the left hand side thats could work. 16 would voices be pushing heat and space - they would likely need t move the PSU to an external one, and make an even bigger synth (Muse is already deep).
Beautiful. Thanks Moog, We also, Love Our Labyrinth! It's been amazing for Avant Garde/Noise/Experimental/Abstract/Industrial (old and new)... and so much more. The Muse, would take this to the next level, by patching it to our other Moog synthesizers. 😀👌

Got mine right when it came out… and have been loving it in my dark synth stuff so far. Very playable instrument, and inspiring to play
Agree! How are you finding the learning curve with all the features?
@@soundseasy so far so good. Definitely more to learn of course, but just slowly “unlocking” features as I go seems like the right play :)

@@aloraliquid that helps a lot! The Matriarch sounds are more what I’m after right now, so it makes sense to go for the ‘real thing’. Thank you!
I wouldn't be surprised if they introduce a 16 voiced version next year that includes polyphonic aftertouch

@@aloraliquid it would probably add $1500 to the price.
@@johnniecristaldi sad thing is I’d probably go for it 😂
make a desktop version, and i would be interested.

Timbers and Tambers and Mogues and Mūgs
10:18 sounding like “Music for 18 Musicians”
I think they need to update the firmware and dial back those absolute RAZOR blade oscilators, they’re out of control.

Oh it’s Yawny, he really wants us to know he is really bored on each video, but… he keeps watching.
