Thanks for the review! I was 99% sure it was garbage, but I'm glad you spent the $400+ for shipping to confirm it. I took to heart your comments about their email not working, and it being hard to connect. Their shipping was really poor. Their phone # is an 86 country code (China - of course). And I notice on most of these Chinese knock-off websites or Amazon stores, the "photos" look suspiciously like 3D renders and not actual photos. For some people, this might suffice. For $1,000, and depending on its intended use, it could be a good option. But for me - like for you - it's pretty much CoeLux or nothing. I've been obsessed with their products for 3-4 years now, and I won't settle for less. I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and when the sun sets at 4:45pm in the winter, I really have a tough time. The CoeLux 45 HC is the holy grail of artificial skylights, and since I have to replace my roof anyway, I'm going to look into raising the ceiling enough to fit this in to my office - AND add 2 more feet. Sorry, I'm too lazy to convert to meters. Why the office? Because all of my other rooms have too many windows. Anyway, you said the Paris metro has a couple of CoeLux skylights? Would you care to take a video, if you haven't? This is the first video of yours I've seen, so I apologize if you've already shown us. But I'd love to see one that is not a professionally-shot promotional video. Thanks so much, once again, for this video!
well well well how dare you !! haha jk First of all their price is very often at 500$ now which makes it much more appealing 2) the blues of the lights don't appear as blue as when filming it with an iphone... it's more in the pale purple 3) I do hate 3D renders too ! it seems like so many brands now do just that 4) I have filmed the ceolux in Porte de Clichy with my phone and I thought that I posted the video but I believe that I forgot 5) The Ceolux are indeed the holly grail but I was hoping for more output to be honest... I couldn't see the "ray" of light on the floor or against the wall as we see so well in those (3d photos renders?) on their website. 6)They have a showroom close each to Paris and I would love to take the time to drive their to see all their lights. 7) I was a bit surprised at Ceolux's rendering of the blue as well these I believe were the H45 models so 300w massive lights but I think that the glass was a bit dirty/dusty which didn't help sell the illusion. 8) i'm almost done setting up mine in my new place so i'm be able to do a few more videos. Ceolux's one do look very appealing and it's a much bigger investment for sure but if you only need one then It's probably worth it. but theirs are very thick and I wouldn't be able to have them in my place without protruding so much. have a good one man and stay subscribed with that bell notifications for the ceolux in paris video
Can you leave this on 24/7, and will it automatically mimic the real weather? For example, can I leave this powered on, and the light will "sunset" at the same time as the real sunset. And at night, will it turn off or emit a dark blue to mimic nighttime or moonlight?
yes you can using the app i haven't tried it yet and the app is a bit strange cause once i choose a different "mode" there isn't a "on/activate" button but that was a while back so maybe they have updated the app
haven't seen update on the picutre or video of what it looks like when it's mounted at your bathroom. do you mind do a quick video? thinking of buying this for my bathroom but there's so many different models and companies that does this.
hey man I got a sample today, can you show me some more details on how to power it with wall plug? you mention regular two wire cable system, can you be more specific? my sample has a 6 pin female connector and that is it.
I’ll be excited to see how it looks when you’ve got it mounted. I have a small 6.5 foot by 13 foot room with no windows and am thinking of putting two of these in the ceiling.
yes me too ! i'm been using it for a while now just sitting on my desk and there is sth very pleasant about it. especially at night with the sunset option

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview You could always make a stand for it, to have it sitting next to a wall, and show that in a video, even if it's not a permanent install. For example, making a stand with wheels would allow you to move it to where you need it, for example if you need to film something and you want it to look like it's sunny outside, or maybe it is sunny outside but you don't have a sun tunnel (which can be made cheaper if you get the light from the side walls, instead of from the roof), or to record at night or when it's cloudy videos which would require natural-looking sunlight.
@@SapioiT yeah I could have but I clearly don't have the time these days with work and my new place. but it has been installed now so i just need to connect it to the electricity ⚡️ video coming up soon
Have you installed the skylight at all ? I’m looking for one to replace my real skylight and it’s not easy finding one that’s not expensive. Is this similar to CoeLux where you can see the sun move ?
Hi, No it will be for my new place and it is still under construction. Wait you want to replace a real skylight (an actual window that lets in real sunlight) with a fake LED one ? Or do you have a fake skylight that you are looking to replace ? With this one you do NOT see the fake sun no... in fact it's not sky like really when the light is turned on
Awesome! You could use a line of LEDs with a parabolic "tunnel" and fresnel lenses (basically molded transparent plastic) with the focal line of the fresnel lens (and focal point of the whole system) making a fake sun in your skylight, and it might be cheaper than the alternatives with a fake sun. I think it's at least worth a try. The downside is that your fake sun might not be perfectly round, but that might be a feature. A square (with or without rounded corners) or oval fake sun might be interesting to have in your fake-window.
