This is odd. Social isolation actually increases my energy. Whenever I'm at work or around people I feel distracted, weak, and scattered, but when I'm by myself I feel abundant and sharp as a razor. When I was young I always wanted to not "miss out" and be with others and fit in, but as I grew up I actually realized that I'm the happiest by myself.
This is probably the only debated thing on the list as well as the least impactful as well as something you cannot entirely control. People can be energy vampires most of the time and are a major distraction to all the other things on this list which give a much more profound energy outcome than some random friendly person. I'd say unless you have a stable, positive relationship with someone, I would in no way depend on others for positive energy because most of the time you'll get the complete opposite.
You’re probably just introverted and maybe also an empath. Empaths absorb other people’s energy so easily. When they are in a crowded space, they are essentially “feeling” everyone’s energy and mood, which is incredibly draining. When empaths take themselves out of crowds and back into isolation or just in the company of one or two close friends/family, they are able to recharge since they’re not bombarded by everyone else’s energy and moods.
I worked as a Registered Nurse for 17yrs and was always tired, coffee was used every day as a stimulant to get things done. I am now retired and sleep when I'm tired and eat when I'm hungry, and it doesn't matter how hard I try I can not maintain any kind of routine. I think it's from years and years of shift work.
I work as a nurse in a Covid19 unit. I finally crashed and burned out after working for 4 weeks w/out a "real break". Take care of yourself first because who's going to help you if you're down!
I'm single and new to NYC (last Aug), which makes the quarantine much harder without a real support system. Museums and theaters are still closed. I don't know why they cannot be open with a limited capacity.
I’m not a doctor or anything, but maybe there is a difference between choosing isolation knowing communication is available as opposed to knowing that you’re social ties are completely severed. Perhaps the latter would induce more genuine feelings of isolation.
Omg!! All this time people kept calling me lazy, because my body can’t perform as well as them. I really thought I let myself down, but it turn out I have too much stress, lack of sleep, poor diet and not enough daily exercise. From now on my life will change forever for the better!! I’m so happy I found this Channel!!! 😍😍😍🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 you got a sub from me!! 🥰thank you so much Dr. Mike!!!
Improve Energy - same time sleep and wake up - no blue-light or gyming within 2 hours of sleeping - dont drink coffee 8 hours before sleep - inactivity sucks away energy - therefore regularly exercise (increase baseline energy) - stress - poor diet (vitamins and minerals) - high sugar foods (spike and crash -> chronic fatigue) - stay hydrated (~3L of water a day) - social isolation -> fatigue (connect with real life people)
Im tired asf all day and cant even be bothered getting up but when its 5am when im going to bed i cant sleep. My side of my face starts hurting and i cant sleep then
PEOPLE who I DON'T, DIDN'T choose to be around CAUSES ME MORE ANXIETY AND EXHAUSTION. After 12yrs in RETAIL STORES, dealing with the PUBLIC was toooo much!
I get drained easily by people and need lots of time alone afterwards to recharge. I've always been that way. But I've isolated myself so much and I am experience this exactly. It's no longer helping me but hurting me. The trick is finding likeminded people. Good natured people that arent sucking you dry of energy. I still need time to decompress after spending time with others but that's something I've needed is spending time with others. It's very important for my wellbeing. Even as an introvert. People need people and we need community. So it's just finding a balance between those two that I've been exploring. I hope anyone reading this comment finds the solutions to this exhaustion. Its definitely a cocktail of things that can help. Itll take time but you'll get there. Many blessings to you!
I used to be a flight attendant for 36 years I had serious sleep deprivation never could sleep when I wanted to sleep. I decided that I should retire early so I did last year and since then I sleep 8hrs a day and I feel absolutely awesome I don't feel tired at all during the day and I Excercise regularly I am a long distance runner even during my flying days I never stopped running with Gods grace I am enjoying my Retirement.
I’ve averaged 2 and a half hours sleep for nearly 6 weeks. I’m so exhausted it’s untrue. I’m taking ALL of your advice. I’m scarily tired and it’s effecting work, my health and my mood. Thank you!
Does your head feel heavy and dizzy? I have been dealing with anxiety and sleep insomnia literally out of no where and even when I fall asleep I wake up so exhausted.
I feel tired alot of the time - then one day it struck me! I expect far far too much of myself. What I could do at 30 was twice what I can do in a day now - my excuse...I am 60. It's all about being realistic.
I am around your age. Recently I lost weight by somehow low carb diet now I get tired while taking a shower so that I can't stand up to finish my ten minutes shower. Is it what you mean by saying be realistic?
@@cjennings6179 Introverts are often personable and polite and can be sociable when called upon. We just can't have prolonged exposure - too much noise and anxiety. It's exhausting.
Was drinking 2 to 3 cups of caffeine a day (about 400 to 500 mgs) for years. Started getting extremely tired, so I increased my caffeine intake and still tired and being able to have a cup of coffee a half hour before bed and fall asleep right away! Went to my physician who advised me it was caffeine and that caffeine can actually do the reverse and make me tired. Advised me to withdraw from caffeine. Started with a great tasting decaf that was 5mgs per cup. Going from 500 mgs to 5 mgs was a nightmare. Headaches were horrible for the first three days, fourth day it subsided a bit and within a week I felt way better energy was coming back big time. Now I feel terrific and my physician was very pleased! Still drink a cup of decaf in the morning. Didn't realize how caffeine was totally messing up my metabolism. thank you for your video!! :)
I exercise, eat a healthy diet, get enough sleep, have social interaction and alone time, as well as take a multivitamin which includes all my vitamins and micronutrients. I'm still tired. I give up
Why are you taking multivitamins? Do you have any vitamin deficiency or are you taking them just because they have become norm and everyone else is taking them? Sometimes calcium deficiency and lack of vitamin D also cause exhaustion. In my case, vitamin d and calcium deficiency was the culprit ( as identified by doctor).
@@Goodhealthall2015 I just figured I should, as I know I don't get enough through my diet. At the end of the day, I just make sure to get enough protein for my gains lol. No I didn't hop on a multivitamin bandwagon. I'm convinced I have sleep apnea or something because every night I wake up at least 4 times and sometimes gasping for air on rare occasions. I never wake up feeling refreshed.
As a child we used to throw a tantrum when told to take a nap 😭 . Now that I'm older I throw a tantrum if I don't get to take a nap 😊. Funny how things switch. Regular activity is for the young when you get older it could be a health Hazzard 💥.
This is the most down to earth, honest, common sense, straight up, real and factual video with NO ! Selling I have ever seen. This Doctor is real and is sharing good and factual information......FOR FREE !... Everything he is saying here makes perfectly good sense. Truly impressive..... Thank you Doctor.
Looking forward to the series on sleep issues ! Have had sleep issues since my 30’s. Now a retired night shift critical care nurse, and could still work the night shift , since I have chronic sleep issues. My phone is my constant companion, as I am awake anyway !
Great tips. People should also get their thyroids checked and see if their vitamin D/iron levels are normal. When my thyroid was out of whack, I felt so tired that I wanted to go back to bed by mid morning. After eating a better diet and getting a Vitamix to make lots of fresh fruit and vegetable smoothies, luckily my TSH levels went back to normal to the point where I don't need medication anymore. Americans eat so much fast food and processed foods but it is no wonder so many are obese and unhealthy, and having issues with fatigue.
What kind of fruits and veggies smoothies did you make? I’m dragging all.day.long. And I’ve been taking Vit D for my deficiency for 6 months but still feeling fatigued.
Just by making my daily coffee-intake bed-time 3 pm over the past 4 months has increased my energy levels substantially. Going to sleep at about 11 pm I've been waking-up refreshed in the morning. I changed this behavior after complaining to my doctor that I'm tired all the time. She asked me about my coffee intake. I haven't reduced the intake, but just by restricting the timing of the intake reduces caffein's influence in sleep, giving me more sleep-quality. I've also begun taking a higher dosed vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) with my B-supplements. This also helps me to be less active in sleep and my body heals better this way, I feel. My knees feel better in the morning.
Thank you so much for this!!!! I am a single mom of a 3 year old and I constantly worry about keeping a roof over his head especially with the new covid rules making it hard for daycare to be consistent Etc. I noticed as I was listening do you list all of the factors for being chronically tired that they pretty much run together in a vicious cycle. My body has been telling me what to do to fix this for months, but the confirmation I've gotten from here has caused me to feel more motivated to develop and maintain a consistent healthy routine. I have found that the most important factor for me is early morning exercise. It leads to All Good Things throughout the day. When I had succumbed to being a tired mom it would cause me to fix meals that were fast and not so healthy because I didn't feel like I had the the energy to do otherwise. At first, changing and setting a better routine was very hard to do because you have to force yourself from a place of no energy. but like you said the discomfort is short-lived and the quality of my life especially with my children has more than doubled. In conclusion your advice is life-changing and makes any life transformations I can be going through at any time so much easier to transition successfully.
Thank you so much! I’m getting more and more tired everyday. I’m in college and I need energy to get all my work done, but not having energy to do it stresses me out, I stay up later to finish, I get less sleep, so I’m more tired the next day which means I’m slower to finish more work. The cycle repeats. Now I know that managing my stress is the first step and then repairing my sleep schedule can happen and I can feel normal again.
Thanks for this video! I used to feel very tired during the day until I discovered Liquid Gold! Omg…my energy is even and consistent, and lasts through the most challenging times of the day! Try Right Dynamix. ~
Here about a year later with a pandemic raging, six months of social isolation are really taking a toll on me and much of the nation. It has been difficult living in Texas where the wearing of masks, physical distancing, and even acknowledgment of the threat this virus poses were, until very recently, seldom seen in public. I feel very vulnerable, as I know much of the nation does. The constant low level stress is wearing on us. My wife and I have been taking turns having mild depression. I consider us to be among the fortunate in that we have good health care, are financially secure, and work to follow health guidelines like the ones you mention. Even then it is becoming more difficult to get good sleep and not be mentally paralyzed by this unfolding calamity. What really concerns me is the huge number of people facing this upheaval without the tools and advantages we have. Our nation faces a looming mental illness epidemic and a surge in avoidable illnesses from alcoholism to diabetes. Add all that to the emerging understanding of serious COVID sequelae and the likelihood that we face another year with this pandemic and it is obvious our society faces a significant long term burden from this mishandled disease. And then there is the financial cost... TLDR: Vote as if your life depends on it.
That isolation point has me thinking with what I’ve been experiencing with. As a kid, I always wanted to be a part of the group and mainly the “center of attention” a lot of the time, but as I got older, I’ve became a lot more reserved and more self independent in the way of thriving off my own energy and being to keep myself sane and intact. And only when I am in social interactions or around other people, especially groups of people where I’m kind of “expected” to socialize, a part of me deep down wants to just go and socialize, and have fun and be myself, but another part of me holds me back and creates a kind of conflict within myself that creates a buildup of emotional stress sometimes and I hold it back until I am able to isolate myself to where I can then let it out. That’s the more severe side of it but I mainly feel more drained around other people sometimes unless it’s with one or two other people that I care about or that I can really connect with. But I’m at a point where I’m so mentally drained where I’m not even open enough to having new connections or when I do, I can’t keep up with them and it seems like it’s my fault for not seeming like I care enough or want to actually talk to that person, which I do, but I get so caught up in myself and trying to take care of my priorities that those relationships slip away. Don’t know if anyone else experiences this same kind of thing
I go out to bars and clubs frequently. I find that the days when I'm obsessed with my image or how I'm coming across, my energy is drained in such an endeavor. Humans are a social species, so we understand that there are consequences to breaking social norms (and in the past might've meant isolation from the tribe). So it's deeply embedded in our psyche to put up a front and not let loose. But understand that in doing so you become less charismatic and even worse, physically, emotionally and mentally fatigued
I usually make a video for myself every day if I'm feeling pissed of at something, and this has helped me tremendesly achieve a mental calmness that I've never had. Make sure to take care of your brain, which means actually going to a therapist to talk about your issues, this also applies to the doctor that you have, also make sure to talk to your friends/family because they could be struggling with the same issues that you have. I think this is still excellent advices and will make sure to prioritize this, Thanks Mike! 😄
That could be insufficient adrenal hormones. In that case you don't want to work yourself. As your body is already "burning out" constantly (struggling/fight or flight mode). And you would need rest. And recovery (pregnenolone - DHEA - hormones even, if your condition was bad long enough to cause a deficiency). Ha! The irony! Maybe Sometimes fatigue is something you need to give into because your body is actually aching for rest and recovery... Not to be pushed further "invigorated" by exercises. That could cause weight gain! High stress hormones. Dr. Ray Peat - Google then add the topic concern. Traditional endocrinologist, ahead of his time. ✌️
Start small and increase volume daily. Like today a set of 5 push ups. Tomorrow 2 sets of 5. The day after that 3 sets. If you can't complete all sets without struggling you don't increase the volume. Goal here is to redirect energy from pointless drain to productive gains. Then you can start working on 6 reps per set. You need to understand that your body/subconscious mind is literally draining energy to *make* you feel bad, while creating a cycle of appetite loss followed by cravings coupled with reliance on mood boosting effects from stimulants.
Not only informative but entertaining as well! I clicked on this thinking about my dad who complains almost daily about being tired. He ticked off a number of the boxes, including stress, alcohol consumption, frequent urination.....and he is 70 so the mitochondria thing. Also at 70, he is not likely to change much. I can see that he has trouble shifting from a young man's expectations of himself to a senior man's expectations of himself. I feel for him. Wish there was something I could for him. I do try to get him to eat his vegetables and regularly ask him if he is drinking water. :P And I definitely see where I could make improvements for myself here too though. Good information. Thanks Doctor Mike!
Low vitamin D can cause fatigue. Get out and get a little sun. Just need about 10 minutes. I’ve been doing this myself and it helped my sleep so much better. Sitting in sun just feels good.
I’ve reduced consuming sugary sodas, sweet desserts by 97% of my daily life & I try to routinely do High Intensity Training gym every 3-4 days and drink enough water roughly 1 to 2L per day. The only BIG Mistake I’m making that making me feel tired all the time is random sleep times. I’m working on that. Thank you for the realization, Doctor!
Wow, you hit the nail on the head. I’ve just recently got my first full-time job that has me always on the computer and there’s no one else in my department so I, for the majority of work, am by myself. My social interactions have decreased a TON (also because of the pandemic) and I need people, I need that energy. Great video!
Iv been so tired and for so long that I came back to this video.. not remembering I watched it and I see I have liked the comments.. and it has made me feel that being exhausted has somehow crept into my personality now.
This is the best scientific explanation I have ever heard. The ATP and mitochondria thing was really wow! School should have taught us the connection of atp/mitochondria to regular life rather than made us memorize it for exams. This is really superb content!
What people don't realise is that most of their depression comes from laying in bed all day, from literally just sitting down doing nothing. It's a crazy reason but this is because as humans we were designed to be proactive, that's why we have arms and legs the way we do, if we were designed to sit down all day we'd be shaped like a tortoise or something lol. So when we do nothing our body basically malfunctions and doesn't act right thus making us randomly feel down. Notice when you've been laying down all day and get up you still feel tired even though you've rested all day, it makes your body malfunction. I just made a video on all this and went in deep check it out and stay blessed 🙏❤
I support almost all the things you said, save "small meals with healthy snacks" although my knowledge is limited, our ancestors never had " snacks", I find it eating within a certain window and fasting for 16 hours works. Your body gets time to repair and autohagy happens during the fasting time.
#7 living in Manhattan. Where you are required to be 100% productive 24/7 and adderall is a must to compete with others for a job. The struggle is real!
You are a great speaker, not to mention that you are very smart and knowledgeable. You are speaking calmly and clearly and I like it very much! Thank you.
Thanks for the video and good explanation to why I might be feeling fatigued so much, Dr. Hansen, and thank you for the good example you set by helping people with the knowledge you have gained and hard work you do to help others!
A few years ago I took a two week vacation and brought a flip phone instead of my iphone. I started feeling fantastic after a week of no smart phone. When I returned from the trip I immediately went back to feeling awful. It's the constant stimulation from computers and phones that is destroying our sleep quality.
6) Social isolation - pre Covid foreshadowing! This may explain why I've been taking 1 or 2 naps extra a day and have felt even less energetic than usual the last six months.
1. Balancing alkaline and acidic food 2. Doing excercises 3. Working at the computer 8hours a day(bad but wasn't like that before) 4. Not using drugs. 5. Not drinking coffee at all But I still get tired too fast. Not like before
Number 6 is actually reverse for me, I'm INFP (MBTI personality). And an empath. I get drained physically and emotionally and mentally from too much socializing. I only need my family on a daily basis. Once a week going to Church is enough social activity to last me the week. And seeing my best friend once in a few months is great. I was always tired in High School. After a day at school, socializing much more than I needed, I would have to take a power nap and isolate myself with my music and my cat till dinner time. It drained me being around all those kids all day.
I’ve dealt with extreme fatigue for the last few years and just got my Lupus diagnosis. I changed my diet and still go on 3 mile walks every day in the evenings but I’m still fighting to stay awake throughout the day
This is good! The ironic thing: it takes energy to prepare the right foods, so you eat processed foods because they're the easiest. Also, I'm retired and live on a shoestring, and healthier foods cost more, the cheaper foods are less healthy. I need to break the cycle though and even focus on changing ONE thing, then hopefully that improvement will help springboard me to work on other changes... I'm really in a rut with conditions causing severe pain and limited mobility, so sometimes I get tired of the pain that comes from pushing myself...Doc, your video had much wisdom and has motivated me to restart working toward changes... Thank you and God bless you!
I am a lazy cook...but since I tried a Keto lifestyle I have reduced the cost and time to prepare and eat...I then found it easy to go to OMAD..one meal a day..and I spend less on food and it is all very much healthier...I guess it depends on what country you are in..In Australia I calculate what it costs for a pound of protein...and that shows me that nutrient dense foods are better value...and cooking a steak is really quick and easy!
Started taking hot showers blasted with 2 mintues of ice cold water. Best I could do to simulate sauna and ice bath treatments. My energy levels, temperament, and overall mood has stabilized. I just feel like I can tackle anything with an optimistic attitude. This and fasting, are the easiest things I could do for my self as it actually reduces the amount of decisions per day and has negative cost, you actually save money and increase productivity because you feel good. Just thought i would share my experience.
Two years ago I was always tired and no amount of sleep would make me feel rested. It turned out that the excessive sugar in the processed food I was eating all the time was driving my insulin level way too high. Also after an Insulin spike I'd feel very hungry and eat more processed food. It's amazing how much sugar is hidden in processed food. Even things you might think are "healthy" are high in sugar. I started Intermittent Fasting and switched to Whole Foods, Foods that are are not hey appear in nature and NOT modified by a factory. Not only did I get my energy back, but I lost 75 pounds and went from obese to normal weight.
@@ARolls-dd2zd I try to avoid bread as much as possible. My lunch would be pork chops, hamburger patty (no bun), fish, or beef. When I was working, the food would be precooked and just reheated. Now that I'm retired, I have an air fryer oven to cook the food directly. I do also have vegetables that are microwaved with the lunch.
I know this video came out before the pandemic and its demand for social isolation... But well, we know now how crucial that last point is... And I am exhausted this fall... Have been for over a month now. I'm not totally isolated, I still meet my new boyfriend (we are both in our 40ies) and his two children. But I don't meet anybody else... No colleagues. Only met two friends since the pandemic, and my parents only once this summer, in their garden with a lot of distance... No social gatherings, nothing, you all know. And thank God for digital/video calls, I've done a lot of that. But its of course not the same. This is draining us all. Everyone I know are depressed. What can we do?...
Thanks for this video. No alcohol, no smoking but other than that all the points you mentioned applies to me. Well my husband's chronic illnesses going on and on for almost 7-8 years have now taken toll on me. However I try to be positive and energetic, when I am alone, I keep mumbling, when this situation will be better? I don't like doing my chores with enthusiasm and I just doing because I have no choice. Two sons and their family members are very loving caring and calls every day but they are far away and where we live we do not have our community people. Both are retired so no social circle either. I can not get relaxation by way of enjoying my passion of life - Painting portraits and other creative things I used to do, no time and relaxed state of mind. Well with your video I learned a lot and I see that there is nothing wrong with me but little but of deviation in my daily routines will make a huge difference. Thanks.
A lot of good information in this video. I follow several independent doctors and listen to their videos carefully. Other doctors have mentioned that eating small meals several times a day with snacks is a bad idea because although it may prevent a glucose “spike“, it keeps your insulin levels elevated. Elevated insulin levels contributes to insulin resistance and of course IR contributes to metabolic syndrome. MS has a cascading negative effect on your health including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and obesity.
That was a good video. Thank you. Stress plays a huge factor in Urban lives yet we are unaware how severely it effects us including our physical health. Please make a video on this.
I just always feel so sleepy and can't stop falling asleep, and bc of that I can't study. my scores are getting worse. Even when people try so hard to wake me up they can't. My sleep was heavy before but now it's heavier. Sometimes I wake up and talk to them but fall asleep again and forget that I woke up and even talked with them.
Dr Hansen all of these fit me to a “T”! I tried to explain my issue of excessive tiredness to my PCP and understandingly he attributed it to my depression. I see it is a combination of all of this! I just need to find a way to step out of this and it’s hard as a 74 yr old.
Lack of sleep ( same time, blue lights, silence, don't exercise before bed) Too much caffeine ( and close to bedtime) Alcohol before bed Inactivity Too much stress (exercise, mindfulness) Eating unhealthy ( Small frequent meals) Sugary drinks Not enough water Social isolation
With all due respect, the “drink half of your body weight in ounces” rule has served me much better than the “8 glasses a day” rule. Glasses come in all sizes and shapes just like people do. Once I learned about proper hydration, a ton of ailments I had previously (including low energy) just went away. Nice video though. Thanks for sharing!
I think you mean "Drink half an ounce of water for every pound of your bodyweight". If most people drank half their bodyweight in ounces every day they'd very quickly die of hyponatremia.
@@cerumen 200 lbs divided in half is 100. So I would aim to drink around about 100 ounces of water a day. Said another way, If I drink half an ounce of water for every pound (of 200) I would still drink 100 ounces.
@@OwnYourOwnBus101 yes that’s what I realised you meant, but people use all sorts of measurement units for body weight (stones pounds and ounces, stones and pounds, pounds alone, kilograms) so if you say “your body weight in ounces” someone might think you’re saying “measure your body weight in ounces, then drink half of that” or alternatively “drink half your body weight in kg in liquid ounces” which would also end up with something like 970 ounces, which again would kill a person. Or “drink half your body weight in stones in liquid ounces” which would be less than a glass a day. The sentence “drink half an ounce of water for every pound of your body weight” is a less ambiguous way of communicating that idea
I don't know why, but my mind tends to become more anxious right before/during bed time, I also have a vivid imagination (thinking someone's breaking in, when it might just be a neighbor coming home late, for instance..), so I turn the tv on, to zone out all the little noises, but then I can't sleep due to (yes, you guessed it..) the tv being on. So I wake up too late, become exhaustingly tired mid day, take a "nap" and then the same problem all over again. It's an evil cycle, hard to break, especially when you live by yourself with anxiety/a highly sensitive mind.
Number one energy vampire is KIDS! You lose sleep. You'll nee more coffee. You'll have less time. At least another dozen ways you haven't even thought of. They are totally worth it!
No, they're not. When you're sick and homeless, no fault of your own, and they tell you to your face they're tired of you and your problems, and they never want anything to do with you. Ever. Been ten+ years, don't know if they're still alive or anything. Gave up my life to make sure they had a good one. No one left.
This guy is correct about coffee, and adult drinks. 50 years ago, I would say coffee after 11:00 AM would keep me up after midnight. I was laughed at. Same thing with drinking, I never felt rested. Sometimes it caused insomnia from drinking. I didn't get it and suffered for many years. Then I found out about my diabetes, and the lights came on. I started educating how to save myself. Better late than never.
Yes that's probably last priority on the list with the least impact. I know plenty of isolationist who lead amazing, productive, energy filled lives because they have everything else on that list on check. If anything people tend to be energy vampires and negative distractions for the most part. A good relationship with a significant other provides much more stable positive energy than a bunch of random people with their irrelevant opinions on your life.

If social isolation is linked to depression then why am i happier when im by myself?
I’m not a doctor or anything, but maybe there is a difference between choosing isolation knowing communication is available as opposed to knowing that you’re social ties are completely severed. Perhaps the latter would induce more genuine feelings of isolation.

It's no longer helping me but hurting me. The trick is finding likeminded people. Good natured people that arent sucking you dry of energy. :)
Same with me. Caffeine made me more tired. Unfortunately I started drinking coffee again. Symptoms came back again.
That is so interesting, I must try this !

May I ask if lab tests are needed to for this? If it does, what specific lab tests should I ask for?
You can also get vitamin D from direct sunlight.
What fruits and veggies did u make them with?

Social isolation is very true. Speaking from someone who haven’t had real social interaction like going places together in years, making friends, etc.

Lack of sleep is the story of my life!
It can make you crazy too. I feel I fight for sleep now that I'm older.
Also, i consider myself a natural introvert. Very metastisized introversion too
You're not alone in this alone thing.
Been experiencing the same exact thing...
Attention sinking can make you as an energy vampire. Energy vamps be wanting attention so bad that they had drain people trying to get it.

Thank doc!! I knew all this already very very rare I lack energy!!! I’m up at 330 every morning and hit the gym 7 days a week 45 mins to 1 a day 💪🏻
I usually make a video for myself every day if I'm feeling pissed of at something, and this has helped me tremendesly achieve a mental calmness that I've never had.
How can i make physical activity if i'm tired the whole time?
Drink alot of water. Those sugary drinks make you sleepy and make you crash
I was dozing off during the intro and his “BOOM” woke me back up. 😅
"get rid of them" - Absolutely true.

A few years ago I took a two week vacation and brought a flip phone instead of my iphone. I started feeling fantastic after a week of no smart phone. When I returned from the trip I immediately went back to feeling awful. It's the constant stimulation from computers and phones that is destroying our sleep quality.

@Bird Watcher A hot doctor who has problems with patients hitting on them all the time, your life must be SOOO hard!
The social isolation one really depends if your an introvert or an extrovert. Introverts get their energy from being alone.
You should send your lack of sleep information to these big corporations who like to make you work every type of shift hours imaginably.
Exactly.
I was born at 6:47pm and I was brought at home sleeping and every since then I feel tired everyday
Dr.Mike Hansen. I totally agree excellent explained to all of us .thanks .God bless and peace grace to the whole wide world 🌎.
This is such a valuable channel. TIL drink alcohol in the morning.
Hey you need plenty of more water before the kidney.
Dr Hansen all of these fit me to a “T”! I tried to explain my issue of excessive tiredness to my PCP and understandingly he attributed it to my depression. I see it is a combination of all of this! I just need to find a way to step out of this and it’s hard as a 74 yr old.
Lack of sleep ( same time, blue lights, silence, don't exercise before bed)
Too much caffeine ( and close to bedtime)
Alcohol before bed
Inactivity
Too much stress (exercise, mindfulness)
Eating unhealthy ( Small frequent meals)
Sugary drinks
Not enough water
Social isolation
THANK YOU SO MUCH DOCTOR HANSEN!
Thanks Doc for re-affirming this GREAT advice, wish more people would listen, learn, and get healthier. All the best Sir
I have been vaccinated last day, and I feel so tired and weak lately. It seems like I just want to lay down and get rest and sleep.
Found this on Reddit. Excellent info, thanks!
Thank you! Hope it is useful for you. Love your videos, looking forward to the next one!
@@DoctorMikeHansen Are you pro-colloidal silver
Number one energy vampire is KIDS!
You lose sleep. You'll nee more coffee. You'll have less time. At least another dozen ways you haven't even thought of.
They are totally worth it!
IrelandVonVicious absolutely
You're not a very good salesperson 😂...I'll pass on the kids, thank you.
Amen! Love the Little Lifeforce Suckers tho!
Thanks, not having any
No, they're not.
"Isolating yourself from other people is associated with depression"... if you've ever cut off toxic people you know it can have the opposite effect.
But he never said it wasn't. also "everyone" isn't toxic get some friends please.
Isolating means you don't see anyone at all but ok
To be fair, he did say that 🙂
That is so true. You can pay an enormous price for allowing the wrong people into it.
05:26 I don't know why taking a burger apart underwater helps lol
I think they bought it at a Dive Thru! 🤣
I already do everything you suggest, but every night I dream very vivid and articulate dreams that make me wake up tired. I'm autistic and ADHD.
