The whole album is this good! My favorite non single is either He Doesn’t Know I’m Alive or Funny How Time Flies, Janet co-produced 8/9 tracks and this album was nominated for Album of the Year at the Grammys in 87
Funny how time flies was the last single. He doesn’t know is my favorite track. You Can be mine is the only other none single and that is also a jam! Should have been a single!
So glad you really connected with this album. It really is that good! The Pleasure Principle is my favourite track, but the album version doesn’t compare to the single/video version, you need to react to that version! Every track on the album is superb and unique. Janet doesn’t get the credit she deserves especially in the UK. So glad you really enjoyed this!
Yes, "Control" the album is really good. But its follow-up "Rhythm Nation 1814" imo tops it by a mile. It is hands down one of the best pop albums ever made.
The music gods have smiled upon you 😂. This entire album is amazing. My sister wore this cassette out. So it always reminds me of her. Also when I was in elementary school the quietest girl in the class did this for the talent show and she did a dance routine starting on the floor for the beginning part of the song. And that little girl tore this song up out of nowhere. Better than anything that talent show had to offer. I will always think of that girl when I hear this song.
All I can say is why haven't you seen the video; it will take this song to another level with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis participation in the video; just amazing.
I forgot to say thank you; I enjoy your channel as I binged watched some videos. I love music and enjoy 80's music as I lived during this era. I hope you follow up with Lisa Fischer with the Rolling Stones as she is one of my favorite female singer. Thanks again.
This one is definitely a production showcase for Jimmy & Terry. So glad you loved it! She doesn’t have a bad single between 1986-2002. Hope you can get to all of them! And yes the album is short and tight, every song is a banger.
Control! I was a sophomore in high school when that came out. Super fabulous! Omg, are you not familiar with What Have You Done for Me, Lately? Oh man, I'm looking forward to your words on it. Also, mAybe watching the video is a good idea with that one. 💃💃💃💃
Hello BTG, I am really loving your reactions! Great work! I am so glad you are discovering Janet Jackson's catalog! She is one of the all time GREATS! Yes continue with the Control album album (1986,) Rhythm Nation album (1989), Janet album (1993), The Velvet Rope Album (1997), All For You Album (2001), etc. Also you have to watching her music videos of the singles, she is phenomenal and you will be blown away. You in for the a great journey! Enjoy the ride.
I was born 1980 but didn't really start buying tapes until I was about 10. In the 80s themselves I remember listening to Thriller on a crappy little record player and loving it. Used to listen to that all the time and then someone lent me the cassette of Bad which i (and every other kid) was obsessed with. Other stuff i remember is just whatever my older sister was listening to like A-Ha, Bros, New Kids On The Block.. stuff like that!
Check out some more recent Janet, check *Made For Now* and be sure to watch the official video, and also: *Damn Baby* & *Heaven* and *Feedback* & *All For Your* plus *Thats the Way Love Goes*
YES the entire album Is that good . Not the Gary Numan song! 7 of the 9 tracks were singles. However my favorite song is “ He Doesn’t Know I’m Alive” which my older sister loved too.
Janet Jackson is the BLUEPRINT of all the current singers and no one will be like her she’s LEGENDARY, GOAT and an ICON 👑❤❤❤❤❤

CONTROL is still my all time fav album of Miss Jackson.

I had no idea she ever sounded like this, or was this good. It's a lot tougher-sounding than I was expecting
@@bridgethegapreactions Her toughness decreases each album, but tough Janet is my favorite.
Yep. That album is groundbreaking!
"Jam and Lewis did the right thing. Motherfuckers.".
What a huge compliment.
It was her breakthrough album. The album is great

Good tip, I'll do that version thanks!
@@bridgethegapreactions Yes please, do the video. Love ur reaction man. Her music, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis...they made magic together!

Such a awesome classic. You can't help but move to this jam it's 🔥🔥🔥🔥 and let me say her career took off after this album.

You need to react to the short film official music video of this song and her performance of this song at the 87 American Music Awards.
❤ Janet is amazing

Yes Yessss buddy. What a way to start janet than from the control album. It has AMAZING PRODUCTION, I hope you enjoy!
Yours Truly
You should give a reaction to the version she recorded for the live video, it’s even better than the studio version.!
I'm loving your Janet Jackson journey so far. You're in for a fun ride! She's incredible.
The album is that good...pop classic!!

I can't wait!
Wow!! I can’t believe you grew up in the 80’s and have never heard this classic Janet song!! What were you listening to in the 80’s?
I was born 1980 but didn't really start buying tapes until I was about 10. In the 80s themselves I remember listening to Thriller on a crappy little record player and loving it.
