This whole era was crafted to perfection, Madonna was back and ready to meet us on the dancefloor, the pink leotard, the glittery belt, the empty dance studio, the boombox, the different cities then moving onto Sorry with the same theme, can't look at a white van without thinking of Sorry, both Get Together and Jump were recorded while she was on tour but she still managed to connect all the videos to the COADF theme
Do you know why _everyone_ uses the same *"boombox"* during the entire video? The "boombox" that everyone uses in all the scenes is the common thread of the entire video: it is the object in charge of carrying the music and guiding the people to their union! "Music makes the people come together"!
The Dance style that you saw from South Central, Los Angeles is called KRUMP, an African American street dance that originated there in the early 2000’s by Caesar “Tight Eyez” Willis and Jo’Artis “Big Mijo”Ratti !
Some elements of parkour throughout the video. Parkour: the sport of traversing environmental obstacles by running, climbing, or leaping rapidly and efficiently.
I love how she incorporated England(London) and NY in the video. Just like she always incorporates her current surroundings and culture - in case of MadameX it is Fado and other influences in Portugal. It's so interesting to me - from Vogue to Fado and others. I'm sure if she would be here in Finland she would incorporate our musical styles. I don't think she wants to be 'popular' anymore. She IS the meaning of popular. She wants new, she wants interpretation.
There is also a less aggressive style of the dance called CLOWNING. Created by Thomas”Tommy the Clown “ Johnson. A documentary about this called RIZE by David LaChapplle is worth a watch ! MRS. E. E. ZAYAS
I think she must be close to my actual age in this video and she’s doing stretches and bends and dance dance revolution routines and I can barely get off my couch without bones creaking. Lol. Props to this bish (said in respect, not misogyny) for still going strong this late in her career. I think 4 Minutes might have hit #1 in the US after this, but don’t quote me on that. Not my favourite M track and really she should burn any collabs she did with JT at this point. lol. She’s written far better songs after that one. Hung Up and pretty much the whole Confessions album is a masterpiece
Regardless of how people feel about JT, 4 Minutes is a banger for both of them and there's no shame in listening to it. It's also vastly superior to this particular song in just about every way.

The ABBA sample is great, I'm just disagreeing that it's the only good bit about the song. My favourite bit is the "I can't keep on waiting for you..." bridge, which doesn't have anything to do with the sample.
Fun fact: she had eight broken bones after a riding accident whilst filming this video. And still pulled off a performance like that!
Yup, her bones were still settling. Most of her arm movements are with her right arm 😊
Yeah, i read that afterwards. That's absolutely insane.
Some of the X-ray takes were shown as backdrop on her Confessions Tour (during Like a Virgin).
Yeh so true. She actually said her dancing wasn't up to scratch coz of her accident hence why she did the roly poly hand movement 😅
@@jaxmanx and if you notice, her left hand is for the most part stationary while she rolls her right fist around it.

Saturday Night Fever references. 🔥
The video is also an homage to the rehearsal scene in Saturday Night Fever
Oh cool! I haven't seen that for years but that makes sense

big big credits to producer STUART PRICE / this single reached no.7 and her last no.1 was music 2001.

USA banned her after her American life album 😢❤
Yeah the unedited directors cut of that video was an instant blacklist when American patriotism was at an all time high after 9/11 and the Iraq war.
Her career was never the same after that ban

This would have been good with out Abba because there are some sounds that abba didn't do
The last good album she made
Rebel Heart is great! Love it

Without Abba this song would be boring.
Nah
@@bridgethegapreactions Well she clearly thought it was important enough to contact them personally to get permission to use it. So, I would say Yea.
