To answer your question about the song selections in the different parts of the show, Madonna said in an interview that she divides her shows into different themes and for the Sticky & Sweet Tour the four themes/sections were, in order: Pimp, Old School, Gypsy, and Future Rave. Once you know that, all of the song choices and arrangements made perfect sense.
Madonna is revered in Argentina by her passionate fans. There was so much electrifying energy in this spectacular concert to light up Buenos Aires that night. Just awesome! ❤this tour. Thank you for covering it.😊
I love this show! I was at the show in Oslo and it rained and rained, but she put on an amazing show. The stage was so that you could really see her clearly when she was out on the "arm" and the woman is tiny tiny and still fills the stadium with pure energy, charm, talent, charisma - just her whole being is so huge in a tiny package.
This tour was right after her breakup with Guy. You can see she definitely feels a little bit more free to be herself during this tour. The crowds were fabulous for Sticky and Sweet and I think it all came from her insane energy. I understand you hear some tracks from the album that definitely weren't the most popular but Madonna makes them work and they fit to each respective section. S&S will always hold a special place in my heart.. stellar show and I was lucky to see it 2x in Philly once in AC in 2008 and then I saw it again in Paris for the second leg in 2009.
It's a common things I've heard from these recent reactions- people were lukewarm on Hard Candy (or hated it) but this seems like one of her most fun tours. It does look like it was a blast
This was a phenomenal tour. I saw it twice at Wembley Stadium. Like a prayer was incredible and to see everyone in the stadium clapping dancing and singing along was incredibly special.xx
That's how you rock a stadium of more than 70.000 people (sold out) and for four days straight (in Buenos Aires only). And she did it in her fifties also, and all around the world in her life in five continents, no other female artists can be compared to her talent or strength, may be no other artits either, well done. She's deeply loved and respected for herself and what she has achieved. An achievement other people's dreams cannot even come close to. Brilliant reaction as always big bro, loved it, eagerly awaiting for your full reaction and ideas for the concert.
This was my first ever Madonna tour live (I missed SO many good ones) and this is not her best, but there are a lot of great moments that watching this again bring me back. I loved Beat Goes On, Vogue, Miles Away, Devil Wouldn’t Recognize You, Into the Groove, Music, She’s Not Me. Then there was some not great stuff but overall it was amazing to finally see her live… even if I was in the nosebleed section, singing and dancing my ass off while everyone else probably thought I was annoying or crazy. Lol And speaking of moving… this woman is a machine… she must have been, in her 50s… a total beast!
I was twice in this concert on the first row. First time in Sevilla in 2008 and the next time in Madrid during the round two of this tour that she did the followed year. It was really amazing beind there and it's a memory that I'll never loose.
23:45... DURING this section of the show... there was a PERFORMANCE of "FROZEN" that got cut from THE DVD RELEASE... IT has a "TECHNO CLUB SOUND" to it... The REMIX and the PERFORMANCE were 🔥 🔥 yo
The round screens are called a Stealth Screen. I had a long chat with some of her stage crew in Paris and apparently it was pretty revolutionary tech in 2008. They said it was very tricky to set up and transport.
I definitely felt it was a highlight… honestly, most of the Hard Candy songs were really good… it was a few of her remixes of classics that were a disappointment… but mixing Vogue and 4 Minutes was genius… and damn those men were haaaawwwtttt in those costumes. Lol
Hello, of this tour there was a second part with substitutions of some songs such as Bordeline Heartbeat etc. Dress Up, Holiday with a tribute to Michael Jackson who died at that time and Frozen were included
I’m a life long fan, and I loved this tour (and album!). Was at the opening night in Cardiff, and going into it with no idea what was about to happen was incredible! I also agree about the hair style, it’s incredible, right? The gypsy punk band are a really famous band called Gogol Bordello, you should check them out, they’re amazing! React to Start Wearing Purple if you can 😉😂
Gogol Bordello (NYC based Ukrainian gypsy punk band) performed with her during her Live Earth benefit concert at Wembley Stadium. Then it was the Kolpakov trio (Russian Romany/gypsy musicians) that joined her for the S&S tour.
I was lucky enough to attend this tour on Election Night 2008 here in America when Obama won. We all got the news together in real time during the show. Madonna came out and made a speech acknowledging his victory and the audience turned up like nothing I'd seen before afterward. She and the whole crew did the final numbers in Obama "HOPE" t-shirts. It was wild... Simpler, times.
Madonna always likes to play her new music and rarely does older songs, she does, but not a lot. Except for her last tour, which was a celebration of her catalogue, but even then she didn't do a full greatest hits. Would be great though! She picks her songs that fits best in the story she wants to tell. I must say, this was not my favorite tour, although a few highlights! And yes, Like a prayer was one of them, to be there in the audience in front of the stage was so energetic, it was amazing and I felt exhausted after.
Saw this concert live in Paris. Hard Candy is one my least favourite Madonna albums, but this tour was awesome. Best closing of any concert I’ve ever been to, the energy was unreal!
I truly do love Madonna for all she has accomplished! By the way, have you taken the opportunity to purchase tickets for Janet’s tour?? It’s the first time performing the uk in a long time I don’t know when she’ll be back. I just read a review from a UK publication: “For someone five decades into their career, Janet, 58, performed with the vigour of someone more than half her age. Her catalogue of hits is positively overwhelming with even her oldest songs, standing the test of time…”
I've been on the fence about this for ages, but she's playing manchester tonight and I just got a ticket after reading your message! Right down the front, row 6, can't f*cking wait!
@@bridgethegapreactions I’m so glad you did and he will NOT regret it. Even though it’s a great tour anyway, she’s known for being able to perform stripped down with only a couple dancers behind her and still captivate the audience. She used to have the budget to put on high spectacle tours like Madonna and Michael. But after she was blacklisted during the Super Bowl, her career never bounced back to the level it was. So she always has to negotiate with putting on a high-quality entertaining show within budget . She genuinely and authentically connects with her in the crowd in a way that I’ve never seen before. You might wanna do some reacting in the meantime so you will know some of the songs. Or at least the ones on the set list. Her catalog of hits is massive, and somehow she always squeezes them in seamlessly! Apparently she’s also performing songs that were hits in the UK that weren’t necessarily hits everywhere else for the crowd! Besides, how cool is it to be in the same room watching one of the most famous members of music’s first family perform!
My first Madonna concert. She was impressive so was the show! the last one in 2023 was good but she cannot dance as before. I dont blame her, she cannot keep up with everything.
I agree with you with Spanish Lesson but this La Isla Bonita version i absolutely love.... And also there seems to be an underlying theme of time running out..from 4 minutes ..to Hung up...time goes by ..
This was a disappointing tour after Confessions. I saw it from the front row. Tacky visuals and costumes. It didn't help it was to support an AWFUL album. Her voice was VERY rough too (hence the heavy overdubbing here). But mostly I disliked it because it had no depth or story. And that Candy Shop intro video looks like something from American Idol. Her dancing is good though.
I was there, 80 thousand souls dancing, singing, crying, witnessing the Greatest Female Entertainer in music history! The best night of my life!

It was simply incredible live.
At least here in Brazil...THE crowd was wild. THE energy of Madonna + brazilians...was something out of this world
Eu estava no primeiro show no Rio, mas a chuva não deu trégua e acabou atrapalhando o espetáculo. 🥺🥺
Coming in your face 😂😂😂😂😂..seriously tho...Madonna is unmatched. Untouchable on stage. Amazing live performer. ❤

It is her best, financially... 🤑

November 2024 All five ladies present and sounding great! Linda is my favourite but that's because I'm biased -- she is a fantastic singer
Hello, of this tour there was a second part with substitutions of some songs such as Bordeline Heartbeat etc. Dress Up, Holiday with a tribute to Michael Jackson who died at that time and Frozen were included
This is also the first tour where Madonna invited other singers to sing the songs together such as Britney, Pharell, Justin and Timbaland

Oh my bad! 😂😂 I always thought they did the tour too! *sits back down*
When I saw her for the first time live
Stunning
Unforgettable
Her sugar is raw
It really is.
Teve show no Rio de Janeiro e em São Paulo, mas verdade seja dita, a plateia de Buenos Aires deu um show a parte!
This was her guitar era....and she did amazing!! More dance more energy ....amazing!!!!❤🎉

Hi Jhonny, looking forward to watching your reaction to Kylies new lead single "Lights, Camera, Action". Thank you 🎉
I don’t think anyone could have guessed that Miles Away would be a huge highlight but it was like this in every country the show went to.
Haha. I think pretty much everyone loved the Like A Prayer / Meck mash up.
The Pantera / Hung Up one however… 👀👀👀🙈
(I actually loved it!)
React kylie minogue german bold italic ❤

It was SO GOOD. Worth every penny - I ended up on the second row. The closing half hour was especially mind-blowing. I love that she included Scream!
“Last night I dreamt of San Pedro”
“Always happy to hear this”
That’ll change Johnny 😂😂😂
Don't worry dear Johnny, no one loves Spanish lesson 😂❤❤❤ but we enjoy it just because her performance

As versões de vídeos feitas por fãs com celular são muito mais realistas naturais e impactantes que os DVDs da Madonna 😂
Some are actually good though
Timber-ocean 😅 That is all.
i saw this show at Petco Park in San Diego on election day 2008 she told me obama won
I really don’t like the editing of this tour dvd it didn’t even sound an ounce of the real nights these were filmed
Agreed on that - you can barely hear the audience and it really kills the atmosphere, which looks like it was awesome

Pienso lo mismo,es una de sus giras más débiles ya que es buena pero si decepcionó un poco
