as a sub 9 solver, i think that these solve are exactly what everyone should strive for if they want to be sub 10 because it is nice and simple 11:13. I see a lot of people do "advanced F2L" by using a lot of wierd algs with wide moves and slices to save a rotation but I honestly hate those. Great video!
Sub 9 bro let's gooo that's awesome! I'm with your there... Doing those wide moves and slices just to avoid rotating is bad vs just rotating to solve the case in the back 😂 But they're still pretty cool tricks to know. Thank you!
Excellent work. A 51-yo UK cuber here (first solved in 1980), I've learnt all of the basic F2L cases, 2-look OLL and full PLL. My major problem is F2L, in my head it's taking me 10 seconds but in reality it's taking 30. As soon as something "advanced" comes up I freeze :). It's still mind-boggling to me how fast your TPS is compared to mine for the same algs. I can definitely see progress though! Aiming for sub-30 and potentially (in my dreams sub-20) if life stops getting in the way. One thing I can't be bothered to do is learn full OLL or learn more than one alg per PLL, I'll stick with U/U-/U2 :)
@@DrJohnners That is so awesome sir, your comment made me smile 😃 Love to hear about your progress as you get faster and at the end of the solve, it really is all about efficiency, not turn speed. I'm convinced you've got your goal of sub 20 💪 Sub 20 is super achievable with good efficiency, you literally only need 2-3 turns per second on average to achieve it 😁
I'm 45 and struggling around the 20-25 second mark. Once you get a little more experienced in F2L it really helps the times, I'm a super slow turner but even at 2-3tps F2L can be done in no time. I actually find it really fun doing OLL, there are a lots of very easy groups like T and Square. There is about 15 that are easy to learn that are worth incorporating if you can.
@@Godmil Spot on, with 3-4 turns per second, it is also possible to get sub 10 solves with brutal efficiency - Jperm has a video about that one. All the best for your journey too sir! 🙏
Thank you so much! 😄 Absolutely, will make a cross+1 tutorial sometime in the future. It will definitely be coming, it's just a matter of when 😂 Keep an eye out on the horizon for it!
Awesome video! Love your efficient style of solving that never gets more complicated than necessary, exactly what I'm looking for myself. Maybe consider doing another one of these example solve videos in the future if you find the time.
Thank you for the comment! And yeah, for sure, I'd be more than happy to make this kind of video again in the future! Might be a bit harder as I've begun full time work (which I'll announce in a soon coming video explaining why I haven't made the Aussie Nats vlog yet), but I'd be down to do that!
At 7:30 I messed up 🤣 But shortly after that I did solve 2 pairs super quickly. I'll let you in on a secret though - it wasn't fancy. It was the basic F2L solutions for the first pair (blue orange) and then the second pair (blue red). I just knew how the pieces would end up on the cube which is why I was able to spam TPS
Hey! Thank you so much, I'm so glad that I was able to help you out! Yes absolutely I'm more than happy to do a Cross+1 tutorial 👍😁 Keep an eye out for that video on the horizon, I will do it, it's just a matter of when 😂
Hey there! Actually, that's a super easy question to answer. I suck at lubing and setting up cubes, so I pretty much never touch them when I get them out of the box. That's the Gan 12 UV coated Maglev, and it's totally box tensions/settings/lube.
Cross plus one
Done and dusted! 😁ruclips.net/video/Cqs415kWxBM/видео.html
If you improve your current editing style and add some better lighting, you'll make an amazing channel to keep up the work, man
Thank you! 😄 I did a Certificate III and IV in Screen and Media and lighting was always my weak point! 🤣
