I hope this comment gets recognized, honestly. The work taking place on the back of the Volkswagen is bad ass! And your wife and you are doing a great job on sending it out to the populous, love to watch you! The new mics rock! But I was happy with the old ones. I'm old school. I'm 57 year old fabricator that refuses to buy materials and have been following you since days before. I have one small favor to ask and that is please put some kind of old-school skidder on the backside of those rear fender skirts, something that's close to the road needs a little bit of a skidder in case of a snag. Not sure if I worded that properly but you've done a lot of work to get to this point and everything looks wonderful. just a little skidder on the backside of each rear tire on the outer and inner part of the fenders that wrap behind the tire. I always guard my work and I believe you should too. You will do great either way!
Hello Jamie and Ian nice surprise seeing you guys on its morning here in North east Texas have a good weekend end love Ian vision on cars love the dogs too❤
@@GregoryBamber for sure he's going to shorten them, I would be about 3 inches off the ground myself, just something of like a spooned edging at the very bottom, I'm sure whatever he comes up with is gonna look great.
WOW Ian just saw a very old episode of Monster Nation with you driving some sort of flip cart, it was circular in shape was totally incased in a rollbar . It looked a a freaking awesome ride where you could just flip and roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lost my girl pup in January and 1 of my boy puppies on Black Friday. Me a and the youngest boy are still confused. I work alone in the shop so it’s nice to have them around. That’s why I love seeing your babies.
Definitely nice seeing the dogs in the shop, and sorry Jamie you can definitely tell those dogs are Ian’s, they love being where he is. And I’m digging the roll pan, look on the back and I’m looking forward to how you’re going to tie that all together, and it’s funny I follow another two guys on RUclips that work exclusively on rescuing VW’s and today is the first day I’d heard about the cylinders being offset, I’ve never worked on bugs before so I didn’t really think about it and until Ian showed the exhaust manifolds being offset to a degree I wouldn’t have on this project either, but it totally made sense, and I was today’s years old when I learned that fact
When you started fabricating this rear section of the car it of reminding me of the chaparral can am cars this looks so cool kind of throwback of 60’s and 70’s racing it’s going to be TO SWEEEEEEET awesome build
Love having the dogs with y'all was awesome. My fur baby goes nuts when I lay on a creeper.. Me thinks something is wrong. Then I get to laughing and forget about what I was doing. Thanks for sharing with us.
Your fur babies are too cute. I have two staffies, same story. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT. That rear end is looking interesting. Thank you for sharing...from South AFRICA
Nice idea with the roll pan , and the pulley cut out , its like when you see a super charger spin up , kind of thing 😉👍.... Nice to see the shop inspectors doing there thing , Lil was taking a good interest 😀
What an Absolute transformation on the rear. When you first did the flare fenders,I got so used to seeing the back tires. Like a lot of VW builds, that’s pretty common and looks good. But covering it all in, just took it to another level!! 👌🏻!! Good stuff!
It's been awhile since I watched your show , like the work you do , you should get a hyd tubing bender much faster and easier too . Try a thread file to fix the pulley or bolt threads they come in handy. I'm surprised you don't use a frame table so you don't have to bend down as far . Keep it going 👍
This is hilarious! Definitely needed this weekend. I'm glad the shop inspectors found time in their busy schedule to visit and make sure Ian isn't slacking off on the builds. Definitely never feel like you have to edit them out, although I can see how having them all there is definitely distracting for you both when you're trying to accomplish something. Have a great week, you 5! -Jeff
Maybe some diffuser ribs coming up from the bottom!? And maybe a curve following the fender curve going up to the top in the centre. This format is so much fun! Love your work.
I love all your builds but this by far is my favourite build to date. The heart eyes are awesome, from front to back side to side it's like no VW before but looks so VW I love it. New mics rock and you two as always are an amazing team. Love it all
LOOKIN' GOOD! Ian, I was diggin' the tune you added to the video not that I don't enjoy most of Jamie's ones. Happy Holidays and keep up the awesome work.
Be cool if the pulley had a faux turbine wheel and a bullet center to cover the bolt. I hope I live long enough to see this more done. Poor Ian wouldn't get anything done if he had to deal with 3 shop inspectors the whole time. All the best and Merry Christmas you crazy kids
Just amazes me all the things Ian knows, the casting being interesting and now I am going to have to investigate further. But I see the doggies are double checking to be sure you are doing things right to their specs! 😂 Nothing escapes them! Not even progress!
Digging the work. Hate to say it , but like the slower approach better than the tv approach. Tv does not do quality work justice. This slow roll ,is what it's all about. You are a wizard sir. I truly enjoy your work
ONE WORD!!!! Excellent. I say again Ian Roussel master fabricator. Hi Jaime Hey Ian, more magic, this thing is WOW! Gonna look gr8. Cheers love this beast
The square tube at the top of the roll pan you added the bent part to match the exhaust. A radius in the opposite direction and if there is room between the tire and rear of the fender could provide structure to support the back half of the fender
Long time viewer first time comment …. I generally don’t post cause I learned early on to wait till your done . Had a weird thought. When you get your depth set from the rear pulley build something over the back of the pulley with lLED’s spinning sticking out or something .
Glad you have the shop inspectors with you today, fun times
It is so much to watch the two of you being relaxed and having fun!
The best part of your builds for me is not really knowing where you're going, but watching how you get there 😮 love your dogs ❤
Multiple shop inspectors make for awesome inspiration and perfect work... Plus, they're beautiful...

Bill, Ian is going to cut the bottom of the rear fenders off once he gets the centre section worked out.
I could not picture where you were going with the fenders but that’s looks really good to me, but what do I know. I just follow along.
Hello Jamie and Ian nice surprise seeing you guys on its morning here in North east Texas have a good weekend end love Ian vision on cars love the dogs too❤

I believe he mentioned matching the running board height with the fenders , but like the rest of this build, all things subject to change.
I'm glad to see the shop inspectors ❤ pity it was only a brief visit.
Too much grinding and welding… not ideal for them. They loved being there and in the warm cozy office ♥️
WOW Ian just saw a very old episode of Monster Nation with you driving some sort of flip cart, it was circular in shape was totally incased in a rollbar . It looked a a freaking awesome ride where you could just flip and roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Bumper Bubble!!!! I designed it!
I really enjoy this creativity around a VW. The roll pan reminds me of that for a early 60's VW Bus. Very kool build.
Love those doggos!! Seeing Lil makes me miss Dude.
Us too 😞
johnrexford2800 I remember when Dude first showed up as a puppy. Seems like a life time ago, but then it seems like it was just yesterday.

It's really becoming my favorite build. So cool
Love seeing the doggos! (and more progress on that crazy bug thingy)
Thanks for showing us the shop foremans really missed those who are running the show 🤣Looks like it's really coming together
The VW Radical Custom is going to be a huge hit. So unique. Congrats Ian
Brings back memories of the OG shop inspectors 😊💫🤙
❤ Those pups are special! Don't ever edit them out Jamie. Ian has fantastique creative juices flowing lately! 💥💯
This is looking awesome. I like ve the way your pups love their daddy working so hard
wow that looks really sporty ,cant wait to see more now.. love the doggies affection , and loved Jamies input and precise video . 5 star ppl .love it
Love having the dogs with y'all was awesome.
My fur baby goes nuts when I lay on a creeper..
Me thinks something is wrong. Then I get to laughing and forget about what I was doing.
Thanks for sharing with us.
Herbie the goes Can Am racing! Love it! As crasy a sthe dogs go for him says a lot about Ian as a person 😊👍🙏🙏
Diggin it! Some louvers in the back would be sweet.
parabéns meu irmão, gratidão por mi inspirar, em novos conceitos da fabricação artesanal 🙏
That VW is my favorite build you're doing right now. Those dogs are great as well.
Really like the new/back to the
original format.
Those windows look like eyes, the rear fenders and lower motor cover mods make it look menacing. Bad ass!
at one point Darth Vader mask was mentioned.
The backend end reminds of the Le Mans Hyper race cars.
I can never understand what you're doing but am always amazed the results.Indeed you are a mad scientist of the first order.
never apologize for love from the wuppers. This video made my heart happy
Your fur babies are too cute. I have two staffies, same story. HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE THAT. That rear end is looking interesting. Thank you for sharing...from South AFRICA
just love the work respect the work as it unfolds and seeing you create
Nice idea with the roll pan , and the pulley cut out , its like when you see a super charger spin up , kind of thing 😉👍.... Nice to see the shop inspectors doing there thing , Lil was taking a good interest 😀
The inspectors did their job. They kept the Ian alpha dog in line 🐶🐕🐶 👍👍👍
I don’t know why but I like watching you work on the bug than the other projects. It just keep morphing.
I've been watching a fairly long time now. For me, this is one of the most interesting fabrication channels on YT.
Your end result always humbles my scepticism, never disappoints 👌
Aww she was just inspecting that pulley, noticed it was missing the bolt, and was trying to let you know

Never a dull video Ian always has an evolving design that keeps me off balance. Thanks
Great job coming along excellent, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones

I'm really impressed with that CAN-AM tail you've created there. You've got the eye!!
I so glad I found you. I haven’t see much of you since custom … I love all your VW work!! Air cooled for life!!
I really like what you’re doing with the back of the car. Definitely think a spoiler across it will look really great.
This is hilarious! Definitely needed this weekend.

Lovely to see the shop inspectors today. Great video, great project
I love the look of the vw
Shop inspector excellent 😊
Ian, Your skill set is out of this world, you are one amazing guy.
Maybe some diffuser ribs coming up from the bottom!? And maybe a curve following the fender curve going up to the top in the centre. This format is so much fun! Love your work.
What a great video, Ian, Jammie and the pups.
I like your paws fan club. Great work /project
I love all your builds but this by far is my favourite build to date. The heart eyes are awesome, from front to back side to side it's like no VW before but looks so VW I love it. New mics rock and you two as always are an amazing team. Love it all
Great build but I am glad to see the white bullterrier. Plus the other two dogs I haven't seen for.
LOOKIN' GOOD! Ian, I was diggin' the tune you added to the video not that I don't enjoy most of Jamie's ones. Happy Holidays and keep up the awesome work.
I love your dogs. I did on your TV show.
Lovin it from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦 ....lov the dogs

It's fun watching a genius at work, the back of the car is simply impressive. 👌 👍👍👍👍👍
Great show love when the inspectors visit ,good work behind and front of camera
It will be interesting to see how you fill the gap between the roll pan and fenders, I'll stay tuned for more of "The Tough Love Bug".
I love the dogs on the show
I’m liking the rear better than even SJ 2.0. Nice work Ian 🫡
Love the dogs..lucky you can take them to work
Got to be able chaing belt someone probably mentioned that 😊
You meant changing the belt right?
Yup
Looking great and waiting to see you working on it again.
I also have three dogs I love that they are there lol
They are the best ♥️
@@fullcustomIan I have two cats
We love cats! Have three of them!
Yes the vision is strong g in this one ... 💪 👽 👍
👽
👽🖖
I love it..can't wait to see it completely finished
ONE WORD!!!! Excellent. I say again Ian Roussel master fabricator. Hi Jaime Hey Ian, more magic, this thing is WOW! Gonna look gr8. Cheers love this beast
I really like where your going with this. Thanks guys😊
The rear fender mod is great! The puppers too.
Really like what your doing with the back of that bug. Very different for sure.
Like watching ya create automotive art!
Maybe take the ends of rolled pan, and fallow the 1 inch tube toward fenders?
Mark
love the music you’ve been choosing. And the editing. Keep up the great work
Always good to see the dogs. I known they can get in the way.
The square tube at the top of the roll pan you added the bent part to match the exhaust. A radius in the opposite direction and if there is room between the tire and rear of the fender could provide structure to support the back half of the fender
That makes it look way faster than it is 👌
I absolutely love what you are doing with the rear end.
Great job Ian and Jammie. It's going to look great 🇿🇦
I like that tubing bender. I just got some conduit benders, like ive seen you use, and I hope to make more bends, and a lot less welding
That sure makes the rear look good. Nice design.
The shop inspectors keep checking your work 😆
It’s really fun seeing the puppies!
I loved seeing the dogs. Every once in a while I would see a tail wagging on the edge of the video.
Beautiful dogs ❤ the back of the VW is getting great. Nice Job!
Definitely outta 'HIS' world. Awesome looking bug.
Thanks for sharing and taking us along
I like it when the workshop inspectors are around so the work comes out excellent ha ha ha
Love the Keystone Cops music Jamie, lol.
Wow , I’m truly enjoying your vision , Ian ! I saw something similar on an old English ( I believe) maybe German ? Sports car . Very cool !
Love your voice and yours and Ian’s dialogue
The dog content we needed!
I had a beagle that was always in my way in the garage, now he's gone and it's hard to get any work done without him.
The starlux car is gorgeous, Ian is a master
Wasnt sure on the fenders but now the back is coming together its looking good
Long time viewer first time comment …. I generally don’t post cause I learned early on to wait till your done .
Had a weird thought. When you get your depth set from the rear pulley build something over the back of the pulley with lLED’s spinning sticking out or something .
Love it i can't wait to see the issues of changing tyres and having an air cooled motor addressed
