I am from Israel. Our Air Force has been operating the Phantom with great success for many years but unfortunately quality photographs like this movie were not his strong side I thank you for the opportunity to see this amazing and beautiful aircraft in HD - clear and powerful
The F-4, one of my favorite jets, if not THE favorite. I grew up in an air force base in the late 70's to mid 80's that still had those. I used to visit the squadrons there on a daily basis.
Ronen Magid Hi, I have a question if that's okay with you? It was a USAF base right? What color scheme were the phantoms painted in during the mid-80s (1984 in particular), if you remember? I'm asking for personal research.
@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 I'm sure this way too late to be any help, but........ My first duty assignment was George AFB, Ca. on F-4s in June 1970. Then it was Phu Cat, RVN, Udorn, Thailand, Holloman AFB, NM, RAF Alconbury, England until Dec. 1978. After that, one more time on F-4s in Osan, Korea from Apr 1983 to Apr 1984. In every case, they always had the same paint scheme as in this video. Note - There was a time when the Thunderbirds Phantoms had the camo paint, but then went to white with red and blue accents.
This video is wonderful, really amazing flight, since my youth when i saw the first german F-4F Phantom at Ahlhorn AFB, Germany, in 1974, i love this aircraft so much, its my favourite. I got tears in my eyes when they fly out in june 2013 at Wittmund AFB, Germany. Phaboulous Phantom phore ever
OMG. That was amazing. I felt like I was up there without! I have always liked the shape of this jet and have only flown once in my life. It was on a 467 which was mind blowing for me. Thank you so much for the video! ! !
I'd like to see these birds kick it into full throttle and rock and roll...60 years old and can still keep up with modern day fighters..hate to see these platforms retired ...they are priceless to many of us. IMHO
Freaking predators. There are some scary craft out there. Thunderbolt II's, Apaches, Spirits, the list goes on. Nothing is nightmarishly beautiful as the Phantom was.
One of the Pilots is Wayne Brauch flying in the F4 as you watch the video Lee Behel fly's up an above Wayne's aircraft in his own personal recreational aircraft.. I miss you Lee. God Bless..
Very sad how the F4s are just fading away. It seems like F15s are not far behind. The T33 amazes me. Now few in number, that ancient jet will just go on and on.
44492611 All jets could go on and on in private hands. The T-33 was lucky enough to have a fair amount of them end up with Airshow pilots. The F-4, F-14, F-15 and a few others who have either recently been retired or have yet to be soon have not been so lucky because of how complicated it is to get these aircraft into private hands nowadays
holy crap there were F4's still flying...? well hell may as well keep 'em flying. no i didn't say a whole squadron just these 2. oh and add back 2 Tomcats please, thank you.
I know your comment was written a long time ago, but F-14s were not flown like this because they were not used as target drones, like these 2 beautiful planes. See the orange on the horizontal tails? That and their unit ID shows that they were destined to be blown out of the sky to train new pilots. Because it was not their time yet, the Air Force allowed them to be used for publicity and promotion. The F-14 would have been more complicated and more expensive to fly, there were fewer of them, and the government ordered them to be destroyed so that no parts could ever find their way to Iran. Yes, there are some in museums, too.

the phantom is like the lamborghini countach of jets - timeless and *bad-ass!*
For me Phantom is more comparable to awesome Vector W8! After all, these are two American constructions! ❤️🇺🇸☠️❤️🇺🇸☠️❤️🇺🇸☠️
What's the word I'm looking for...
Oh yeah that is it. JEALOUS!
The F4 is still the meanest looking jet and remains the muscle jet that packs power. If I only could have been a pilot that’s the one I’d fly.
My dream planes; Mustang D, F86, and F4... there's something about these old planes that just fascinate the heck out of me, like crazy.
I'd like to see these birds kick it into full throttle and rock and roll...60 years old and can still keep up with modern day fighters..hate to see these platforms retired ...they are priceless to many of us. IMHO
The Grand Canyon from the air is awesome. And inspiring flying. Thank you.
That's wonderful takeoff and amazing fly...so wonderful.... phantom is my favorite jet..... good luck Capitan.... enjoy your fly......
Another #1.. memories for a life time.

A M A Z I N G!! I would LOVE to see more videos like this one!!

I shall truly miss the F4.
I LOOOOVE IT, I'm going to the Grand Canyon in September.
These are F-4E's. Worked on the radar. Danang Apr 1969-Apr 1970. Gunfighter

I don't even want to think about the operating cost of this plane. Glad these guys are millionaires and I can live vicariously through their videos!
These are Air Force birds
An American third bread flying across the heart of America what a sight. I just wish in the second seat.😊

I was in the T-33 taking photos

I understand their still making and selling new F- 15's
@@terrycunningham3010 yeah Boeing is retro fitting them with newer tech and weaponry
One thing we in America does very good is make the best and sharpest looking jets in the world.
I once processed the film from RF4C when I was with the 160th TRG.
Fantastic vid !! ✌
I love the phantom. I wish I had been a fighter pilot.
Absolutely killer video. You see these awesome machines taking off. Somebody 's ass is kicked. 👍🏽
An American Thoroughbred flying through the Heart of America I just wish I was sitting in the second seat.
I assume they took off from Nellis AFB in LV
F-4 king of fighters!
WOW THEY HAVE AN P80 SHOOTING STAR
It sounds like a steam-powered Phantom. Only needs the whistle :D
for the first 2 seconds, did anyone else think _"the simpsons"_?
no
No
No
Just imagine what 35,000 lbs of thrust feels like in the F-4 Phantom! ...
holy crap there were F4's still flying...? well hell may as well keep 'em flying. no i didn't say a whole squadron just these 2. oh and add back 2 Tomcats please, thank you.
add one x-15 and one sr-71. oh, and one concorde!
_pretty_ please on that last one.
oh that's right, the Concorde... (drool)
six or eight F4’s please.
-makes a better looking formation 😁
Well, the one on the right clearly on the 1/4 mile drag race......
Beautiful video, too bad the pilot couldn't look left on take off, would of seen me standing at the speedway taking pictures of this departure :)
The American Dream
Was the other plane an F-80 shooting star? And what is the function of flying in formation if you can't watch your instruments?
T-33. Two seat trainer version of the F-80.
So why dont they fly f14s like this anymore
I know your comment was written a long time ago, but F-14s were not flown like this because they were not used as target drones, like these 2 beautiful planes. See the orange on the horizontal tails? F4's are so 100% B.A !!. ... Like Hueys !!
Snake Eyes
Why don't you look forward?
Whenever you're flying formation, it is important to keep your eyes on the lead.
Seems pretty obvious - he's trying not to plow into his buddy.
