One day I'm gonna fly over from the US just to come and watch. Amazing shots! For me, the newer "low observable" shapes and coatings make the F35 better looking...but still not as slick as the F22. But 50 yrs of service from the F15 is amazing.
I've missed this terrain flying action ever since AFB Plattsburgh was deactivated. It wasn't as busy as the Loop but cresting a hill and meeting a four element flight of A-10s in trail cresting the same hill from the opposite direction was always a treat. This is good stuff, thanks for sharing!
How could anybody not love that video. Those are some amazing photos and then last the helo coming and guys waving at you. That is cool! Thanks for the description of each plane flying.
Glad you enjoyed it ☺️
Thank you .
This is the most beautiful valley made all the better by fast jets and other traffick.
Thank you for your effort in bringing this to us, I can't get there nearly enough times in one year, this bridges the gap.
THANK YOU 😊
As a former Fighter Pilot, I love these shots but I have to admit, the Hercs were just beautiful to watch
WOW!!
Some of the best footage I've seen in a long time Elwyn!! Absolutely fantastic! Especially @ 3m 41s ... That exit shot and those vortice trails... never seen anything THAT good ever! They looked like a firework display! Amazing! And not forgetting the Reaper Farewell exit too! Proper jockey's that lot! 🤘🤘
Thanks for sharing mate!!
Your welcome Tom 😊
Watching this video makes you feel like i hope Airwolf comes howling by…. Great footage and pictures taken.
Cheers 👌
When i was young my step dad was stationed at moffet field and he often got to show me around up close to many aircraft.i thank him for planting that seed. Growing up it was the f4 phantom that was my favorite. But whats really beautiful and my new favorite is the f22.
Brilliant ...use to love watching the 15s coming back in when playing golf there...happy days
Loved the friendship gesture of the Welsh Flag ! What a legend.
They are beautiful devices and beautiful images. From a Brazilian admirer.
Thank you cheers 👌
Wow - those four Hercules! I've never seen more than two at once and never from above them!
Cracking stuff! Good lad putting the Welsh flag in the cockpit.
Hugely enjoyable to watch.
Thanks ☺️
Love them all, but seeing the big lumbering cargo planes, C-130s I think, that’s just super cool 😎
3:43 If this was a film, you'd think those ribbons had been added via CGI instead of being perfectly natural.
Love the Welsh flag over the dash. Nice touch, Mr Pilot!
Fantastic and awe-inspiring footage!
The planes & helicopters were cool, too!
I can just imagine how amazing it should be to see that!
Wonderful views and so nicely filmed 👍
Love from France 🇫🇷
Thank you very much!
@@ElwynR can't wait to see the next one with our french Mirage or Rafale 😁
Thank you for sharing this amazing flying. Wow, unreal. 🇿🇦❤️
Seen the F-15s fly over Norfolk Uk so many times, don’t need to look up to the skies to know it is one! Beautiful airplane but the F-35 looks great too, what a fantastic spot to take photos and footage,on a patriotic note the Typhoon is a super aircraft too.
Love your work, really appreciate these videos. And as for favorite, I have a soft spot for the F-15, I can only hope the F-35's grow into the standards that the older fighter set.
Thanks David, yes I totally agree
Those shots are just incredible 😍 I'm loving the F35 in Microsoft Flight Simulator lol
That day in January with the F15C’s and D’s with the F35’s was an epic day. Then the SJ’s turned up. So glad you were on east filming it. I was on west photographing it. Awesome vid as always .
It was an epic day 👌!! not many days like that anymore in the loop 🙁
1st timer here :) That was Awesome!! TY so much for those Stunning Visuals. I really dig the Still Images too. 👍👍
Pleasure is all mine and thanks for watching 👌
lovely to see they took the time to put a welch flag in the cockpit ,shows they really appreciate your photos
I love your content, and a group of us are planning a 2023 visit to the loop. I would love to know what gear and basic settings such as average shutter speed you are using to get such great shots?
It all depends on the weather on the day really but I use a Nikon D850 300m f2.8 for the photos
@@ElwynR Many thanks, that's a nice fast lens, unfortunately at that reach my 100-400 tops out at f6.3! I'm guessing you are shooting in the +1/1000 range?
@@PropPlanePat yes I do but when you get a prop plane you drop the shutter down 250-350 so you get a bit of blur on the props
@@ElwynR Thanks thats a fantastic tip!
My time at P&W was not wasted! F35 is agile, fast and stealthy. Beautiful!
@@phillipbanes5484 Swap outs work on 67 Camaros but the F 35 would need to be retooled. Faster? Maybe.
G’day,
Thank you for sharing these great videos and fantastic photographic captures.
I live in Sydney Australia and one of my top “Bucket List” areas to visit is definitely the Mach Loop.
Take care and please keep sharing!
Kindest Regards,
Ray from Sydney Australia
Cheers Ray, thanks for watching 👌
It says a lot when other countries choose to fly American aircraft !! Fantastic pics ! I would love to go see them flying the loop !!
Really cool shots.I live in Bermo and enjoy seeing these aircraft coming past low level(yes I know they were going down Tal-Y-LLyn on this one)lI am sure that at one time they were using either the bridge or the point in the Harbour as a' target'.Sitting outside the 'Locker' and hearing the aircraft turning up the heat and going vertical when they 'drop their load' had the cups rattling on their saucers-brilliant. Subscribed. Diolch.
Thanks a lot! 👌
Fantastic footage, love the F-15. Clear, sharp visuals. Those 4 Hercs together was awesome. Happy Holidays 😀😀👌
Yes the four Hercs was my best 2022 moment 👌
It's so crazy to me that humans can build such beautiful machines.
Easy when you have unlimited funds.
@@edwelndiobel1567 I don't think so. Even 100 years ago, all the money in the world couldn't do it.
Those wing tip vortices show how beautiful mother nature can react to a marvellous piece of engineering. 🙂
F 15s flying into the setting sun. Great shot
Fantastic video and images! I'd love to see more of these amazing jets and aircraft for myself on the loop but I always seem to miss them! Wouldn't mind a radio either to listen in! Lol great stuff!
Mega gorgeous shots!! F15 my favorite!
VERY cool shots! I know this may sound a bit odd, but the C130s are my favorites🤩 love watching them fly low and slow :)
My favorite as well. They fly over my house often in groups. I have a close friend that is a crews them.
My dad was in the RAF. We were stationed at RAF Lyneham. I’d got a job and moved away. They’d had an open day there. My mum, dad and younger brother got to fly in a Hercules with the back open. I was absolutely gutted to have missed this. 😢😢
Fantastic pictures! Thank you for the high quality of these scenic views!
Our pleasure!
Loved the shots of the 4 Hercs.
Me and some mates were at Back Bowden in Northumbria and saw a procession of Hercs fly right along the ridgeline - breathtaking!
Cool 👌
The Welsh flag? Class!
Fantastic footage Elwyn especially that spluff at 3:45 it's absolutely 👌👌 against that sky, top draw.
You've had a fantastic year looking at this video, the passing of the batten from the F15's to the F35's and those 4 Hercules just to mention a couple 👌👏👏✈️🇺🇲🏴
Here's to a fantastic 2023 👍🍺 have a good New Year Elwyn.
ATB Andy
Absolutely, Had a good first half to the year but a bit slow the second half!! but I wont complain 😊 Happy New Year Andy and will see you up on a Hill soon 👍
Amaizing footages and photos 👍We was flying the C130 (Hercules) in patrol of 4 during my time in the Belgian army and boy was fun especialy landing them one after the other (à la queue leu leu) on the same strip 🤙Not sure it's allowed anymore but no much health and safety rules during my time in the 90ies 😂
The good Old days are always the best 👌
So cool! I see this all the time. I live 2 miles from Dover DE airbase but these pictures 🎉🎉🎉 are super awesome! Thank u
Glad you liked it!
Some masterful filming there. Thanks for sharing. At 2:58, was that a Welsh flag in the cockpit? Nice touch if it was. The four Hercs in trail was quite an experience and I loved the waves from the Merlin crew. All the best from chilly Scotland and good luck in 2023.
Yes it was the Welsh flag 👌 Happy New Year from a damp and wet Wales 😊
Don't get me wrong, I love the A400's, but there is nothing sexier than the C130 Hercs.
Incredible footage and the stills! OMG the stills are fantastic!!! How much prep and how long do you stay on sight? I'm very envious :-)
I'll sit up there all day sometimes but also we follow radar to see what aircraft is about
one of the best I've seen so far. The still's are so clear!!! I've only been once so far and it was a very cold December, after 2 days I was treated to around 8 passes of F-35's and it was life changing. really cant wate til I can go again!!!
Love these vids , bet it was cold that day with the snow on the tops . Have to get down there this year and see for myself , love flying . Keep doing what you love doing . G
Really a great year. There are those with talent, and some with passion. You have both, and I think it easy to say that your videos are standouts - they just are.
During a coffee break, I see your video's pop up, and I simple go full screen on my larger 2nd monitor and enjoy the show.
thank you kindly for all the great efforts and anastatic footage you shared this year. Easy they are 2nd to none.
And favorite? Well, golly, yes, the F35 has grown on me.
Again, please have a great new year, and all the best in the coming year.
Kind words thanks! The F-35 in great light 👌 what will 2023 bring ? cant wait 😊 Happy New Year 👍
I admit the Eagle vortices was very cool, but the four-flight of Hercs was amazing
I thought the thumbnail was photoshopped but I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't! 🙂
