Love it Lee! I was transfixed. Glorious shots dude!!! I enjoyed your use of background music. Please have a listen to the “Rocksteady” instrumentals; I think one or more might be a fit 🙏
Ahhh so...was wondering why you were at 1000 ISO! Will be staying in Poipu and will get out for some sunrises. Did you say a 30 min hike to that location? Mahalo Lee.
Aloha John. Yes, that’s about right. Take your time and in a casual 30 minutes you’ll find it. There are a few other opportunities along the way but this spot is noticeable as it is wide open and flat. I gotta remember to change my settings ! 🤣
I've made the same mistakes, this time last year in Lajolla photographing the Brown Pelicans in breeding plumage, I shot an entire session in jpg forgetting to switch back to raw after photoing some family stuff. @@LeeScott-LightSourceKauai
This Kauai south shore location is a great place for a walk or sunrise session. Have you ever walked on these cliffs? Have you ever photographed here?
Is this part of the Maha’ulepu heritage trail?
Kaua’i sunrises are always soul nourishing!Learning mindset is so crucial in anything we do…mahalo for acknowledging that!
Beginners mind, right!? Sometimes easy to forget but so important to remember!

Happens to the best of us. I’ve shown up to photograph birds at sunrise without a memory card before!
