Just bought a fiesta as my first car and coming across these videos has made my day! Thank you for taking the time to make high quality videos and replying to viewers comments :)
This is the best way to change the fluid on a Fiesta/Fusion. Trying to change it while the engine is running would be difficult to control the flow. Thank you for your video and informative comments.
Hola buenas tengo el 1.4 68cv mismo motor que el tuyo y nose donde esta el tubo de retorno lo puedo hacer por otra parte que no sea por abajo.Gracias nuevo subscriptor 💪
Thank you for this video. I followed it and flushed my 2008 Fiesta. There still seems to a block in it. Is there a filter screen in the reservoir that could get clogged?
You're welcome dear friend. I'don't think there is a filter to be clogged. The amount of fluid drained may give you an idea if it was clogged. If it was clogged all the fluid may not be drained.
I don't want to generalize it can be wrong but for this case that's the conclusion based on my research. (The original spec was superceded and ps fluid based on that spec were no longer available, at least at my side of the world!..)
Thanks for this. Just followed your steps and completed a flush and fill. Used 750ml out of 1000ml fluid in total as i didnt want to risk not having enough left to top up. Power steering made a funny noise on start up but went away after, think it ran dry for a split second
Stumbled on this video due to my endless search. My Fiesta 1.6 tdci pas system is in a different location in the engine bay to the one showing in this video and i believe the 1.6 tdci has partial electric pas too so its a different design. I have been looking everywhere to find video to replace pas fluid for Mk6.5 Fiesta 1.6 tdci pas system but cannot find anywhere at the moment.

Hello handyguy, first of all thank you very much for your tutorials, i want to ask you is the power steering oil and transmission oil is the same? Cause its written on all bottles and in your video. It does better manual change, with gear shifts i mean?
Hello Maxis, thank you for your question. Of course every fluid or oil has specific usage, I've made quite alot research about which fluid to use. The one I'm using in the video has a wide spectrum of applications such as automatic transmission, manual tansmission and power steering systems it also has Ford Mercon standard compatibility, this is the information about the product on open sources and at the label, I'm not guiding anyone to use any product, not taking any responsibility either, everybody has to make their own decision. It is Important that you need to follow your car manufacturers recommendation while making the choice for your car. I hope this helps..!
Thats the same conclusion i've arrived to. I understand what do you mean i decided by myself don't worry, thank you a lot for the information and tutorials!

I have 1.3 Fiesta. My manual says use power steering liquid, wich meets the "WSS-M2C195-A" specification. I used Fuchs Titan ATF 3353, but I think any liquid with "Ford Mercon" specification will do.
I don't understand how to pinpoint exactly which fluid to get with my 2007 fiesta, there's too many terms I'm new to and all of the websites I use to filter the compatible fluids end up conflicting with eachother??

I've been using the atf fluid since the possting date of this video without any problems but it is totally up to you which fluid to choose for your own car. You need to turn the steering wheel several times to left-right limits to flush the old fluid without running the engine which might be very difficult without lifting the car, again it is up to your decision. I'm just showing how I did it in my videos. Wish you good luck dear friend 👍🏻
Hi On the ST, another method is to remove the return line which is located at the top of the reservoir. Is this not possible on this model? I cant see that it has a return line at the top..

Hello dear friend, I don't know the exact price for this job but it is about an hour of workmanship if the mechanic knows what to do and a bottle of fluid, so you may do the calculation, I hope this helps.
Is it normal for the steering to feel heavy? I have the same car and I got the power steering fluid changed before I started driving but it still feels quite heavy. Any advice thanks
My opinion is, It is normal to feel heavy when when manuevering (i.e. parking) while driving as the car speeds up it should feel lighter. An important think is tire pressure, if the front tire pressures are lower than normal it will increase friction with the road and make steering heavier.
Thank you, I have never changed gear box oil myself, as far as I know there is no plug to drain there is a plug you need to syphon the old oil and put the new oil.

Hello. Thank you for the video But I have one question. You start by blocking out one hose, pouring some oil, and rotating the steering wheel. Why is that? Why is one blocked? is that the one that returns the oil? And you do that just to clean the ducts? Tomorow I want to change all the liquids, and this comes very handy. Thank you! Cheers!
To drain the old fluid I am disconnecting the return hose ofthe fluid tank to drain the old fluid. By filling new fluid and turning the steering wheel you force new fluid to push old fluid from steering system to the return hose and to the container for disposal. I plugged the return hose at the fluid tank side to avoid new fluid spilling to ground. OK?
I think it is more important to have it changed if the car is old. Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) is used in the steering system and this fluid need to be changed according to the manufacturers time intervals.
