Carnivore Stuffing Recipe:
To begin…
8 eggs
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Scrambled eggs with seasonings in butter. Cook completely but do not dry out or brown eggs. Add cooked eggs to blender.
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup cream
1/2 cup shredded cheese
2 tsp beef gelatin
3 Tbsp egg white powder
1 tsp poultry seasoning
Add ingredients to blender and blend on low to combine. Turn up to high to liquefy.
2 hotdogs (cleanest you can access)
1/2 tsp baking soda
Add hot dogs in pieces and blend on low to combine, then high to liquefy. Add baking soda and blend on low to combine.
1 tsp white vinegar
Add vinegar and blend on high 5-10 seconds.
Pour this mixture on a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Spread out mixture to roughly 1/2 inch thick. Bake at 350F for 20 minutes or until puffed and beginning to brown. Remove and chop into pieces according to your size preference. Return pieces to oven at 375F for 5-8 minutes to dry out.
2 eggs
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 Tbsp water
Beat well in a bowl to bake a cream custard base. Remove dried chopped bread from oven and add to large bowl. Pour over cream mixture.
Optional: Add 2 Tbsp pork panko or other meat flour
Mix cream base and chopped bread well. Place in a buttered baking dish (10” pie plate recommended) and press down. Optionally add cubes of butter to top of stuffing mixture (2-3 Tbsp total). Finish by baking at 375F for 20-25 minutes or until set and top is beginning to brown.
Cool 3-5 minutes and serve.
For those who are having issues hearing this video, try listening to it through the speakers of your tv, phone, tablet or laptop instead of earbuds. I played it in my kitchen through my phone (on speaker) and had no problems. Im not trying to be rude at all...just trying to help. God bless you all and have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! 🍗🦃
Thank you. Many don’t understand that different speakers play different frequencies at varying levels. Oftentimes it’s their speakers that are the issue. Earbuds are notoriously bad and known for making audio levels seem unbalanced.
@ChrisCookingNashville , you're welcome. Agreed! I'm hearing impaired in one ear, but I heard it just fine with my phone speaker. Hopefully others who are hearing impaired will be able to as well. 😊👍👍
Thank you 😊😊😊
I had no issues either and my ears are terrible! HAHA
😊
I always bake my dressing in a bunt pan and use the middle for cranberry sauce. Looks amazing on the table.
Great idea!
I love this idea!! Thanks for sharing! 🙌🏼
I agree 😁
Our son always wants dressing for Thanksgiving, and as he's developmentally disabled, I don't think I could explain NOT having it because it's not good for us. In the past, I've just bought a box of stuffing/dressing mix for him & my husband to eat. But now that my hubby has discovered how much better he feels eating keto, I'm going to have to make a keto/carnivore dressing this yr! Your recipe is intriguing! With added sage, etc, for the iconic flavor. Thanks, Chris!
Thank you so much! Hope you enjoy. 😊
You are correct...in the bird is stuffing, outside is dressing 🎉
Yes indeed
Love your channel & recipes & the music! The only thing distracting to me is that the music is louder than your soft voice. 😉 I don’t want you to shout you have a well modulated voice, it just gets lost in the amplitude of the music. Keep on cooking Chris!! Love both you & Ash💞
Noted! I’ll see what I can do about that. 😊
Team Stuffing 🙋🏼♀️ This was SO tasty! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone 🦃🍽✨🍁
Glad you enjoyed it 😊❤️
CHRIS JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW THE MUSIC WAS A LITTLE TO LOUD. I HAD TROUBLE HEARING WHAT YOU WERE SAYING. THE MUSIC DROWNED YOUR VOICE OUT. THANK GOODNESS YOU PROVIDED THE RECIPES. THIS SOUNDS INCREDIBLE. CAN'T WAIT TO TRY THIS DRESSING/STUFFING.
Sorry about that. Hope you enjoy.
Your creative carnivore brain and resulting recipes never cease to amaze me. I’m definitely trying this one! Off to buy LOTS more eggs 😉
Haha thank you. Hope you enjoy. 😊
👍 agreed!
😊👍🏼
I will never understand how (or why) your chef brain works! What made you think of that as your secret ingredient & why? What purpose does it serve? So many questions! I love it! I'm trying before the weekend is over, so I'll know I can have stuffing on Turkey Day!😂😂
Haha idk why my brain does that either. I needed something for density and texture and that was my conclusion of how to achieve it. Flavor ended up being great too while experimenting. 😁
I didn’t find the hotdogs strange at all especially after you processed it, and said you could also substitute a pasty deli meat. My Mexican friend always used chorizo or a sage breakfast sausage in her stuffing or dressing. My mother cooked a package of gizzards and then put them through a food grinder to make them pasty. Do you think either of these would work instead of deli meat or hot dogs? Thanks for the recipe!
I’m sure they would! Great tips. Thank you so much. 😊
Similarly my grandma would grind up ham to add to her stuffing, so I can see how hot dogs would work!
Great idea 😊
Here in Ireland we call it Stuffing, but we always add potatoes, onion, sage & mixed herbs and a good amount of butter, salt, and pepper! Happy Thanksgiving to you, Ash, your Mom, and any other family members that you may have! 😊 💚🤍🧡
Yummy! Thank you so much. 😊
Know what I really appreciate about you and your recipes? I love how casual and calm you are!! Your approach is reassuring to those of us non-cooks who want to introduce carnivore foods to our families without having to stress over the recipes. You say to add about this amount but don’t worry about exact amounts. Knowing that there’s a “grace” range really helps my confidence. I’m the “Debra, from Everybody Loves Raymond” cook in the family so most of whatever I make ends up being a one-off!! 😂 I forgot that I’ll need egg white powder, and can’t get the affordable one before Thanksgiving, so I’ll have to wait for Christmas to make these recipes and can’t wait!!
Thanks for all you do and thanks to Ashley for her support in all this, too!! Say Hi! to your mom and all of y’all have a 🦃Happy Thanksgiving!! 🦃
❤❤❤
Thank you so much! I appreciate you being here and supporting us. 😊😊😊❤️
I, for one, love the music in the background. Also you are a kitchen genius!!
I also like background music, But, I am hearing impaired (I use hearing aids) and the music make it hard to hear Chris. Maybe tone the music down a little bit.
Thank you 😊
Just wanted to let you know, I tried your carnivore dressing and mashed potatoes with our Thanksgiving yesterday. They were great! I made my “cornbread” a little finer, and seasoned it according to my grandmother’s recipe. It was a close as I think it could be, but guilt free! Definitely brought back memories. And everybody was amazed about the mashed potatoes.
An interesting discovery I made - if you use your “cornbread” dressing recipe and leave out the baking soda, vinegar, thin it with a little chicken broth, and don’t bake it, it makes an amazing gravy to put over the potatoes and the dressing!
Please keep doing what you’re doing! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ash!
That’s so great! I’m glad you enjoyed everything.
Yes that’s a great technique for a fluffy gravy. 😊
When I hear dressing I think sage here in south Tennessee lol so I think now how can I do this in old fashion turkey and dressing, keep it up your going to change the life of many , God Bless
Thank you! Same to you. 😊
Wow you are getting famous! Keto Focus just shared your mashed potato video!
Oh wow! Thank you!
Pork rinds? Guess that’s not too weird though…
ETA- wow I was definitely WRONG! lol. I love your creativity!
Haha thank you! 😁
I'll bet if one is ok doing Keto/Ketovore for TG you could saute celery & onion in butter, heck fry up some bacon too, and add those before throwing it in the oven. Yum
Absolutely 😁
I add ground beef and country sausage to our stuffing. I've got keto "bread" cubes ready to go!
Thanks for your innovation!
Sounds great! 😊
Great video... Had a hard time hearing you over that music tho.
Noted
Oh my! You’ve done it again! I can’t wait to try this 😋 I am so thankful I found your channel & your awesome, creative recipes to enhance my new carnivore WOE. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ash!
Oh, and on a side note I love the music you use in your videos. My brain knows something delicious is on the way now and it’s actually turned into an ear worm. 😜
Thanks so much 😊 I’m so glad you’re here and enjoying. 😊
Thanks 😊 I was just logging on to find a carnivore stuffing!
Hope you like it! 😁
That looks awesome. I usually make a chaffle stuffing but I do use some veg in the for of mushroom, onions & celery.
Sounds great!
I wondered where the sausage was?😢
In the fridge until you add it in I suppose.
Looks good, but I'd miss the celery and onion crunch. I also put sage breakfast sausage in my stuffing. Not making stuffing this year, though, since it's just not the same without the celery and onion.
I hear ya there.
@@ChrisCookingNashville can't we add sauteed onion and celery before baking? That's what I'm doing... Thanks!
Absolutely. You can always customize a recipe to your liking. People seem to forget that’s a possibility. Unless the ingredients somehow interfere chemically or physically with the recipe and its ingredient interactions you can always customize things to your specific preference.
@@ChrisCookingNashville Yes, but if I made stuffing, I'd use seasoned bread cubes, which would kick me off my diet. I have zero will power, so I had to simply not make stuffing. That was the only way to stop myself.
👍🏼
I love your kind of crazy. I never doubt you after the mashed potatoes 😊 I can’t wait to try it. But really HOT DOGS!!! who would ever have thought. This might win me some money at thanksgiving 😉
Haha thank you. 😁
That looks really good I am excited to try it. You really are an awesome mad scientist in the kitchen. Thank you for all your efforts on these recipes. A very happy thanksgiving to you and your wife. 😊
Thanks so much. Same to you!!! 😊
IDK how you came up with this brilliant stuffing recipe but I'll definitely try it!
I didn't mind the music and actually thought it had a "Nashville feel" so was appropriate to your location.
Thank you kindly. 😊😊😊
We always made stuffing but I live in Pennsylvania Dutch country and they call it filling
Interesting. Never heard that term used before.
Once again. You have come up with an amazing recipe to help us eat what we like. Thanks Chris. PS Hope your mouth is feeling much better.
Thank you so much! 😊 Yes we’re getting better daily.
I cannot believe you came up with this! How crazy! I will have to give it a try and i hope it works half as good as yours! Thank you for this and thank Ash for being our taste tester! Happy Thanksgiving to y'all!
Hope you like it! Same to you. 😊
I could hardly hear you talking over the music. Thanks for the recipe!
Noted!
Oh! Check out PA Dutch potato stuffing casserole might try mixing the two, your mash and this one
Thanks for the tip! 😁
Okay just when I thought you couldn't be more magical, you somehow do this? You're like Dumbledore and Merlin combined!
Haha thanks so much. Hope you enjoy. 😊
I am impressed by the creativity of this recipe!! thank you for sharing
My pleasure 😊
Beautiful ...trying it right now..... By the way you mixed the music just a little bit too hot... Good stuff, but your voice is a little bit quiet. Thanks for all the amazing recipes!
Thanks for the tip!
Hey Chris, when are you coming out with a CookBook. Love all of your recipes!
Haha thank you. When I can afford to quit my day job a cookbook will be my first project. 😊
Chris I really enjoy watching you create it's actually very therapeutic...
Thank you so much 😊
Your creativity is inspiring 🪄
Thank you! 😊
Great timing Chris, I am excited to try this recipe!
Hope you enjoy 😊
I just finished watching and you're very smart with using hot dogs...very smart❤with your vita-mix you can annihilate hot dogs...or deli turkey
Thanks 😊😊😊
I'm so sorry to say this, but I can't hear you speak over the music. I absolutely love your recipes, you are gifted!
Thanks 👍🏼
I don't like regular bread stuffing, although I make it for the rest of the family.
For me it's a French Canadian meat stuffing that is similar to pork pie filling, but with more potato as the base. So I could probably adapt your mashed recipe for a carnivore/keto version.
Sounds great!
@unhfreak that sounds outstanding. A little of my French Canadian heritage coming out. 😇👍
👍🏼😁
Amazing work again. I’m waiting on some of those ingredients to make so of these delicious looking things. God bless you and your family. Happy Thanksgiving 😊
Hope you enjoy 😊😊😊 Same to you.
In my family it has always been dressing.
👍🏼😊
Loving this, so going to try it! Thanks for experimenting and sharing with us!
You are so welcome!
Wow. VERY clever! Thank you I'm keto so I'll be adding onions, and celery into mine, but this is AMAZING
You are so welcome! Sounds like great additions. 😁
Hot dogs!! 😱 Love it! But I’m not surprised, because your brain just works different in the kitchen! 😜 Yep. Dressing = outside & stuffing = inside, but hey, I know this will be great because no matter where it starts out…..I’m going to be putting it in my mouth in the end! 😂 Happy happy Thanksgiving to you, Ash, Mel, & your family! 🦃🧡
Thank you so much!!! Same to you. 😊❤️
Agreed...we need to start calling him "Dr. Chris, the food scientist!"
😂😂😂
Made it this morning. So incredibly delicious (for breakfast). I added some browned pork sausage and sautéed celery plus a handful of dried parsley. I am not going to feel at all deprived this Thanksgiving.
Sounds great! I’m so glad you enjoy it. 😁
Looks fabulous! Can hardly wait to try it. Music was way too loud tho. Could barely hear your voice. Nice music became annoying. But thank you for your culinary genius. 😋
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Man! That's amazing! I can't wait to make it.
Hope you enjoy it! 😊😊😊
I can't wait to try this . Looks awesome. You are amazing. Thankful for you and your recipes.
Hope you enjoy. Thank you so much. 😊
Chris I love how you think outside of the box. I just tried the egg pudding and that was great. So you know this gal will be making this recipe. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ashley.
Thank you! Hope you enjoy. 😊❤️
This stuffing is the best stuffing I have ever eaten. Thank you so much. Went great with my turkey and green beans fried in beacon. I can not thank you enough for this recipe. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
I’m so glad you enjoyed it. 😊😊😊
Thanks a bunch, we Wilber having 12 family members here for Christmas. I am the only carnivore. Will try this and hoping it is so good as you wife likes it. Cheers
Hope you enjoy. 😊😊😊
Love your stuffings!
Thank you 😊😊😊
It was stuffing for years, it was indeed stuffed inside the bird! Out of habit, I still call it stuffing. Well, that is more than interesting!! Wow! ❤
Makes sense 😁
You're amazing Chris!! I was surprised by the hot dogs. I'm not a hot dog person, but, this looks delicious!! Happy Thanksgiving to you and Ash!
If it helps, you’ll never taste the hotdogs in there at all. They blend in very well.
Thank you! You too! 😊
@@ChrisCookingNashville What purpose does the hot dogs do for the dressing? Flavor, or something else?
Texture and density mostly but some flavor element is there too. Also some moisture retention.
This is amazing, not sure how you come up with these recipes but keep up the great work. Hard not to watch this video with my mouth open, like no he didn't lol. Can't wait to try this. Hope you and your family have a fantastic Thanksgiving. Thanks for all you do!
Thank you! Will do! It’s my pleasure. 😊
so had the thought that if you did a sweet pudding mix and then continue with the rest of the no savory items you add for the "bread" and bake it it would be Hootenannies
Cool idea 😁
Dressing for us! My fave dish pre-keto. I can’t wait to see the secret ingredient -I have zero idea.
Hope you like it! 😊😊😊
I will absolutely try it. Thanks so much!
Hope you like it! 😊😊😊
I was always taught if it’s made with bread it’s called stuffing, if it’s made with cornbread it’s called dressing…💋🧚🏻♀️❤️🇺🇸
👍🏼😊
That is funny.....I was always told stuffing is for stuffing the bird, dressing is baked in a separate dish. I guess it depends on what part of the country you live in.
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@countrygal3688 I’m from Louisiana; definitely the south…💋🧚🏻♀️
👍🏼😊
Just got back from the store with more ingredients. I think im going to make this tonight and then again on Thanksgiving Day. Thank you SO much Chris!!! 🎉
Hope you enjoy. You’re very welcome. 😊
Thank you so much!
Anytime 😊
I used to call it dressing when we were eating the sad diet... Except our mother would put oysters in it and call it "oyster dressing".. LOve it Chris, gonna try it!!
Sounds like my house. 😁 Hope you enjoy. 😊
Thank you, Chris. I can't wait to try it.
Hope you enjoy 😊
Love your recipes bro and I really appreciate the music to it but wow the music is over riding I can’t hear it when you’re saying
Noted
Yorkshire pudding would be interesting to make carnivore.
For sure. Very difficult to get that reaction I would imagine. I’ll see what comes to mind.
Thanks for stuffing recipe… background music was annoying though
👍🏼
Pork rinds 💗😊thanks! 🙏
😁
Would prob work with some turkey spam too.
Absolutely
The hot dogs had me laughing out loud! Would have never guessed. So in my house, what you made is bread stuffing, and what we make is cornbread dressing. With sauteed celery and onions, and other spices, including sage. But will have to give thus a try! Thanks Chris! 🦃🦃🦃
Hope you enjoy 😊
Cool stuffing!!! Love this ❤❤❤11 weeks carnivore!!!When I was keto I started making stuffing with the keto biscuit mix. I found on Amazon and then added keto bread. And it was good, but I want some thing carnivore now!Wow thank You Excellent video!!!!Thank you so much for sharing this! I can make mine carnivore!!!! I might try and cut up eggwraps cause I don’t think I can get egg white powder in time ..Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🍽 🎄
Hope you enjoy 😊
Honestly, whenever I saw "dressing" it was more like stuffing and mashed potatoes mixed together. So I always assumed dressing was something much different than stuffing.
👍🏼😊
Very creative! Where's the sausage? :)
Thanks! I’ve never had one with sausage, but that would be a good addition.
Fantastic recipe Chris. Too bad you have to deal with so many sound critics. One or two would have sufficed. Keep those creative juices flowing. We love ya!
Thanks 👍😊
Chris I'm sure there's a lot of jealousy out there that you are a good cook. ❤❤❤
Aww you’re very kind. Thank you. That’s why I try to share what I know. Too bad some can’t see that I suppose. 😊
@@ChrisCookingNashville You know in your heart that you are doing the right thing. It's a lifestyle not a diet. I've seen some carnivores go off the rails and eat tonnes of junk food. They are ones that need your recipes. There's a lot of black and white thinking out there. I think that's why of your recipes are disliked. Stay strong, and don't listen to them. I hope you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy new year. I'm sending hugs and love your way. 💗💕❤
Thank you so much. Same to you. 😊❤️😊
I usually make a carnivore stuffing with pork sausage and crunched up pork rinds. This is a very interesting twist.
Thanks 😁
Hey Chris, i made your mashed photatoes and they were great!! I was so surprised even my hubby liked it!
What model Vitamix are you using please?
Fantastic! So glad y’all enjoyed it.
You know I actually don’t know. My parents got it for me like 5-7 years ago. Lol. I’ll have to check to know for sure.
We stuff the bird ( and cook extra outside ) but still call it dressing.
This looks good Chris.
HAPPY 🦃 DAY to you both!
Same to you! 😊😊😊
Love it Chris!!! If I cannot find Beef Gelatin, could I use Knox unflavored gelatin instead. If so, would the measurements be the same?
Yes that’s totally fine. Same measurement. Same thing just made from pork bones. 😊
The recipe I have been waiting for!!!!
Thank you!!!
Hope you like it! 😊
Thank you very much
You are welcome 😊
Amazing!
Thanks! 😁
Good stuff! Not a huge fan of stuffing so a little goes a long way for me. IDK if it's just me or that I use headphones but a lot of your content is in mono. The music is fine but the voices are mostly mono (some switch back and forth). Not a deal breaker but it makes it hard to follow sometimes for me.
I’ll check the audio settings. Thank you.
Have you tried to add in cooked ground beef or sausage to it also? I think that would be great!
I haven’t, but I imagine it would be great.
Just started the video, first thank you for sharing! I call it stuffing too even if I know better lol. I think the secret ingredient is going to be pork rinds, though that is probably too easy of a guess 😅 - was something I was thinking of playing around with for my stuffing this year.
Thanks for sharing!! Hope you enjoy. 😊
I always make my dressing with hard boiled eggs and cooked chicken added. Would that change anything?
No that would be just fine I’m sure 😊
Would love to try it with sausage 😋
You should! 😁
Another home run recipe! Hot dogs! I usually add sausage to mine… so that’s close! Anxious to try this recipe. Thanks again!
Hope you enjoy 😊😊😊
I’m so bummed that everything includes eggs, I’m just starting to add them back into my WOE (I was told I was allergic though testing) I hope to get to where I can have more, but don’t want to over do it. I’m more keto though and found a veg dressing I think I will try. You are so great at putting things together and come up with these great recipes and I’m sure the people that can do eggs will enjoy it.🧡
Thanks! 👍🏼
It's usually just the white that people are allergic to not the yolk 😊
@roxannebud1978 neishalovesit has a keto "cornbread" dressing. Maybe you could look into that one. I hear it's pretty good.
I’ve heard that too
The sage is an addition I would have to add for me or it will not taste like dressing. Its not carnivore but once in a year will not kill me or my weight loss. 😂
👍🏼😊
Why is sage not carnivore? Isn't it just a spice?
Technically no spices are carnivore but it depends on how clean you want to be
@@ChrisCookingNashville oh ok. Thanks
Anytime 😊
Definitely we call it dressin' !!
👍🏼😊
How in the round world did you ever think of HOT DOGS?? LOLs. I'm in the middle of watching this for about the 6th time, while making sure I know all the steps!!
Haha my brain is an odd place. Hope you enjoy. 😁
Dang, that looks good. I wish you were my neighbor so I could be one of your official taste testers 😋
Haha thank you 😊
Oh, going to do a dry run on this today.
Hope you like it! 😊😊😊
Hot dogs. Who’d a thunk it?😳😂🤣
Going to make this FOR SURE! Thank you Chris❤
QUESTION: I want to make ahead carnivore Thanksgiving dishes as much as possible. Could you tell us which recipes will do well as “make ahead and reheat “ items??? I’m planning on a “Chris Cooking Nashville” Texas Thanksgiving!
1. Carnivore mashed “potatoes “
2. Carnivore “stuffing/dressing “
3. Your Carnivore gravy
4. Carnivore “rolls”
THANKS AGAIN CHRIS!!
Hello! Thank you so much!
I’d say stuffing and gravy would be great made ahead of time. The other two can be done but it takes more work to reheat them properly. I’d try to make those day of if possible.
@ChrisCookingNashville
THANK YOU!!! ❤❤❤
My pleasure 😊
@@ChrisCookingNashville HI AGAIN!
Thinking the addition of cooked, well chopped giblets would be a great addition. Possible I may need a bit more broth so dressing won’t be dry? I’ll let you know what happens 🤣
YOU AND ASH HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING!!🦃
Hello! Good idea. Maybe a bit but shouldn’t require much if any. You could always just add a touch of water if need be too.
Just started watching & think.its chicken livers or turkey livers because that is what I use in my stuffing/dressing.
😁😁😁
How on earth do you come up with this stuff?! Hot dogs.....really?! Do you go to bed at night and think....I'm going to make stuffing out of eggs and hot dogs? Lol!!! I am definately try this for Christmas dinner! Thanks for all the hard work!
Haha my brain is a strange place.
We call it dressing in my family. We don’t eat turkey, so it’s never stuffing.
👍🏼😊
