- LEGO Star Wars via Rebuild The Galaxy has brought back the fan favorite Minifigure: Jedi Bob! The 75388 Jedi Bob's Starfighter is a fantastic set with very few shortcomings. The Jedi Bob Minifigure stays true to the original from the 2002 Republic Gunship but has added play-wear and another face! The other Minifigure in the set is very weird with the Ackbar Clone Trooper... time to build my AckbArmy! I'm very impressed by how cool Bob's Starfighter is and I only wish it had happened sooner!

It’s just so surreal that Jedi Bob is back. An obscure throw away character from 2002 that literally wasn’t even named in the OG set has become so big that we have a set dedicated to him
4:54 you kinda got your wish. I think that they were originally those figures but the cross dimensional thingy that causes the short transformed them into what they are now. This is especially evident with the color of the GONK droid. Also I think that in the short they will show the gunship transforming into this ship, it would kinda explain the colors and the extra engines.

i like how technically, jedi bob having yellow skin works in universe too. it’s not uncommon to see jedi of a humanoid species be blue, green, red, etc. and now all i want is a live action jedi bob

Kinda reminds me of guardians of the galaxy the way there's blue, green, pink, and yellow alien species that look indistinguishable from humans minus the skin color
One important thing to note is that the gonk Droid is in similar colors to the old battle droid, and the Ackbar Trooper is wearing clone armor. So it really is a remix of the old minifigure lineup.

The comparison in minifigure selection between this set and 7163 actually looks quite good. I like that the SR-V0 Gonk droid has a similar colour scheme as the shiny B2, the Ackbar trooper is like the original P1 clone, and Jedi Bob is... well, he's Jedi Bob
I love that they reworked 75333's flaws, most notably the gaps between the wings and the fuselage that they've now covered

Something that would've been extremely cool to see in this set would've been to only use pieces that existed back in 2002. It would give such a nostalgic feel and I think it would be very cool to see in the special.

I really love that the gunkdroid is the same colour scheme as the old super battle droid. Also the fact that his star fighter is in the style of Anakins customized star fighter from Clone Wars 2003 is also pretty awsome

I never knew of jedi Bob before the trailer dropped but now I'd die for this set.
Head canon: (might not work, idc) He's the same species as Luminara and Bariss. He was given to the Jedi before he could be properly named, so the Jedi just decided to call him Bob. He fought in several battles during the clone wars, but like so many others, he was eventually killed during order 66...or was he?
