Glad Memphis Showboats are back. I hope the Tampa Bay Bandits will eventually come back as well as all the other teams. My guess for season 3 is that the USFL will head west and the 4 teams that will come back are the Oakland Invaders, LA Express, Arizona Wranglers, and the Denver Gold.
The Bandits are already back along with the New Orleans Breakers, Houston Gamblers, Birmingham Stallions, New Jersey Generals,Michigan Panthers, Philadelphia Stars and Pittsburgh Maulers.
@@joeespin4377 I'm guessing you mean USFL. Why not?? It was a great league with cool teams. But I'm not "recreating" it. FOX and Daryl Johnston have the rights to most of the teams and they are bringing it back
My picks for the USFL with 20 teams. 2 Conferences with 2 divisions in each. Eastern Conference: Northern Division - Michigan Panthers New Jersey Generals Philadelphia Stars Pittsburgh Maulers Washington Federals Southern Division - Birmingham Stallions Jacksonville Bulls Memphis Showboats Orlando Renegades Tampa Bay Bandits Western Conference: Central Division: Chicago Blitz Houston Gamblers New Orleans Breakers Oklahoma Outlaws San Antonio Gunslingers Pacific Division: Arizona Wranglers Denver Gold Los Angeles Express Oakland Invaders San Diego Tritons (new team)
First of all, I love the NFL and nothing can beat it. USFL loved it back in the '80s. However, it's 40 years later and the USFL is back. Now can it compete with the NFL??? NO. USFL can't throw out big money like it did back in the 80s. With that said you still can have a pretty good football league. There still is talent out there. Let's be honest is every NFL game great??? Superbowl LIII Rams VS Patriots (Only a few years ago) was so boring. The USFL championship game last year with the Stallions VS the Stars was an exciting game to watch. Was better than some of the other Superbowls I have seen. So if you like football why not watch it. It's also great to see other cities like Memphis and Birmingham getting a team. XFL is also growing on me, like that it's all football and no wrestling to it.
Notice the dig that the Mayor of Memphis gave to the XFL regarding "gimmicks". He dissed the XFL. I have nothing against the USFL. I hope both leagues succeed, but I would like the XFL to make him eat those words. I wonder who will replace Brian Woods.
Yes, the Bandit's status is on "hiatus". They did this simply because Memphis is a lot closer to Birmingham. The plan is to expand using the former USFL teams. Bandits will be back eventually.
I don't like the new logo for the Showboats. It looks like the same company that made all the AAF logos (If so don't use that cookie-cutter company). Please keep it pretty much how the original teams look like.
@@badgerden7080 My problem is that you can tell it was done by the same company (or person). Look at the NFL, looks like every team got their own people to do it. I'm not saying the AAF logos were bad, just that it's obvious it was done by the same cookie-cutter company.
@@badgerden7080 But one big problem I did have with the AAF Helmets was that several teams had only one logo on one side while the other side had numbers on it. Also the Birmingham Iron was pulling a Cleveland Browns with no logo on the helmet, how boring.
@@sparkythesecretsquirrel4013 Completely agree. The original USFL was a great product with many top notch players in many great football markets across America.
@@sparkythesecretsquirrel4013 So do I myself completely agree with you the USFL in the mid 80s was fun and the logos were cool but Trump idea of a fall schedule would be a complete disaster
Well, that was for season 1, playing in "a hub city". Looks like season 2 will be played in 3-4 hub cities. Season 3 I do believe will be in all home cities.

why would you want to recreate the USFLA of the 80s

In fairness, the XFL was doing well, but were FORCED to end early due to the inept Government response to COVID. Not due to poor ratings or poor play.
I want to see both leagues succeed.

It's just your typical rivalry smack talk. I see it more from the XFL
Fire Kirby Wilson. I can't stress this enough. Kirby Wilson is just bad for the USFL.
I totally agree. He's terrible.

They actually plan on bringing them back in the future.

🤣🤣🤣 All of USFL teams play from a hub city. 🤣🤣🤣
The current USFL is a poor mans minor league.
Unfortunately true
I'm old enough to remember the OG USFL. That was potentially a true competitor to the NFL. Trump screwed it all up.
