Impressed with the style on some of these younger dudes
Surfed tht wave alot in the 90s.so EPIC srh crew
Pac Drive & Emerald City crew
Total commitment required!!!! These dudes got onions!!! Scary scary stuff.
Once you understand the spot it's not that scary. That reef though I've had a couple scrapes from it from miscalculations but it never really happens. Fun wave, very consistent, just like a jetty wave.
That is some great surfing and coverage. Thanks
Sizable California waves are always gnarly and you always gotta fight it.
Very nice! I recognize the spot (I think) 🤗
One of my favorite moves is the floater. I know it’s old school but I dig it. And the one at 1:48 after that barrel is SICK
,l
Everything is code red now!!
sketchy as hell mad respect
These boys are tearing it up pretty good
The smaller set waves actually had better shapes, more hollow and less disturbance on the face
Classic LJ that way
Most SoCal is like that
Surfing off rock Jetties is one of my fav things to do.
Those screaming lefts look so sweeeeeet!
Charging it .....Nice.....🌊🏄🔥💪👊
Not sure where this is but that's one big rock.
😂 lol
Good one! 😉
It's pb shore club mahalo 🤙🤪
🤣🤣🤣
Looks like Big Rock in LaJolla
Used 2 love that gurgle on the the small days and feared it on the big days.
SICK
The sets looked like a smaller version of deadman’s ! Nice wave
My birthday 26 July 46. Great waves and surfers.
that wave is kind of gnar gnar.
Ripping those drainers 👌
0:31 look at the boiling rocks😳😱😯
Coldwater Bingin
I love that the the thumbnail isn’t the wave lmao
Gotta keep these spots safe amigo
@@nicscharing it ain’t no secret bro
@@bradensmith5963 oh I remember all the media coverage for San diego during the code red 2 swell, me neither keep it secret bud
First! Love the waves here
Do you want an award for being first?
More Like Code Head....high.
nice effort to take that ledge at 1.55.
That 1 kid Must be riding his dad's Surfboard I think his dad used to ride that rainbow board In the 90s same spot. Boy, those backside kids are good these days...
blowing up our spots!! kooook
It’s been blown up
South of there was the wave during that last long term south. It's called Pigdoging it now. Grabbing a rail is an old more accurate term Yeah I'm old.
We shot two videos during this swell. Here's a link to the other: ruclips.net/video/TKldM052rv8/видео.html
tudor sighting
My favo summertime activity? horseshoes
Long hair gets in your face. Style is everything, I guess.
Big rock
3ft red code ,, funny
Eek those rocks are close
some nice caverns there, really kegging. Was the shoe holding?
naw, mainly botchers, super fritas. Big shoes though
I loved the shoe. Favorite spot
More like code pink.
How many broken boards that day?
LaJolla Big Rock
Not knocking the wave or the surfing but that's code red? Code red for ants?
Best lip bang 5:32
Meanwhile North County had some 15 footers. Not as fun as this though.
No Lobsters were hurt during the filming of this video 🦞
Yep, "Da Lounge".
What do you mean? Yesterday’s waves were absolutely terrible and today was just a little better that swell is long gone.
This was probably swell from about a week and a half ago I think
It was alumpy swell. Fall offshore would have cleaned it up in two waves.
Lobster Lounge 👏🤙🦆
Party

Big Rock?
code red and its head high....i get it, this name has been burnt to a crisp,.....nice lil slab but still, its not huge or anything.
Was thinking the same thing.
It's the same code red swell that hit Teahupoo and South Hawaii. It's dissipated a bunch by the time it hits Cali
Bird rock?
Big
Code Red? More like Cherry Lime Lift
call is slabby san dee
How was Windan on this day?
Windan?
@@rachelflair4835 windansea
Went out Tue morning, a few gorgeous double overhead sets but 20min between sets
Did I see JoJo Roper?
That floater was insane in the membrane!
O.K slick" Just because you are driving thru Compton, guess it must be" Blacks"
Bird rock La Jolla, just south of wind and sea. Goes off on south swells. Crowd is friendly. W swells are blocked by San Clemente island
This dude def ain’t from SD
also didnt notice this before but the crowd is far from friendly. one of the most localized spots. just paddling out can piss people off
Spot naming is for kooks.
@@iblong9505 stay mad
@@natebutler7996 they don't look scary individually, but when all 10 are together....
JoeJoe doing his thing...Tosh ding his thing and Joel just doing his thing
Code red in this video means that it’s the same swell that caused the real code red and this is what’s leftover by the time it reach cali. Relax yall
Code Red my ass, maybe for san diego
this wave is on google maps. so sad
Ive seen bigger waves in my bath tub 🛀
The way you fart after a night of Taco Bell and massive beers?? I don't doubt it. You can have that muddy wind break all to your self!
@@rachelflair4835 he’s probably taking a nice bubble bath and stirring up some farts that u mentioned. He sounds more like a white castles kinda guy lol.
U tonto
I like chatting the little farther bubbles. Ot is really fun
size isnt everything! its shallow !!
There's not enough information provided about this event. The impression given is that it happened in July of 2022. But everyone is wearing wetsuits. And the exact location is not mentioned. Viewers are having to guess.
It was last week, still wearing wetsuits bc it's cool water anyway and the upwelling from the swell dropped temps a bit to maybe 67 or 68F.
It can get pretty cold when swell comes in. It got down to about 64-66 at lowest during this swell. But usually rn it’s about 68-70
@@nikhilraisinghani2354 I haven't surfed for years but when I did, often at La Jolla Sores, in July the water temperature would reach 74 degrees, and jellyfish were everywhere.
Exacrly

Had to stop watching it so lame. Not the waves but people thinking that’s some kind of accomplishment?
Wow. That’s just normal surf. Lemme bring my helmet! I seriously feel bad if that’s the best those guys get. Just don’t parade it around like overhead is special.
