Thank you for your detailed review. Regarding the previous buzzing issue, we have conducted a thorough investigation and taken the necessary corrective actions. It has been confirmed that the issue was caused by insufficient glue on the paper cone, leading to an air leak. After the repair, the new batch of subwoofers has resolved this problem, and the sound quality is now performing well with the buzzing completely gone.☺

@@aiyimaaudio8133 Your subwoofer is just on its way to me and I was a little upset after seeing this video... I hope my copy won't have this problem. But considering that the reviewer received a copy with this problem, my chances are lower 😂 Thanks for the information, if anything happens I will write about compensation.

AIYIMA 800x I received it on the 21st When I first tested the connection with LFE, there was no buzzing. When I tested the connection with RCA R the second time, there was a buzzing sound.
Another informative video. Great job. I just purchased the RSL Speedwoofer 10E. Waiting for it to be delivered. It’s $299 plus tax. Shipping is free.I’ve been hearing great things about it for that price point. Possibly something for you to consider and review.
About the buzzing.. I would maybe look at the wires that connect the back of the terminals to the voice coil. It sounds like those wires may be touching the back of the woofer cone during incursion. I had the same buzzing on a Micca speaker woofer recently and that was the culprit. Just a guess though :)
Yeah, that's a very good guess. I actually had this happen to one of my 802D2 woofers during shipping so I am very aware of this problem. When I took the 8" driver out the tinsel lead wires looked ok and weren't hitting the spider or back side of the cone that I could tell. IMO this is just a cheap subwoofer and quality is very poor -- think white van special. I didn't troubleshoot what was going on because I wasn't interested in doing so. You would think AIYIMA would have double checked the quality of their product before sending it out to me for review. Guess not. Maybe they thought I would play ball and give them a glowing review like some of the other youtubers just because they gave me this subwoofer for free? Who knows, but on this channel I will always give you my honest opinion on a product, good or bad. Sadly this is just a bad subwoofer that IMO is way too expensive.
Re : buzzing - does it do it with driver outside cabinet? Does it do it with a different driver attached? Check input levels on amp? Might be faulty unit of course. Would be interesting to find out the cause.
I didn't do any troubleshooting and honestly I shouldn't have to. You would think the manufacture would double check the quality of the unit they were sending out to a reviewer. All I know is the buzzing sound happened all the time no matter what the source material was.
Just subscribed. Im always interested in what the woofer looks like in all these theater subs. I built two ported boxes for a pair of JL Audio 13w7 powered with a crown xls2500. It sounds awesome to me. Thank you for showing us what's inside and what we're paying for.
8:51 This may not be the problem, but it sounds to me like some kind of air leak from the cabinet, an opening beyond the resonance duct through which the air is also passing. Even bass reflex cabinets should only have the duct as communication between the internal volume of the box and the external environment, so that the enclosure has maximum efficiency. I have faced problems with speakers like this that generated an annoying noise similar to this.
@@Sector_Priz I wrote a very long text, but I hope it helps you if you have this horrible noise of air leaking in your cabinet; and, of course, if you want to DIY. I did this myself in my cabinets. Yes, it is possible. First you have to find out where the pressure leak is coming from, which can vary depending on the design of the model's construction. (1) It could be through a crack or hole in the cabinet's wood; (2) in cabinets where there are control panels and/or the amplifier or audio processing board are in contact with the internal volume of the transducer cabinet, air can pass between the panel and the cabinet's wood, or in cabinets with an inferior design, air can leak through any connections, buttons or other elements of the control panel that are not properly sealed; (3) or pressure can leak between the speaker/subwoofer and the cabinet. To make it easier to detect the location of the noise, you can play a low-frequency sine wave at medium volume. I have used 3 materials to fix this problem in my speakers so far: hot glue, white glue and EVA, but there is nothing stopping you from using other materials, depending on their use and availability on the market. - For problem 1, applying white glue is enough (maybe on some occasions it may be necessary to apply fine-grained sawdust together with glue to reinforce the repair). - For problem 3, I think that a ring of medium-thick EVA between the speaker and the cabinet will solve it easily, and of course there are also those 3M tapes suitable for this application, but you should check the gap between the structure of the speaker/sub and the wood of the cabinet, and you should also check if there are any irregularities or unevenness in the area of the wood of the box that will be in contact with the transducer, which can also cause leaks. I recommend using white glue mixed with sawdust to repair these possible imperfections, if you find them. - In problem 2, if it is a simple leak between the panel and the wood, you can use EVA or those 3M sealing tapes, just like on the speakers. However, the most annoying problem is when there are air leaks through P2 connectors, volume buttons and other controls, USB/TF slots and any other possible openings involving electronic components on the panel itself, or even in audio connectors on passive speakers, this can occur. The best way to put an end to this cause once and for all is to create a cavity specifically for the electronics/amplification/and also I/O connections, isolating all the electronics from the internal chamber of the transducer - good manufacturers produce their equipment this way. But if this cannot be done, you can use hot glue or even silicone glue to seal the components, and this on the inside of the panel, that is, on the side where the electronic boards are. This sealing with glues that are easier to remove should, of course, be done with future maintenance of the circuit boards in mind.
From those two picks the Polk will have more output. If you're in America and a small footprint subwoofer isn't a deal breaker, then get the Heco Sub30A. At the moment that sub is on sale for $229 and is quite a bit better than both the Sony and Polk. I did a look inside video on the Heco subwoofer and it offers insane value at the current $229 sale price.
haha! You got it. Couldn't help myself. I was trying to think of a bass heavy song and naturally this one came to mind. I even did a short with my 802 Diamonds rocking out to this song. :)
For the price you can build one that can out perform it very easily you can pick up a 2.1 3116 plate amplifier for 35$ and a box for about 60$ or less and a 8in car subwoofer in multiple brands easily for under 100$ that will out perform it. You could even get a used 8in woofer off ebay for under 50$ the pick up 2 8in passive radiators wich will sound even better. 💯🫡👍✌️🎶🎵

In my country the Edifier T5 8 inch is budget king. 119 euro. Great review thanks.
I have been wanting to try one of those out too. I might have to pick one up and do a look inside video on it.
In terms of "best" budget 8-inch subwoofers, you can't go wrong with the Monoprice Premium Select-8.
Thanks for the suggestion. I haven't tried out any of the Monoprice subwoofers yet, but have heard good things about them.

Thanks, man! Right now I'm just focusing on speakers. What did you have in mind for DACs? Reviews? I'm not against the idea.
