4:05 I mean, objectively speaking he's not wrong: no character development -> no leaving the train. No leaving the train -> living on the train. Living the rest of your lives on the train -> dying on the train. "then they die here" doesn't *necessarily* mean they get killed because of the train. It can also just be old age. But "necessarily" doesn't mean "unlikely".

The only reason she did all the other stuff, like removing the magnetic shoes of the passangers and giving them their stuff back, was so she wouldn't have them on her conscience so she could focus on her plan. Basically "I did all I could for them, now they're on their own"
@@floricel_112 Yeah, besides, the jumpsuits, and taking their stuff away, was for One to have the passengers start in a state of complete neutrality, which, with how machine-like and logical One appears to be, seems like the optimal choice in character for him (reduce any variables to have the input as standarized as possible).
Although, at the same time, if you’re in a situation where you need to learn a lesson with lethal stakes... some people might refuse the lesson

Wow, I didn't notice Min-Gi was wrong about the table in episode 1. That's a really subtle and clever way to establish a character flaw! Jeez this show is amazing, I can only hope book 5 happens one day, if ever.

I feel kind of slow for realizing this, but that scene in the art museum where Min-G is left behind after Ryan finds the exit is supposed to parallel the event in their lives that tore them apart. Min-Gi left Ryan at their performance and had to watch Ryan leave him behind. While Ryan was given the "option" (which was really just an illusion) to leave Min behind. Both experienced what the other felt in that moment
I wish the show emphasized this parallel more and/or made the characters realize it. Still love it though

Sad is,the script for book 5 was completed when it was announced that infinity Train was cancelled they even had plans for the rest of the books. Oh, well at least Netflix is actually going to let the Dragon Prince finish with however many seasons it needs
Netflix giving The Dragon Prince the rest of the seasons it needed surprised me, especially since many other shows were not as lucky (Glitch Techs, Stretch Armstrong, etc.) It does mean a longer wait, though.

I just love how each book they make a completely new and unique history, Book 1 with tulip, Book 2 with Lake, Book 3 with the Apex and Book 4 with Ryan and Min, Something i just love about this, wish it would have gotten more books.

Also due to the unique concept Infinity Train is potentially one of few shows that really could go on forever or at least much longer than most since the show is always following new characters and new cars which can house pretty much anything they want without the show feeling stale!
Such a shame it's only available on a streaming service that's only available in the US! DX
It's called an Anthology series for a reason
Yeah, I really like how each story is unique but they are all interconnected. For last two we met the protagonist of the next book in the previous book, and of course they mixed it up on us by having this go back chonologically, but it still gave us little tidbits of what the train was like in that time.
Owen said that Book 4 was a palette cleanser before Book 5 being centered around an Amelia Movie. So it would make sense that 4 would be a lighter tone.
That actually explains a ton.
I like how Ryan and min are represented by red and blue, and in their show at the end there is a bit of purple lighting

The reason is due to the fact that the creator of infinity , Owen Dennis, said he was going to show one actually kill a passenger in cold blood and even some Dennisons. So we most likely would have seen book five through the eyes of Amelia. We would see Amelia usurp one and give an extra layer to her character. One would most likely try to kill Amelia and give his scary robot vibes like we saw in book 1.
@@friendlyfriday3445 I have this theory that the reason Amelia took over is because the denizen she was traveling with got deconstructed and absorbed by One (probably to better understand what makes a "good" denizen) right as she was about to step through her door.
The resulting trauma slamming her into rage mode and setting her number back to 337. She cracks One in half and chooses to take over now that she believes she'll never get to leave the train.
@@JohnSmith-bn5mi that’s a cool theory. Mine has some similarities but is quite different.
My Theory summarized:
1.We see Amelia getting on the train
2. We see her brief adventures through the cars and makes some friends
3. She’s bettering herself little by little
4. She finds ONE and try’s to learn more about the workings of the train because she’s naturally a scientific person
5. She actually tries to change some aspects of the train for the better, like giving passengers there clothes back and showing ONE passengers are more than just numbers.
6. She is tempted to reconstruct her old life and tries to get close to ONE as much as possible. She wants to persuade him to do it
7. She wittinesses ONE kill a passenger. ONE explains that a passenger who refuses to better them selves, and only gets worse, must be eliminated. It’s only logical in his mindset
8. Amelia is understandably fearful and realizes that her plan to get close to ONE can very easily backfire. There’s a chance that her number could go up and she now knows too much about the train.
9. Although she wants to recreate her past life, She ultimately decides to usurp ONE out of survival. It’s only a matter of time before she’s deemed a threat
10. Struggle for power between Amelia and ONE. She recruits the help of Dennisons and finally stand up to ONE
11. Obviously a robot with a killer suit will have the upper hand. She has to go on the defensive and hides. Her help is getting killed by ONE and his robots.
12. ONE Gives his scary robot speech about how she’s too illogical. He goes on to further emotionaly wound her as he looks for her And would say something along the lines of “I see now that you being reunited with your husband is the only logical conclusion”.
13. Amelia is out of options and makes one final push for her survival.
14. ONE and Amelia are stuck in a standstill. ONE is now going to kill her but she gets the upper hand and breaks one into two.
15. She now controls the train and actually tries to make the train safer but as time goes on she starts focusing all her attention on reconstructing her old life leading her down a dark path. This will eventually lead to the events that take place in book 1 years later.
I really love the line read on "I'm a bell!" It just makes me laugh and i can't explain why.
The delivery sold it for me. It was dripping with sarcasm
My money's on them moving on to comics. See Samurai Jack and Invader Zim. Then we got proper followups for both

I would buy the comics if it got moved to comics. Of course I would be a bit sad that we wouldn’t see it on the screen and hear a bunch of great voice acting

I love how when Ming Gi and Ryan's numbers went down for the first time, they didn't see them, meaning that they wouldn't have figured out that they both have issues as fast as they could've. I just thought that was cool.

Season 3 did NOT end with a friendship rebuilt and everyone apologizing and I don't know if my emotions could handle it if they just kept upping the ante with how dark this show gets every season. As much as I love books 1 through 3, I think making this one more wholesome was a breath of fresh air.

I genuinely can’t pick a favourite season, they’re all so different and each one had particular strengths I really enjoyed. I love how solid of an introduction book 1 is and how fun and relatable it’s characters are, I love Lake’s journey of identity and how raw and real their rage felt in book 2, I love how incredibly well written the terrible people of book 3 are and the deep emotions it brought out of me, I love how personal and heartfelt book 4 is with its realistic depictions of the compromises and communication required in a relationship. This show is so fantastic, I love its variety.
Season 2 is my favorite. I loved everything about Lake, but the best part for me was how they found a way to break the train’s rules and escape. It felt like having a wonderful dream and waking up to find an item from your dream miraculously sitting in your bed.

@@slevinchannel7589 to be honest the last season is the only season that makes every single pocket dimension to be a threat to the main character. After Amelia takes over the train, there is no denizens can explain about the purpose of the train which lead to the event of the apex. Because nobody can do the explanation, most car kinda lost the purpose in calculating which car is for which passenger to learn what kind of lessons, which explain why from book 1-3 there are many car that is kinda chill... while book 4 is the one that up the level by making every car to be a threat. Every episode have a sense of danger and the whole book carries the theme of apologies... if you noticed not just kez didn’t apologise, but min and ryan didn’t either... that is why their number always back to 202. For me it’s a great book on it’s own, don’t have to compare
I like that they had Korean peeps in this book. I am korean, so its really cool to see that one of my favorite shows had someone that was in fact Korean. also, my middle name is Minji, pronounced Mean ge. thats also how you pronounce Mingi, Mean Ge. the only difference is that the gi im Mingi sounds like a hard G, while the ji in Minji sounds more like a soft g.
The song to conclude the season is weirdly symbolic of the show's cancellation, the "Train to Nowhere."
There's something that I noticed that might not mean anything but is a personal theory of mine
Episode 7 of Infinity Train has followed a pattern of introducing characters that we would get to know better later in the series (as opposed to being the darkest episode of the season.) Maybe the hand monster is made up of someone we were meant to get to know in the future? As soon as I saw the numbers on the monster, I realized that it was capturing and engulfing passengers. It felt especially foreboding because we never got to see exactly what it was trying to accomplish by manipulating Ryan and Min-Gi. We only got implications of it's true motive.
Maybe it would've been the antagonist of another season instead of the Gohm?? Maybe it's what gohms used to be???
I really wish we could've found out, but maybe one day we will :)
One theory I saw online is that perhaps One was keeping the Docent in check, perhaps by keeping it from leaving and resetting the train car every so often to make sure it doesn't kill too many passengers. However, after Amelia's takeover, the Docent escapes its car and starts traveling through the train, killing passengers as it goes. Maybe part of Book 5's journey is dealing Amelia realizing that her actions directly lead to this, and her trying to fix her mistakes.
I think all the people coming after them sucked, the pig and cow wanted to keep them there forever, and how'd the pig even get through the door when the door was in his own mouth...
Min & Ryan are 55-56, I wanna see old Min and Ryan
Corporations constantly screwing over this amazing show will be the biggest mistake for their careers. It’s literally HBOMax’s most well received animated series. Imagine the toys or action figures they could make, there could’ve been an infinity train toy set but no! Worst of all, the people who worked on this show is scrambling to find new work. These corporation screwing over its audience and crew, ugh!

It is a denizen I think, the numbers are there to show that it takes passengers, and not that it's a passenger. Especially since this is Pre-Lake I don't think there would be something that was neither a denizen nor a passenger. It's probably just a malicious denizen
And also about the "more creepy than any SCP" bit, I also don't think that's true- You said that SCPs being known or contained make them less scary than the docent, but I don't see why, the docent is also contained (within the Art Gallery Car). The docent is dangerous and terrifying it takes passengers and adds to its collection of arms, but in terms of the concept and what it does to people, there have been way scarier (and confusing-) SCPs. It's been a while since I've looked into anything SCP-related, but off the top of my head, SCP-3999 (I think) would be scarier, being a reality-bending god whose sole goal in life is to torture someone for eternity, only stopping when the person being tortured got *used* to being tortured (which I wouldn't really count as a win-).

I was watching Book 4 with my friend who hadn't seen it, and every 2 seconds she was expecting them to kiss lmaooo, I thought they would either kiss in the maze or the castle (imagine how cliche but romantic it would be if their kiss brought both their numbers to 0 omgggg)

so, season 3 is the only season where we dont see the main protagonists (amelia doesnt count) get off the train.

I don't think the train is that smart, Kez said that sometimes the number is part of the problem, which means that at some instances, what the train does to try and help others might actually be hurting their chances (e.g. Ryan's first exist, Tulip overthinking her number, or Jessie's exist and return). I think it makes more sense that the train just saw that Ryan's number went to 0 because Ryan *did* technically fix his problem by saying "I won't leave you", and gave him his exist, and when Ryan considered leaving, his problem came back and therefore his number went up, making him lose his exit

I think it's more of an error thing, like what happened at the last episode of book two.
It's a paradox, they're supposed to be able to leave because their number dropped to 0 and they figured out their issues but they can't leave because if they separate again they're going against their learned lessons and unlearning their character development, which takes away the door.

when they where in thier future forms where they know everything, theyd be able to understand the situation, and yet they still went after Kez. So yeah id say they deserve it in that way too. Also I think the knowing all is kind of BS. Maybe everything the train could give them, passenger memories, denisen information, but I dont think theyd know anything outside of that.
I'm like 40 percent sure that there's going to be a book 5 movie one day, but Book 4 gave me just enough of amelia's takeover to be happy if we don't get it.
As I see it, this season is like the fisrt half of a episode 8 (especifically, The Ball Pit Car), with the main cast being the softplay part and the Amelia and One's cameos being the Steward's limbs trough the episode. A relax episode with some disturbing elements on the background.
Then, book 5 would be the other half, with the suffering, probably tears, shi*t tons of revelations and a MURDER.

I just love this show so much. I remember forcing all my friends to watch the RUclips video when the pilot first came out, and seeing it go out saddens me. My favorite was Book 3 probably cause I resonated with the Grace, but every Book has something that can be taken out of it and that's what makes this show so great. It started a conversation, and though it leaned towards "being more mature" anyone can watch it and look back at how great it was. Owen Dennis gave us a gift that we just gotta cherish forever.
I find that that CN cancelled the show because it wasn’t going to have a child protagonist very hypocritical and BS, especially when they had shows like Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, Mech-XLR, Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, Mighty Magicswords, and Mao Mao that all featured an adult as their main protagonist.
What is more tragic is that Mao Mao is also getting the infinity train treatment ☹️

I just wanted to point out that the evil hand monster made them feel that they wanted to be alone after they acted brashly and got all cold. Morgan does the same thing right before they leave the train, and if all of the other denizens from other cars made it to the castle car, who's saying evil hand monster didn't?
Because Kez didn't screw up the Docent at all. After its first attempt on her fails, it doesn't bother again and doesn't even seem to acknowledge her.
And when Ryan and Min-Gi escape, it's not like they left the art gallery damaged or broken or anything. So it just went back to waiting for more Passengers to pass by.

It's funny that you say that this was the lightest in tone. I never thought about it that way because this season is the one that had the hardest grip on my heart. No other season has made me this sad or anxious. I think the theme of book 4 was a really important one that is under discussed. So yeah, this is by far my favourite season.
I hate how I didn't get to learn more about the train itself and how Amelia concretely took the train over. Also: Why is One, One-One these days? Tf did she do to him?
There were Storyboard pictures from the Season 5 movie leaked after cancelation, in one of them it looks like Amelia ripped One in part, wich could explain the split personality of One-One.

She could have added the negative side so that it would be in conflict and have a harder time returning to the engine and taking control, if you notice in the chrome car mirror one-one acts entirely like the negative side with no positive side, so the negative side probably isn't normal

@@Excelsior1937 Hopefully it doesn’t get an EXACT treatment with Samurai Jack, wherein a show’s entire storyline must be jam-packed into a single season, making things seem rushed as hell. That’s why reactions for the fifth season of SJ are still pretty divisive.

Be easy, 2 is absolutely the best. Alan Dracula is literally an omnipotent being that is barely sentient, and watching it interact is amazing. I’m also naming my next pet after this creature.

I wish I had noticed the Kez and Morgan, Min and Ryan parallel because that is such a subtle and great touch thematically.
We need more of this amazing series!!!!! A true masterpiece!!!!! This show has the most unique way of telling a plot, which is making the plot character development. My favourite season is 3, and I really hope we will get more. As far as I know, owen dennis wanted to make book 8 about Alzheimer, and this will be such an interesting direction for the show!!!!!

Season 3 is my favorite infinity train season, but I love them all. This show is a fascinating combination of super dark while also being wholesome, and its absolutely amazing.
Here's hoping the show is renewed eventually. This series is a hidden gem, only reason its not more popular is because its on subscriptions nobody has.
So funny man! Loved this. And yes, season 2 was my fav.
I love Book 2 the best, but after that, I really don't wanna pit them against each other, because the thought of any of these being "the worst" or even "the least good" feels flat-out wrong. Sure it's still establishing a world, but Book 1's still awesome. Its pacing is a bit wonky, but Book 3 goes hard & deep in impossible-to-forget ways. And I don't want to slight Book 4 just because it's short on lore or bleakness; it was still one of the most emotionally fascinating seasons of this show.
Damn it, I want more. None of these are less than stellar. The heck, Cartoon Network?

Also I rlly like how each book is a bit different so there is something everyone can like and prefer in each one. But I just always prefer the dark stories and I love Simon soooo Book 3 all the way baby!

I prefer book 3 as a conclusion. When I rewatch this, I start with books 1&2 watch 4 as a flashback, then finish with 3.
Ok season 4 is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE EPISODE it's the best it's wholesome and so cool I also love music so it was even better 🤌✨
