- I'm surprised there wasn't a video like this already on this site. Guess no one was curious enough to try it before.
I'm assuming all these look the same in Colosseum, for those curious about that as well.
Credit goes out to Blackwing from the ProjectPokemon forums for providing the complete save with all shinies obtained.

Recorded on Dolphin to make it look vaguely prettier than original hardware. Sorry about the micro stutters here and there, they shouldn't be too much of a bother (ironically, the worst one happens when Slowking shows up).
The cut around the middle is due to 8 boxes not being enough to store all 386 Pokémon, so I had to switch the memory card data to another one with the rest on it.
Several save editing tools were used to make the transfers bearable between the two games.

I don't really mind that they gave shiny Pokemon different color palettes in these games. It makes them pretty interesting and unique in a way.

Does Colloseum also have Kanto Pokemon?
I would like to know if it has Charizard or Blastoise.
@@halilacikgoz7865 There are no Kanto Pokémon in Colosseum, but there are Kanto Pokémon in XD. Neither game has the Charizard or Blastoise line. They may appear if you use a randomizer, though.

Just to save myself a bit of the trouble and clear it up for the future:
Yes, all of these are in fact shiny, you can see it denoted by the yellow name on the summary page.
Yes, to many of these the developers just slapped a color filter on top of them and called it a day (like Psyduck), and many others are flat out wrong in comparison to how they actually look in the mainline games (like Ninetales).
And one more thing, Totodile and Croconaw ARE in the video but there's a strange glitch with the mobile app that freezes it in that specific timeframe. Don't ask, I don't know why either. RUclips being stupid I guess.
Honestly i kind of like the fact that some of them are different than the main games. It implies that it might be true that the term "shiny" only refers to one of MANY different combinations possible for a shiny

Some of those really stand out, like Voltorb, Umbreon (the eyes specifically), Suicune, Heracross... I also find it weird that so many Hoenn Pokémon shiny models differ from their handheld counterparts. I mean, I get why the first two generations have inconsistent coloring, because they reused models from the Pokémon Stadium games, before some of the shinies changed color in Gen III, but they had to create 3D models for the Hoenn Pokémon, and somehow there are a lot of coloring differences between the console models and handheld sprites. Just look at Camerupt and the Metagross family. Still, really cool video, I've been curious about this for some time.
Wow, some of these are cool and different looking, but a lot of them just look like they're in shitty lighting (they probably just put a color filter on those and called it a day). That Voltorb though, that one's the best.
What amazes me is that shiny pokemon in this game actually have totally different portraits when viewed in the party. Not just the color, but also the pose, and they even have their own shiny sprites in the PC.

That’s my favorite part, you can be one of the few on earth who saw that shiny icon legitimately.
Image if we had offical shiny party spites for pokemon in the mainline games

alot of the shinies in this game look like the developers just put a filter over the Pokemon
Then someone hacked the game right before it was released, and inserted their personal Voltorb palette swap. :P
What wartotlr for example should be purple but realluly its blue colour had been lightened x10 prolly so the shell has become unbearably white to look at
I love the way blastoises cannons be withdrawn tho, thats how it should be (canon haha)
Even typhlosions flames idm...but pll are right when thwy say ut looks bare or naked (bear haha). Thats just different, how it should be...ig we never saw it much without the flamrs apart from anime, where i never remember seeing a typhlosion apart from Jimmy's

I'm just going to list all the shinies that look significantly different for those interested:
Venusaur (body is yellow)
Ninetales (Orange tail tips instead of blue)
Diglett (body is green)
Dugtrio (body is green)
Tentacool (body is light blue with dark blue jelly head things [???])
Tentacruel (body is light blue with dark blue jelly head things)
Ponyta (Grey flames)
Cubone (pink body)
Marowak (pink body)
Eevee (yellow body)
Moltres (bright orange)
Dragonite (yellow/very light lime green body)
Mewtwo (golden belly and tail)
Cyndaquil (bright blue back spots)
Quilava (This one is the most famous for having green fire, but the spots on it's back are also bright blue)
I dont think the tail tips was implemented until gen 4

I really enjoy a lot of the different shiny colors even though some seem kinda lazy with like a color filter just going over the whole thing. Still a good video.
the sceptile line here follows the same pattern where as in the games its emerald for the treecko and grovyle and falls apart.
This is amazing. Can you do one showing all the box sprites for shinies in Colosseum too? Some of them were oddly amusing and deserve a look.
Also, I see what you did there-- Frogger was that gen 2 OT on a big event save file. You did a gen 2 to 3 transfer for that, didn't you? Nice touch.
I dunno man, I'm lazy and I don't know if I can be bothered to transfer all these to a Colosseum save as well just for the box sprites.
As for the second, I have no idea what you're talking about. Gen2 to Gen3 transfers aren't even technically possible, not in a legitimate manner at least.
I don't know about other people but I personally find the fact that some of the shinies are different in this game than in mainline games pretty cool. Some even look better in this game!
Hey man, thanks for making this video! Ive been trying to look for these alternate shiny forms forever. By any chance, can you do show us all the shinies from the other games too like Stadium?
Funny you mention it, I've been tinkering with a Crystal save and controller plugins for the transfer pak on PJ64.
N64 emulation is still a disaster though, and Stadium 2 is one of those games that has a lot of visual glitches regardless of plugins.
All Pokémon are in fact viewable from Oak's Lab, but only a little preview, which is also a little glitchy but it's clear enough. Maybe I'll do all 251 going out into battle if I'm not lazy, as that's visually glitch-free for the most part. It would take a lot more time to record the clips for each one and a lot more setup (around 41 battles to include all 251, in which each of the six have to be chosen manually), then make sure the clips were well recorded, then stitch them together.
Don't hold your breath I guess, but technically speaking I think I could make it happen. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else beats me to it.

Man, Trapinch and Vibrava look great in this game. I wish Flygon's were closer to its usual shiny colors ;-;

This has been really intriguing to me, some models stays the same as the handheld games, other changes a color in some part and some have really different shiny models than their game-counterparts.Mind if I'll make a video about it one day? I'll credit you.

Some of them actually look like they had the colors changed. Others look like the exact same color but with a weird light texture only slightly changing the appearance of color
I didn’t realize they have the same 3D animation as Pokémon Stadium. So awesome..
Most of these Shinies look like someone had way too much fun playing with the Hue and Saturation slider.

Was finally able to transfer my Ruby team to XD, and Mt Shiny Flygon wasn't blue, I thought I was insane until I found this video and learned the truth it wasn't a glitch but the actual "Shiny" variant in XD. I've never felt more robbed and disappointed.
I've always pictured my dream shiny Regice to be turquoise-green, it's literally an alt shiny that I once made when I was doing shiny fanart. The fact that it's real in this game makes me so happy but also darn sad that it's only in this game. Like c'mon. That needs to be its permanent shiny, especially considering how indistinguishable they've made its actual shiny in the recent gens. It still looked good in the earlier gens even if it was a little boring, but right now it's one of the worst.

Hmm, they animated fire perfectly here, but yet they don't on the main 3D games (X&Y - Sword & Shield, heck even Legends Arceus)

I remember I used shiny Poochyena in Colosseum and I thought that 'mon looks good in 3D except eyes and nose, they are blue in main games... then used shiny Dugtrio. My reaction was like: what why it does look different
In case you're wondering why: in main games, shiny Diglett and Dugtrio have blue noses while Colo/XD, they have green bodies and brown noses.
I wonder why developer decided to give them different colours. Do they think blue-nosed moles are boring?

They're there. It seems the same has happened to some other people, but for some bizarre reason the video freezes exactly at the moment those two show up when I play it on the mobile YT app.
Try watching it on a browser or something. It seems to work fine there.
