Dead fun! I started to seperate in to pull and push trains and found my deadlifts felt weird, like something up with my back, that I haven't had in years lol ! So like a leg press on way up. Thanksyaaaa!!! P.s. That puppy is gonna have all the gains Pp.s I want a home gym like this seems to be like nothing else rn lolu
Basically drive your weight into floor with your feet to activate your lower body more than your back. You’re generating power from the floor to push up (with the legs) not to “pull up” from your back. I like to think of a reverse squat and you’re just maintaining the weight of the barbell while it hangs. That’s what’s helped me.
Instead of the weight, imagine you are using a resistance band for the same movement. You'll have to anchor the band under your legs to create the tension, right?
God bless people (and their backs) who use their back to do deadlifts
This is how my boyfriend taught me to do deadlifts :) good to know I'm doing them right
Also i love your leggings they're so pretty 😍
Awesome you guys can bond doing that kind of stuff! Probably pretty motivating :D
@Mars Lannan absolutely 🥰
He taught me this way as well
That's such of good way of explaining it. Never thought of it like you're doing a leg press. Thanks 😊
I would pay this woman to pep talk me through my day
Shout out to all the healthcare workers who have proper body mechanics to move all of our patients in all situations ❤
Nice space pants. Out of this world.
That’s great! Thanks!
No wonder my back hurt as hell when I was doing this in volleyball prep... thanks for explaining!
Great advice!
So we should (dead)lift with the legs. Got it!
I wish you were my personal trainer!
It will help if you train your core and gluts more.
beautifully explained
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ great info!!
I would love it if you could show the breathing technique while you do deadlifts. I really struggle with it
Breathe into your diaphragm to brace your core and spine
Oof. Watching the first one made me wince. I learned the hard way to never lift with my back. Wish I had your advice back then.
Most importantly, never let your upper back get lower then your hips. If thats happening, you need to go lighter.
nice form ❤

Question do we also keep our chest up before we lift off ?
Yes. Chin and chest up also helps prevent you from rounding your back.
Shoes?
She has been watching Athlean X videos
Also if it's heavy enough it's hard to cheat.
I’ve never understood the cue to leg press the floor, I’ve tried many times and it’s just confusing to me. Could you explain that tip a little more?

i've heard it phrased as imagine the floor is pushing up and you're pushing feet down, "rooting" yourself and balance like a tree

Think of it like you're pushing the floor with ur foot
❤️❤️❤️
& then you're working your glutes!
👍
My friend had a slipped disc while she did that. That's why I'm scared to do that exercise.
Start with light weights to get the form down. You can move up in weights gradually as you get more comfortable with the movement.
Honestly. I don't know how to hinge. And at this point I'm afraid to ask.
Gosh youre so cute
so a rdl and not straight dead lift
What?
No, that's definitely a deadlift.
