    Can I just add to this lovely ladies video, I’ve had the same journey, so here it is … Eat lots of raw veggies and you MUST have daily COLD showers or even better swim in the sea on a regular basis . Drink drink and drink water . Avoid stress and toxic relationships. Go for long walks and try not to wear heavy clothing, expose your skin to fresh air. Don’t sweat in bed , keep your bedroom cold . Walk 10k steps a day and make sure 30mins are fast walking. I know this sounds like ‘maaaan Really “ but I promise you will thank me in months to come … man up .. just do it ❤️

    What is considered over a “long period of time” for topical steroid use? 3 months or more? 6 months? I’m asking because I’ve been prescribed 2.5% hydrocortisone topical and was told up to 6 months was safe but I am very hesitant about this and it doesn’t seem right? Does anyone know? I even called my doctors nurse again to ask and was given the same information but it doesn’t sit right with me 😢I’m scared using it for more than 2-3 months I could get some of these side effects. Please help

    Excellent awareness video about TSW and bad side effects from hydrocortisone. I will tell my story and I am going to make a video because I'd like to also bring awareness.
    I was prescribed hydrocortisone 2.5% and terbinafine when I was misdiagnosed at an ER in March with ringworm on my right pinky finger. I was told to mix the creams and also to apply the hydrocortisone "as, needed". The pharmacy didn't have the hydrocortisone 2.5% and had to order it, which should have been red flag #1, but I trusted the doctor who diagnosed me so quickly I was confident he knew what he was talking about. Fast forward two weeks later, the rash was spreading all over my finger and a red band started to wrap around my finger. Back to ER. The doctor looked at my skin for ten seconds, turned off the light and said, "You nedx to go to a dermatologist, you have eczema. Keep using the hydrocortisone.". I told him, no I do not have eczema, I was previously diagnosed with ringworm. He said he couldn't help me,vi needed to contact a dermatologist and left the room abruptly. I went home and kept using the hydrocortisone. Fast forward two weeks more and my skin was almost burned off. The skin started peeling off in multiple layers and I lost function of it, like it wouldn't bend at all. Finally got with my insurance and got a referral to an urgent care at USC in Los Angeles. They also told me I had "eczema" and tried to prescribe triamcinolone. I knew that the hydrocortisone burned off my skin so I declined the prescription. They referred to dermatologist in the complex but I had to wait two more weeks because they were booked up. The dermatologist also thought it looked "fungal" and was quite confused and concerned at the appearance of my skin. I'd discontinued the steroid cream right after my urgent care visit and the skin was so thin you could see my veins and blood vessels. You could even see my pulse beating through my swollen skin. I developed two blisters on my index finger and my fingertips were mildly flaking. I also started to have mild peeling on the same ring finger. I started just using Eucerin Eczema cream and slowly the skin started growing back. Fungal tests came back negative and now I have a lesion that developed on the other hand on my middle finger. After multiple dermatologist appointments and declining oral and more stronger steroid creams, a dermatologist with 49 years of experience recommended simple salt soaks and a mild ointment, Bactroban for the left lesion. I still developed a small rash on my knuckles which I am dealing with now. They all tried to push steroids on me but after I found out about TSW around the time I went to urgent care, they stopped offering it to me and told me we were pretty much out of options. I've changed my diet, stopped drinking soda, no processed foods, started a multivitamin, fish oil and bland diet of soup broth and crackers and just finally started eating vegetables and fish with bland sandwiches with plain chicken on gluten free or organic breads. My skin is finally refreshing and regrowing. I am doing some salt soaks only and using the Bactroban on the left coin size lesion only because it apparently got infected. I am seeing improvements.
    I also started to feel very depressed, sick and itchy all over the first two weeks after stopping the steroids. Horrible dreams, night sweats, etc. I am feeling better now. It's been over 1.5 months since I stopped the hydrocortisone. What a nightmare. Now I am praying it stays confined to my hands. Most of the dryness is gone, skin flaked off and the blisters on my index finger have vanished. Left thumb had small rash that also vanished. I am still dealing with very recent small rash on two knuckles near where I applied the steroids.

    I’m currently going through this. I’ve been using the 0.05 % which is super mild, been using it around my eyes as I get Eczema on eyelids and on arms but while the condition subsided it’s starting coming back with a angry red flare up when I stop. I look awful at the minute whereby I don’t even want to go out and make up is a killer to use but I genuinely would rather sweat this out than go through what I experienced the other day. It just randomly kicks off with angry red flare ups and I can’t even contribute it to anything that I am doing! It’s so bizarre.

      hi i was given fuciden H cream for eye area, but didn't see any improvement and went back to surgery and they prescribed hydrocortisone 1% cream and the referral to a specialist, luckily i only used hydrocortisone for 2 days and the specialist said stop all surgery prescriptions which were tablets, creams, gels and all sorts. i'm on a new plan at the moment, zerobase cream to use in sink or bath 3 times a day and the greasy eumovate ointment cream around eyes, it makes skin very soft with that protective greasy barrier with moisturiser and helps while skin repairs, i had where it was very dry, flakey, red, itchy around eye area and it seems to be looking better at day 7 now of 10, i'm to get a phone call on day 14 to see how things are from the skin specialist.

However I did try another chemcal which was supposed to make a chemical peel this was a disaster. so maybe hydrocortizon is not entirely to blame ?

    how fast does your hair grow? i am suferring from hair loss and my hair thinned out to around your amount and I was wondering that your recovery went really quick in your old video, like it became thicker in a year! which is quick

    • @naturully
      @naturully  3 года назад +2

      Hi Sana! My hair grows at an average speed I would say but it definitely has grown faster more recently since I moved to Singapore. I think the main thing you want to look at is your nutrition and lifestyle (stress, sleep, etc) but also make sure you are using the right products that keep your scalp healthy. Good hair growth is a result of a healthy scalp, so start there and the hair should follow!

Also how long did the burning/stinging around the body last for you? They're my most troublesome symptoms so far as the swelling, redness and flaking have all gone down.

    Can you please advice what tests to consider to find out root causes from your experience

    • @naturully
      @naturully  3 года назад

      Hi there! So I did a vitamin deficiency test, iron test, and an allergy test. The allergy test tbh wasn't super helpful, other than that I just focused on tuning in to what my body liked and didnt like but its reactions. Rather than just listening to what other people told me I shouldn't be eating or doing. There are other tests you could take if you're interested, or if you can find a functional doctor near you they should be able to guide you better on what you need.
