1. Work Accomplished = Time spent x Intensity It's better to study for 1 hour with 100% intensity than to study for 5 hours with 50% intensity. N.B intensity = FOCUS 2. Goal doesn't matter, it's all about the system. e.g., the Goal is getting an A* in physics but everybody wants that though, the reason not everyone gets the A* in physics is that not everyone focuses on the system(means the way to reach that goal: the journey). Only a few chunks of students are doing so. 3. The way you are studying isn't your sweet spot. Sweet spot means challenging enough to intrigue you, not too much difficult as well as not like a piece of cake(e.g. just rereading your notes is a piece of cake 🎂).
Three key points from the videos 1. Work accomplished = Amount of time spent x Intensity 2. Focus on your system. You don’t rise to the level of your goals… you fall to the levels of your systems. 3. To make things interesting, challenge yourself. Doing same repetitive things will get you in your comfort zone and will not help you raise your standards.
I think you found the sweet spot for how long these videos should be when talking on this subject. I'm not in college or looking to study but i found this quick, interesting, and entertaining.
Cal Newport with „How to become a straight-A student“ and James Clear with „Atomic Habits“ are definitely two books that are worth to read trough. The last one on your list still needs to get checked out by me xD
Remember also to teach someone your material. Amazing way to make it more challenging and also make sure you know it. Even if you are just standing at a white board pretending to present the material, it's a huge help.
I love the amount of effort he puts into his videos. Even the short ones. The effects he uses and the way the video starts right to the point and ends on point without extra useless blabla is just really cool. Keep it up! You make our life better

does anyone know how I can stop that feeling of doubt whenever I study? It's just every time I read/study, I always feel worried that I might not remember what I am reading. :(
I think that it comes to the fact that you should focus on testing yourself - the more you realize you learned and answered correctly, the more confident you'll be I believe in you!

Hello Cajun Joi Academy ! I wanted to share how helpful your videos have been for me, I re-taken my MCAT last year and undergoing my second application cycle. Low and behold, I got an acceptable offer last Friday, so thank you, Mike & Matty. P.S please keep uploading studying stuff, ill need it for more schooling :) lol
1. Work done = time spent × intensity 2. Goals doesnt matter. The system does. 3. Try difficult patterns ( to study ) instead of just stucking to the usual easy patter.
RemNotes!!! I get so excited with flashcards when I active recall. 😆 is it possible to change English standard, I'm in South Africa 🇿🇦 and we don't use American English standard so most of my words are underlined in red 😆
I think the best bet is doing what makes you happy, because you don't have to come up with methodologies to study, because your body will do all of the work for you. #WorkSmarterNotHarder
I like watching videos and doing practice questions. I can do both of these in the same amount of time (or less) than reading an entire chapter of Robbins. However, my school insists we read Robbins and pulls out random small details for the exams just to see if we read the book. So I kinda feel like I have to passively read the text and make flash cards, which takes forever and is more passive than questions that require application.

Hello Cajun Koi Academy, I have a question. Did you guys abandon the newsletter for some reason that I do not know because after I confirmed my subscription weeks ago I haven't gotten a single newsletter from you on mondays?
Hello friend, I am new to your channel, I was watching the video and I want to talk to you about my case and what do you recommend? I am a high school student, I am one year away from going to university, my grades have always been over 70 or 80, they are not bad but I know what could have given more, besides these tips, what else do you recommend for a better study? Thank you for reading this comment
Great video, very useful tips. Do you happen to know how to make two different rows in RemNote? Example: Skull Neck Kind of like that but where it is two different Rems? (And not two different panels, in the same doc)

Please keep making those three minute videos from three books. It's actually helpful and makes studying enjoyable.
I am reading Atomic Habits currently.....and it's nice to know that my self comprehension of it was absolutely correct and the way he said
1_Focus (fast work + less time needed)
2_Have a system that will make you reaching the goal you want .
3_Seek a challenge (exe. Test yourself ).
Quick , crisp , informative ..best combo !!
No time to waste right?
All of Cal Newport’s books are great! I enjoyed Digital Minimalism and Deep Work along with How to Be a Straight A Student.
ngl your channel is different than all other creators in this area you provide information to the point no bullshit

how can i build up best study system for me?
If "Work Accomplished = Time spent x Intensity"
