Why are there so many annoying rules for Florida campgrounds when people are in need and homeless?

    Real estate companies and banks that own rentals don't want people to have any options. They own the property- they are setting the rules. Change needs to be made.

    The lack of homes in not because of lack of land available. It's largely because of regulations of local municipalities. Which often the citizens support because they don't want anyone to lower their property by heaven forbid having a smaller home or using alternative housing. Even in rural small towns in Oregon for instance you are not allowed to live on your own property in an RV, Yurt, Tiny home, earthship, Van or any affordable housing option. They almost always have a requirement of minimum sq footage (often 1200+) and must have a foundation. Zoning restrictions prevent it as well. People need to demand their cities and counties take steps to get out the way to allow affordable housing. Inflation also causes high prices because people and corportations buy property to use as savings (rather than for utility). They do this because we keep printing money (by running deficits) which causes the existing money to lose value. Which means people can't use the currency for savings.

    In SWFL they keep building like crazy and there are already so many newly built homes for sale, it’s insane. And it seems like there is no rhyme or reason as to where they are going up, especially in Cape Coral. Killing the environment while they are at it.

    We all should respect the environment. Mama and daddy should have taught that and mine certainly did. Regulations are a result of law by bureaucrats due to ignorant or trashy human beings who either don’t care or weren’t taught any better. There’s no remedy for this type behavior. I grew up in the low country of SC and spent a lot of time around the coast and marshlands. Marsh gas stinks, it’s part of the eco system. I’m 61 now and the coastal marsh just has a smell and always has from my earliest memories. The red tide in Florida is a whole different matter.

      That’s a good point. Not every sniffer knows the difference. Every environment has a smell that may be natural but not necessarily pleasant to the unfamiliar or just via personal preference. I do think some people don’t care. I also try to understand that sometimes people are in such a tough spot that they just can’t see the forest for the trees in the moment. It’s too big to tackle alone and I’m grateful for the engagement on this subject.

      this will always be the case as long as gov't runs deficits. Which causes inflation. Which causes people to use property as a savings account because they can't save in the currency.

    Tell us you are NOT a FL native without saying you have no clue what causes redtide 🙄
    Stop peeing in the pond ... its not helping.
    And, clean (chemical free) grey water is a good additive to the greenways and watershed, always has been.
    Complain about all the manicured lawns and unnatural fertilizers washing into the watershed ... that IS a problem. A big one 👍

      @@JadyGrudd respectfully disagree. Yes, they are a problem but not the biggest. Big sugar and their processes have been around MUCH longer than the developments and misplaced chemical drainage of the manicured population.
      IF big sugar were to blame, why is it only now problematic ??

    • @MotherRabbit
      @MotherRabbit  2 месяца назад +1

      I don’t know if there have been independent studies on this. I know natural soap companies typically claim an ingredient list that is theoretically not harmful or as harmful. I’ll have to look for any EPA or university research on it. That’s a great question!

      True black soap is made with all natural fruits. Some examples of ingredients, cocoa pods, plantain bananas, etc..
      It's for watering my garden that I have attached to back of RV
