This band probably uses every style of music in existence across their albums. The acts evolve slowly in style whereas the color spectrum is a collection of EPs which each have a vastly different style. Love hearing all the inspirations pulled out since I'm not the most prolific listener of the classics.
They recently released a new album as part of their Indigo Child project called Antimai and the more I listen to it the more I love it. It's a change in style but very funky and fresh.
Awesome to see your reacting to this Awesome band! 😁 I discovered them a while back though it’s been a while since I’ve went through there discography. I know they recently released a project called “The Indigo Child”. I remember it being good. Id recommend “The Most Cursed Hands / Who Am I” if you haven’t heard that one yet!
If you dig the almost experimentally layered vocals, Casey (lead singer, brain behind the band) was part of an early 2000s progressive emo (it's the best musical genre of all time, fight me) band called: The Receiving End of Sirens. I recommend the title song from the first album: Between the Heart and the Synapse.
Definitely one of my favourite songs by them, unfortunately I got mega obsessed and over-exposed myself to them so their songs don't hit as hard as they used to for me, however they will always be one of my favourite bands.
