The jazz and funk infusions on this album just further establish how much variety The Dear Hunter has in their discography. One of the most versatile bands out there!
Thank you Dean! If you look at the track listing it's the last song. It starts at Ring 8Poverty, Ring7 Industry,Ring 6 LoTown etc etc and so on.Interesting concept album.
@@deanwolfechannel Pretty unique I'd imagine. It does remind me of the sequence of four Dream Theater albums known as their "Meta album cycle", in which each album starts with the same note that the previous album ended on. Makes for a nice continuous listening experience across albums.
@@thecentralscrutinizer5730 yeah, as Octavarium is the last album in the sequence and ends on the same note that it started, closing the loop on itself
Thanks Louie. Good stuff. Jazzy grooves. Reminds me of a band I’ve been listening to lately, The Tangent. Recommend The Melting Andalusian Sky or Tech Support Guy.
I hope you find the time and interest to react to some of their live shows. There's the Audiotree Sessions, The Color Spectrum Live, or their act livestreams. A cool idea would be to compare the studio recording (ruclips.net/video/VSxkYXYclDM/видео.html) of the track The Inquirey of Ms. Terri and the Livestream version (ruclips.net/video/RTgW1Vr74Jc/видео.html). Thanks, as always!
Most underrated band in the world
Seems so
@@deanwolfechannel Like...they seriously are. Where tf is snarky puppy for the tour.
I wish it weren’t true
Good news tho, I recently converted a friend into a tdh fanatic
I completely agree 100% this is just brilliant.
This album just keeps on growing with each listen. As the kids say… it’s a vibe.
Wasn't a huge fan my first listen. Couple hours later I couldn't get enough
Now you sound old 🤣🤣 No its swag or lit grandpa. 🤣
Ring 1 is the definite best song on this album, holy shit how good is it live!

This and Industry are the highlights of the album. Incredible songs

Right and Casey confirmed that the abrupt ending is leading into the first track on the next album
Wild. That must be a first, surely no band has done that before?

@@RanchElder Dream Theaters Octavarium is a great example of that

Thanks for the recommendation I'll check it out. I highly recommend giving this album a spin.
I've been listening to The Tangent's new album recently. Certainly this song reminds me of them.
