Cymbalta did nothing for me when I was given it for Osteoarthritis. I was given Gabepentin and Lyrica for Arachnoiditis and I am sure I would have completely lost all faculties had I continued those meds.
I'm sorry, but those are NOT pain meds. Gabapentin and pregablin are NOT pain medicines, they are for only nerve pain and have severe side effects. I have adhesive Arachnoiditis and hEDS, my pain never stops though. I take gabapentin occasionally, but I take pain meds daily and if I didn't have them I wouldn't be able to function at all. It's interesting how everyone has different effects from the same diagnosis.
I have nerve pain and pain every single day as well. And gabapentin and Lyrica are the only pain meds that they will give in the state that I live in unless you have had a back surgery or allow them to put a pain stimulator in and take it back out. And you were right, they are not pain medicines and they do not help but that’s the only choice we have or we have to go without and then try to get out of bed and walk every day. So I choose to Be in pain every day because I have no other choice
@@bonitabradley8213 Why are we letting them mistreat us like this? Pain patients (especially our families) need to stand up and fight, we DESERVE pain relief! To make us suffer is INHUMANE!
@@bonitabradley8213 But they are literally NOT pain medicine, no matter what they are trying to give them for. When someone thinks of "pain meds" they think of vicodin, morphine, etc. Those are pain meds. Gabapentin and Lyrica are not addictive and they don't make one "high". They only help with nerve pain, they are not general pain meds.
Thank you for sharing!!!
Wish you full recovery!!!
Thank you
I'm tapering down off gabepentin and cymbalta for the same reasons.

@@bonitabradley8213 Anyway, I'm just saying they aren't pain meds so your title is inaccurate.
