@@ForTheCorps Hey bro I see you are a solid one. I was hoping in the name of full transparency and to help others that may not know what they are signing up for. Can you do a vid on things you need to know that the recruiter may not tell you? Things like attending the funeral of a close brother in arms. The fact that the VA probably isn't looking out for your personal best interest long term. Being there for a fallen brother's family to help with obligations he can no longer do (coach a sports team etc.) as well as any other experiences that you may have. My personal opinion is that folks need to know is the contract may expire but the relationships, obligations, and physical/ mental residuals will be ongoing for a lifetime. You like I know this lifestyle ain't for everyone which is why I feel that others need to know truly what they are signing up for.
Hell yea! Don't overthink it. The more you think the more negative your thoughts will become. Just understand that its only 13 very short weeks of your whole life. Follow your dreams.
This is the one! You made a great point i dont want to look back and regret that i never did it. Haters are everywhere and I need to push that ish out the way. Thanks Tony!
Nah man, thank you! You've got the right mindset! Haters are everywhere. Don't let there misery and jealousy hold you back. Also, you are the only thing stopping you from joining. Don't give in to the self doubt, lack of confidence and fear of the unknown hold you back.
Everyone has to live their own lives, fear is the stongest factor in our lives. Overcoming fear is the greatest thing you can overcome. "I did it, you did it he can".
Truee thank you so much!!but I’ve been bullied but I’m still am and I’m always judged by people and everything..and people want too bring me down but I want too be in the Marine Corps when I’m 18 I’m 16 Rn but I’m plannin too talk too a Marine Recruiter soon and also I love your channel so much cuz it motivates Meh so much💪🏼💪🏼SEMPER FIII
Great video, I went through a very similar situation as you. I was in the DEP for about a year or so, very ready to join and ship off. I even went to MEPS on my shipping day. What got to me was that I was against the dishonesty some of the recruiters had to make me join, and my parents were also naysayers about it too. Because of that, I quit. I felt like I quit for the right reasons, but the calling to serve still burns down there deep down. I just wish to go on the right foot, not on the wrong. Btw, I either wanted to choose between the Navy and the Marines. I like the chill attitude of the sailors, and their ships, but I also like the soul and heart of the marines. Either or, haha

No man, I'm pretty sure the cutoff is 28. You'll most likely be the oldest in boot camp, but you'll have life experience and will most likely be someone the younger guys look up to.

Thank you, this gave me the push I needed to finally join. I was in the same spot as you with the negativity, but I’m ready now!

Exactly! “I was going to join, but…” can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard that!
Your Favorite Entertainer, Mini Manson, was in the Marines.
