What Nikki suggested is something similar to what I do. As I go through my Bible studying and journaling, any time I see anything about God, describing who he is, how he is, etc.. I highlight it purple (because royalty hello 👋 👑) and then at the end of a book of the Bible I’ll go to a specific place in my journal I’ve written that’s titled “Who does God say that He is?” and I copy down each highlighted purple part. I started all this to get to KNOW HIM, so what better way than to record exactly who He says He is!!
Hi Faith! Thanks so much for sharing some of my Bible journaling ideas! I LOVE your videos, and YOU have been such an inspiration to me. I love getting ALL THE IDEAS from everyone! I have been so blessed in my relationship with God by turning my Bible into my own personal journal and record of my walk with Him.
Wanted to mention. Look on the hymn at the bottom. A lot of hymn books have a bible verse that connects back to the hymn. My idea for next year is find one word in a scripture. Put different definitions of the word to me. Not a book or dictionary. But what I personally myself define as the word. Then put the word into a life sentence for myself. For example. In the beginning. The word I pick is in. In is of. In is surrounded. In is encircled by. In is part of. Today I am in the arms of a Savoir that loves me. So that's what I'm doing in my bible journal this year. Continued blessings and merry Christmas.
You got me in to bible journaling and im a dude haha it's helped me to really dig more into the word , i draw a box on the side and put my note in that then , i highlight it , then after my readings , i put the notes all together for journaling in my journaling study bible :) its the CSB Diciples Study Bible :)
I love Nikkis tip for highlighting the prepositions. My 6th grader will be covering that this year in our homeschool , so we can use her bible journaling and study time to sprinkle in some practice !
I love journaling and putting stickers on my bible and in my journal im starting to bulletin journaling to sending u lots of love and hugs and prayers for you and your family
I have been trying to read my paper Bible more and this gave me so many ideas of things to look for and ways to study. Thank you so much for this video!!!
I just found your page, love the ideas! As I was watching, I had the idea to "tip in" color pages from my Words of Strength coloring book. Can't wait to try it!
Love your videos! I’ve been using a lot of your ideas to get more creative in my prayer journal. I don’t typically journal directly in my bible, aside from highlighting and bookmarking. Bible journaling is great; it’s just a personal preference for me to keep my own notes and ideas in a separate book than the straight Word of God. Just how my brain works as of now. 😅 But a lot of these ideas can be implemented into a separate journal too and I love it! Please keep making these!
Thank you Faith for this video! Love the different sisters ideas! Definitely and inspiration! I have a new interleaved Bible that I will be breaking in the beginning of 2022. I'm nervous of breaking it in.
Thanks Faith for this informative video! It’s great seeing what others are doing in their bibles as well. As a newbie to Bible journaling it’s a great inspiration. Also I’m excited to try the study too from Nikki. I have a feeling it will be quite enlightening. Stay awesome!
This is absolutely FABULOUS!! I love it!! Hope you do more videos like this! I'm soooo happy I found you on here! I love how you journal and teach Bible study. Praise Jesus for you 🥰
I love all these wonderful tips. Would you consider a video on studying without any underlining and highlighting. Just writing in a separate journal and focusing on a clean Bible page. What benefits are there to that kind of study?
I love seeing how other people journal! It gives me so many great ideas! There are books called Then Sings My Soul that talk about hymns and their meanings. They are very interesting!
Can you please do reacting to our prayer journals? I think that would be a very good idea so people can get creative ideas to put in their prayer journals!
There is no greater message to be heard than that which we call the gospel. But as important as that is, it is often given to massive distortions or over simplifications. People think they're preaching the gospel to you when they tell you, 'you can have a purpose to your life', or that 'you can have meaning to your life', or that 'you can have a personal relationship with Jesus.' All of those things are true, and they're all important, but they don't get to the heart of the gospel. The gospel is called the 'good news' because it addresses the most serious problem that you and I have as human beings, and that problem is simply this: God is holy and He is just, and I'm not. And at the end of my life, I'm going to stand before a just and holy God, and I'll be judged. And I'll be judged either on the basis of my own righteousness-or lack of it-or the righteousness of another. The good news of the gospel is that Jesus lived a life of perfect righteousness, of perfect obedience to God, not for His own well being but for His people. He has done for me what I couldn't possibly do for myself. But not only has He lived that life of perfect obedience, He offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice to satisfy the justice and the righteousness of God. The great misconception in our day is this: that God isn't concerned to protect His own integrity. He's a kind of wishy-washy deity, who just waves a wand of forgiveness over everybody. No. For God to forgive you is a very costly matter. It cost the sacrifice of His own Son. So valuable was that sacrifice that God pronounced it valuable by raising Him from the dead-so that Christ died for us, He was raised for our justification. So the gospel is something objective. It is the message of who Jesus is and what He did. And it also has a subjective dimension. How are the benefits of Jesus subjectively appropriated to us? How do I get it? The Bible makes it clear that we are justified not by our works, not by our efforts, not by our deeds, but by faith-and by faith alone. The only way you can receive the benefit of Christ's life and death is by putting your trust in Him and in Him alone. You do that, you're declared just by God, you're adopted into His family, you're forgiven of all of your sins, and you have begun your pilgrimage for eternity. - Ligonier Ministries
The Bible tabs have ripped some pages. I am going to put washi tape down the first page of each chapter and put the tabs over it. My Bible is an interleaved ESV like yours, so the pages are a tad thicker
This video definitely gave me a couple ideas. My journaling is very plain. I just write my notes and hardly do any drawing unless something inspires me. I have been toying with the idea of buying a plain Jane Bible and the only thing I do with it is highlight my favorite verses . I hope you and your family had a nice Thanksgiving!
I love this, Def. Some great ideas 💡 p.s I’ve been following for a while if you ever see Carla Michelle (that’s me 😂) but you have sparked up in me an even greater desire to just start my own RUclips channel soooo I did (The Womens space it’s going to be faith based Bible studies etc. I haven’t made a video YET but very soon ! ) thank you for always sharing with us ! It is always a blessing to me :)

I have a big Pinterest board just for Bible journaling because I get into creative droughts. I love this!
I’ve been doing Nicki Drake’s tip on highlighting only God, Jesus, Holy Spirit-and any attributes
@HowtoFaithALife I just wanted to say that your videos have inspired me and I've learned so much. I wish you had some more current videos.

Is there a link where I can get your bible?
what a typical IBS page in my wide margin might look like

A good study Bible is much more important than making your Bible a coloring book. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
