Using the Zitay CFexpress to SSD for my EOS R5. Build quality feels like its SR-71 material! 2tb Samsung 970 evo pro plus saved me a ton (over $1200) and helps with overheating.
Hahaha @ SR-17, that's a very good one... made me laugh. But it really is built solidly. I not too familiar with the R5 but the overheaing issues were evenywhere on the Internet. I can completely understand how moving the heat of writing files can help with that issue as cameras do get hotter when writing data. Oh niiiiic; being able to save a ton on media is a big win! Glad you enjoyed the video. Thanks man.
Top video. I really hate using T5 with the usb c port and yes Cfast are super expensive. M2 seems to be the best solution although I'm scared of that flat cable going bad
Thanks a lot man. Honesrly, a year and a half and I still use the original ones I got shown in this video; cables are still good so I think the newer cables are just as strong if not stronger. I have the M.2 version mainly for use on my gimbal but for handheld and shoulder rig I prefer the regular SSD versions... super quick to insert and remove AND still the best price per TB. This video is even what made Zitay contact me... Zitay is the mother company - ruclips.net/video/4LoCY9-07I8/видео.html
@@billzidis2656 You're welcome man. I also stopped using a cage on one Pocket 4K for the gimbal... done everything to strip weight when using the RS2. Ooh 6K pro... very nice camera you have. I'm hoping to add NPF dummy when I make the 'How to build 8V dummy' video to power Pocket cams and more from the RS2 port. ruclips.net/video/KVZPIkf3Irk/видео.html
Thanks for the video. I've had these exact adapters for about a year now, and I got my pocket 4k back in 2019 when it came out. When you say "new version" @ 2:20 ish in the video, are you referring to the cable, or the camera? I'm still not able to close my door all the way, and I feel like it's damaging the cable overtime.
Hi Zack, thanks for watching. When I say 'New version' I am talking about the new 'thinner cable' they now use with these Cfast adapters. Cheers. I use 'newer' versions of the 2.5 SSDs; never need to open the door and they are the quickest to swap... from my 'original' video about the adapters. - ruclips.net/video/4LoCY9-07I8/видео.html
Hi thank you for the video! i bought Sumsung 860 Pro with a big case CF to2.5' SSD converter , i have dificult time to take out the 870EVO SSD card after i insert to the case, do you have any way to take out the SSD card? thanks
There is a version for that - www.zitay.net/CFast-2-0-Dummy-Cards-to-2-5-Sata3-0-4TB-SSD-Adapter-V-Mount-Plates-for-Blackmagic-URSA-MINI-4K-4-6K-p746228.html Similar to my original video about these adapters - ruclips.net/video/4LoCY9-07I8/видео.htmlsi=Y8E815u_3M6_jmBw
Whatever you can do with a Cfast card you can do with this... with the added benefit of no heat. Just checked - the BM website states the 6K doing full 6K resolution 30fps 3:1 as 323MB/s so of course that is waaaaay easy for any CFast to sustain until card is full.
Hey @aNELeOnwuka, nice review! How does it run so far? Any issues with this adapter since you started to use? Overheating? Any connection issue, failure or framedrop in data writing? I would like to use this for RAW 5:1, sometimes with longer takes, so I'm a bit afraid.
Absolutely ZERO issues... these are simply amazing. Now considering I got my first in May 2020 and have been using them ever since. They do not heat at all, there are no connection issues, they do not drop frames - basically anything an actual CFast card can do these do as well... and of course don't build up heat INSIDE the camera. Even still using the originals on a hand-held rig - ruclips.net/video/4LoCY9-07I8/видео.html I honestly actually prefer the original 2.5" SSD versions as swapping drives is super quick and easy.
@@Krisztian_Horvath You're welcome. As you already have the M.2 so that's def the one to get. Imagine buying 1 or 2TB of Cfast cards... quite a cost saving.
Thanks man. Unfortunately there is not... the engineers @ Zitay tried but it doesn't work. I have never had T5 drives BUT you might get this to work if you disassemble the T5 and take out the SSD
Hi Carlos, new information. I was told by Zitay that you can open up and remove the drive from a T5 and use this version CFast to SSD. I don't have a T5 so I never got one. Will it work on a 5d mark iii?

Google it. Differs depending on location.
Useless as you can’t close the CFast door
If only you actually watched the video.
