Our first visit to Domenica, we took an island tour & then stopped at a hotel? in the rain forest. We had rum punch & the island ladies put on a show/dance for us. This place was absolutely gorgeous surrounded by rain forest & so peaceful. Anyone else ever been there? Another time we took a cooking class at a local's home in the mountains. We did enjoy the cooking class & her hospitality. Been to the falls too.
hi Dee and Jay we loved Dominica! We did river tubig in the rainforest! Your right on the hills . we went through the cruise line . The rainforest was so beautiful!
We went to Dominica on our southern Caribbean cruise out of San Juan on the Fascination last summer. 7 day cruise with no sea days. It was a favorite for us. Loved the natural beauty of Dominica!
Hi Dee and Jay, thanks for the video! I agree, there's not much to do in Dominica unless you book a tour. My husband and I did find all the vendors though! You have to walk about 2 to 3 blocks away from the ship, and there were a whole bunch of vendors. I bought a bunch of soap that the locals make and a cute tea set! The next time we go, we're booking the rain forest tour!
Hi Dee Jay, I live in Dominica and its pronounced Why - Tea - Coo - bully which means tall is her body in our local kalinago and creole language! Thanks for shairng your thoughts on my gem of a country
We have been to Dominica twice. We did the same tour as you. We liked it but it was so crowded at the Emerald Pool. There was a big line up just to get to the pool and it took away from the natural beauty. The second time we did a champagne snorkel. They took us to a spot where bubbles form naturally where you snorkel. It was really cool.
The only thing I know about Dominica is that the pirates of the Caribbean shot some of the movie there I was the pirates of the Caribbean too and I went there because of all the greenery all the beautiful and didn't have much to do that's why they they did it there.
Great video, but I am left with one question: Am I going to get car sick going up all those mountains? I am prone to such things but definitely don't want to miss the experiences you described. I guess that would leave me with whale watching (which would be fun too). Can you describe how bad the mountain drive might be for someone such as myself? Thank you in advance.
Please more ports guide!!!!!! I love them you guys been to so many and soon I will be visiting the southern Caribbean out of Puerto Rico xoxo xoxo I love from NYC
Least developed maybe except for St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Headed there this December and a friend is picking us up.and touring us around. We have a friend wh his from there and he semi retired there. Once again thanks

Going to Dominica and just exploring Roseau is like going to Paris and just staying in your hotel room.
