You guys deserve so much more awareness. You guys immediately rocketed into my favorite bands list. So unique and talented! I challenge anyone to find another band that can regularly do violin and sax solos like it's no big deal. You guys put me in such a good mood! Keep it up boys!!!!
Also I haven't heard guitar work anywhere near the same galaxy as yours in years! Makes me so giddy every time Tom shreds his ass off! He will be the next Petrucci I guarantee it.
WOW. its like the catchiness of sufjan stevens, the hooky vocals of the mars volta, the musicianship of the best prog metal bands, all packaged into this catchy as fuck superbly produced package
There is not a single song you guys have released that I don't love and enjoy, you guys clearly put everything into every song you write and I cannot describe how excited I am for this new album!
when claypool lennon delirium, Elder, Thank you scientist, Tool, A perfect Circle, Destrage AND Mr fastfinger release a new album at the same year. I think yours is the one i want the most. Seriously can't stop listening to the new shiet, it's so good. Please come to europe :c.
Took off work early, came home to this unexpected Friday blessing! Oh, man, SAL! LOVING the lyrics! Joe and Sam, horn arrangements to die for! Tom and Ben, monstrous as always! Joe, BeatMaster! Cody, how do you keep up with Tom and Joe?!?!? Must be pure talent in those fingers!!!!
Their sound has become incredibly polished. But through their evolution they've managed to hold on to the flair that makes them great, with a heavier feel to boot. Keep it up!
This is excellent. Just excellent. It's Thank You Scientist finally living up to their potential, finally growing into a fully-formed sound - creating a fusion of jazz and metal that not only works very well as both kinds of music, but as something uniquely itself. Their earlier material was good, but it tended to sound like two or three things stuck together: a strong prog-metal band with sometimes incongruous horn arrangements and violin parts stuck on top, and Michael Jackson singing lead. But on this tune, they all sound like one unified thing, with the horns adding extended harmonies to the metal riffs, and the guitar pulling back in the bridge to let the trumpet, sax, and violin players shine. I don't have the album yet, but hopefully the band'll get out to the West Coast this year so I can buy it from them.
I just wouldn't believe, that this is going to be my favourite album from them, just because the other ones were so extranordinary. Maybe i was wrong, i am addicted right now :D
God I love this song. Never could tell if he was saying "I'll be damned I'm digging my own grave." or "Cut me down I'm digging my own grave." though. Even with the lyrics here, I'm not sure.
I was listening to this in the car and just said "fuck it" and took a left, right off a cliff. Not only were those the best 5 seconds of my life, they were the last
Trying hard to learn it on guitar. I'm about up to 70% speed. Quite the workout and I have no idea if I'll ever get to 100% speed on everything including the guitar/violin solo. So much fun to play what I can though! Thank You TYS!
I was brought here by a guy reviewing the Baroness "Gold & Grey" album who was adamant that I had to check Thank You Scientist out. Well, I'm 3 songs in and digging it. Sounds like Coheed and Cambria mixed with Animals as Leaders, but with the horns from Radiohead's Kid A album.
Well for my first time hearing Thank You Scientist,I’m quite impressed for sure. They sound like a fusion of funk, jazz, and progressive metal and I really love that. I’m not a big fan of the vocalist, but I’ve heard much worse than him for sure. I’m definitely going to buy their albums after hearing this.
That ascending parallel chromatic line on a b9 chord at 1:40 is nasty.
This entire track is nasty good.
What they said
This is immediately my new go-to song for testing headphones.
You goddamn right
this is and medieval overture
I don't know if it's possible for these guys to release anything less than fantastic.
TheKemmist, agreed. My least favorite song of theirs is still really darn good.
Yet I find it difficult to like it. :(
@@CelesteelH sucks for you...
I can confirm all of Terraformer is excellent now
Their old EP, the perils of time travel, was pretty shit lol. Other than that, yes, it would seem they are no longer capable of releasing non-bangers
Man.. this band has become one of my favorites in such a short time. Such an unique sound, love the amount of instruments they use.
1:50 mann😭😭❤️
I cant believe I just noticed that during the solo, its a duet, the violin panned left, and guitar panned right. Beautiful.
Also: this drummer is amazing. Not that the previous one was bad, (he was darn good), but this new guy is a total monster.
Heard this in my weekly recommendations on Spotify. Holy smokes was it good driving while jamming to this!

Never thought about Sufjan Stevens. Good comparison lol.
All these visuals...any one of them could be the album cover
Seriously, you guys are toooo god at this (and thanks for keeping rock horns alive)
Soo good ❤ I hope so much you will all continue with the band.

The fact that ¨despacito¨ has billions of views and these incredibly talented guys don't even have a million makes me very depressed...
This was by far the best of the singles released.
The whole album is quite astonishing. Finally something new and amazing to listen to my prayers have been answered.

@@Pryingopenmy3rdi shit, it was last year lol. Sry about that
And Alter Bridge and Opeth
I felt real jealousy that other people heard this first when I saw comments older than the length of the video.
hjucvyo this tour is kinda annihilating everything right now 😂
This is the most tasty, soulful, and shreddy guitar work I've heard in ages. Every instrument serves the song so well. Amazing band and song.
Just a bunch of dudes being Bros, tryin to write an anime intro
Accurate as fuck
Okay, 3 2 1....lets jam!
Yes, their stuff always gives me huge Anime music vibe
Just discovered this group, and I honestly don't think they can make a bad song.

I'm sure Cody's lady friend(s) agrees
You guys blow my mind with literally everything you release. Thank you, Thank You Scientist!!!
You guys are amazing! Hard to believe I only discovered your awesomeness a few months ago.
Right, I was introduced a few months ago myself and I fell in love immediately. I haven't felt this excited about new music in a long time.
Same thing here. They quickly became one of my favorite bands ever.
Their sound has become incredibly polished. But through their evolution they've managed to hold on to the flair that makes them great, with a heavier feel to boot. Keep it up!
9/10 needs more input
CactusKing, that’s one of my favorite Thank You Scientist tracks. Very emotional and underrated.

You're so channeling Zappa, It's ridiculous!! I love it...
When I know the lyrics to TYS songs, they instantly become so much better in my mind. I fall in love with them!
This album is going to be on repeat for me starting next Friday. You guys really kick ass and it shows 3 records in :).
Thank you, scientists.
The way the ending of the song plays out is so epic.
it’s like rush meets 70’s zappa... awesome.. the vocals reminds me of geddy lee... 😀
Yeah, I had the same idea with the vocals, and Zappa.
I got chills all over.
No one can convince me that the singer isn't Steve from American Dad.
He's Michael Jackson
I can’t unhear it
Holy shit, does it get any better?! The best single for the album that they have released yet. I just can't wait for the full album release!
