I just got that 2967 the other day and i felt stupid because its way over kill but that hi torq ended up really helping meout on a tuff steering knuckle and lower control arm job on my little Honda Fit. Thus, you will always appreciate that high torq.
Definitely impressed with my Mid Torque 1/2" Drive, I'm gonna wait for the 3/4" High Impact!
Unless your hammering nuts that are 2" or bigger the 1/2" defines enough power. The 3/4 and 1" of old isn't even as powerful as the new milwaukee 1/2" insane torque from Milwaukee. I'm a wood worker by hobby and use dewalt but a millwright by profession and milwaukee is 2x the power as dewalt its mind blowing. My dad was just showing off his dewalt 3/4" today I laughed cuz the milwaukee 1/2" is no comparison. Hope this helps ya dude, most cases that 1/2" is absolutely overkill and I hang 100ft long spouts held by 1 bolt on each end, using a 1/2" milwaukee
Beutyful and powerful set and wrench , one day , one day , thanks for your time and video !!!!
You're welcome. This Milwaukee setup is worth it!
It was great my friend. Milwaukee tools are really professional tools. Thank you my friend👏👏👏👍👍👍
Thanks my friend. I'm very impressed with this impact.😎👍
Great video, Thanks from Canada 🇨🇦
Thanks for watching!💯👍
Yes give us a pack out option awesome impact wrench
very nice , am going to have one 👍🏻
Buying one today
Did you beat the torque channel!!! Say it ain’t so.
Tim and his torque gun over at shop tool reviews was able to break a 2200 ft/lb torqued nut and even caused damage to his brand new sockets he bought for the videos. and the dewalt dcf900 stopped at 1600 ft/lbs
@@haroldjones12 Not the 900, the 961.
@cunninghamroc eventually the 961 flat lines and the 900 catches up to it so theoretically the 2967 has a good chance at taking that number one spot
The DCf961 is going to beat this. The production model variant.
@juanc5149 i think other wise but i didn't mention the dcf961 was going to lose all i said was the 2967 has a chance at getting that number one spot
I used a regular 12 point Autozone socket to remove crank pulley off my northstar. This wrench is no joke.
😂they're the best engines when you're not working on them
@@aksauce614 A blown head gasket is the only problem I've had with the engine. I've had it for 6 years. I'm rebuilding the engine right now because no shop in Atlanta would touch it. I have a few videos on my channel.
@@blackericdenice Yep, they're definitely a pain, but they're such fun cars and worth the hassle if you have the time/space! Cant speak for you but parts were always super cheap too! Hope you get her up and running very soon!
@@aksauce614 The heads are ready and I will pick them up soon. I want to have it running for Christmas.
Yes in packout system. I wouldn't mind getting it in a packout 😁
Their track saw thats offered in a Packout kit is a great way to buy tool that are already organized. I'm working on a video for Kaizen foam cutting and fitting.
Thank you Milwaukee salesperson.
I need this under my pillow and work
How did you get this so early I was the first one with the FLEX MID TQ WRENCH back in late spring even sent it to TTC so they could use it but this one does not show up anywhere you should get the new FORGE Battery and use it with this TQ wrench
You need to find HEAVY Equipment like SKID STEERS and PAY LOADED something that Needs 1200 or 1400 to LOOSEN
Wow ! Lugnuts really are a challenge.
Haha, yeah I need to follow up with something extra heavy duty. I have a farm tractor and a 750lb torque adapter to use next.
Mines came with free impact sockets . Even though i already had lug nut flip sockets . Even witb adapters its crazy .
This impact has saved the day for me a few times now.
I bought it last week and was very impressed
Yeah, it's a beast!👊
@@MarkThomasBuilder I don't think it can open the 38mm lug nuts on a truck
I'd like to see it tested on that. If it's not able, they offer a big 1" D-handle impact.
I bought it for the NUT BUSTING power
Good review, I'm in the market
Thanks, I think you'll be very happy with this impact.
Pair this with a 3amp HO or possible smaller 3amp Forge battery and you'll have a lightweight compact powerhouse. An M12 3/8 stubby and this new 1/2 seems all you need since it's almost as small as the Midtorque now👍🏻My Gen 2 Midtorque and Hightorque are cart queens cuz the stubby is the workhorse of the 3 😂
I hope to see a smaller Forge battery introduced this year. That would be a nice pairing with this.
@@MarkThomasBuilder I run both my Ridgid Octane and Milwaukee high torques with 3.0 Batteries. Unless I come across a super crazy fastener then I'll slap a larger battery 💪Otherwise they are just too heavy to lug around all day. This new model looks nice and compact pretty much midtorque dimensions. I'm sure running it with a 3.0 Battery alone will still crank out some impressive numbers. Based on the specs it should be the Top Dog, unless Dewalt drops a newly designed HT DCF with Tri lights and shorter body. Most of the Big names have already dropped they're updated high torque versions so I kinda doubt it. Flex might come out with something crazy although I was not impressed with none of their original impacts. Update spoke too soon I just seen Dewalt dropped that DCF961 Chunker 🤦♂️ TTC has already tested a pre production sample so gotta see what numbers this puts up here shortly.
@@MarkThomasBuilderhey mark can you make livestreams
@@jeremynguyen2346 I might be able to on Thursday. There's been a few new tool announcements this week.
Got mine about 3 weeks ago and my buddy worried me about buying my older gen high torque 1/2". Done deal. Great video as usual MT. 👍🏽
That's cool! Thanks!
What other brands and part numbers have you tried?????
Damn it I really hope to tool truck doesn’t come around anytime soon 😂
It would be nice to see a head to head with the old wrench with some nasty old stuck fasteners
Good idea, I'll have to see what I can come up with.
I’m deep in packout. Hell yes lol! I wouldn’t buy that if it wasn’t a Packout compatible
I'll try to suggest that more often to Milwaukee.
Just buy it bare tool with no batteries.
My guy got the hat, the sunglasses, the gloves, the socket sets, the impact. Wonder if he got the socks and underwear too.
Haha, didn't realize I had all that on. I get tempted with all the Milwaukee accessories every time I'm in Home Depot.
When is this Gen 3 suppose to release to the public?
use it with an HO battery and later down the road the new Forge battery
Good call! I actually have a Forge battery. I need to find some tougher bolts to loosen.
Are they going to make a 3/4 drive of that impact?
Possibly this summer at Milwaukee Pipeline.
Food for thought: that's about the lightest work you could've used that gun for. And those led lights will never hold up on the nose like that.
I had 2 other 1/2 in impacts struggle pretty bad on that rusty trailer. I'll keep looking for some challenges and post some shorts, follow up videos.
The lights will hold up just fine. Even on my cheap Ryobi 1/2 in impact the lights are still working after 4 months of using it on 20 cars a day 5 days a week
Хороший инструмент у тебя какой? Гайкв считается самым сильный линейки, гайковертов.
Hey Mark I was wondering what kind of weed killer you use and suggest to use?
I've been using the 30% cleaning vinegar around my house, because of my dogs. I dilute it a little with some water and add in a little Dawn dishwashing soap.
I also use Roundup when I'm away from my house.
@@MarkThomasBuilderOk great thanks for the reply.
Probably could have gotten away with a Stubby or mid torque for that small work lol
True, definitely more versatile than that monster.
Hi mark, lugs is no competition for this impact, put it on truck suspension and let it show itself it’s designed for heavy work,
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what I can find for additional testing.😎👍
have yoy try to compare FLEX 1/2" High Torque Impact Wrench??
That would be an interesting comparison. I'm going to build a test setup first.
how do i know that my milwaukee is a gen3?
Check the model number and compare it to the one on the Milwaukee website. Otherwise a google search for gen 3 should give you the model number.
The fact that milwaukee still offer their new gen tools with the 3amp charger and a 5ah is a bummer 🤦♂️
I have the new super charger that comes with the Forge Batteries. I'm going to have to test out the charge times vs the rapid charger. I'm sure you'll see a focus on Milwaukee developing more Forge options.
aka 'Big Boy Tools'
This thing is a beast! 😎💯
This is the standard for high torque impacts. But trying to impress by taking some trailer lugs off? 1/4 in hex will do that. try it on something that is actually a high torqued screw.
I'm in the process of building a new high torque setup. I'm not done testing this out. The dump trailer in my video actually stopped my Dewalt 1/2" impact on the rusty lugs a year ago.
@@MarkThomasBuilder Had you remembered to fit the battery?
How much did this cost at the event? I’m sure they’ll probably charge alittle more than the people who went to that event but at least I have an idea how much I’m about to spend😭😂
299 bare tool, 499 in the kit he is show casing.
What is the price?
The MSRP is $299 bare tool and $499 for the kit.
DCF 961 and Makita High torque smoke this but they are also way more expensive
Buy new nuts for the project trailer.
The fact that you used a high torque to bust trailer nuts when you could have used the M12 stubby and had them off just as fast. A tractor bolt or semi truck lug or something difficult this shows me nothing
Ecxatcly what i thoughts too
My previous commercial mower had some very tight spindles. Once time a guy from the mower dealer had to cut one off with a torch after trying with his biggest impact. The rusty trailer I showed was the second biggest challenge to all my impacts. My 1/2" Dewalt DCF894 wouldn't turn the lug, at times, on this trailer.
"Competitor's"
Isn’t it a mid torque that your showing is? Just description says high torque

thank you
Nothing a stubby couldn’t have done how did u get this impact like Milwaukee really sent it to you for review?? Bc I still can’t purchase it from anywhere yet this is some bs someone really need to review this impact it could do so much more
Your kid bullys me at mason high school
Tell him I’d like to have a word with him when he gets home…
Bully not good people
Need to hold percents responsible at all time hope he take care of that
@@cynthiaweaver1487 Thank you for responding and your concern. This post was from his friend joking around. I'm 100% against bullying.
Is there anything not great about Milwaukee tools ? Have they ever done anything not wonderful ?
Milwaukee has done a excellent job copying Makita.
Gay
This is the least impressive demonstration i've ever seen no matter how much you try and talk up those rusty lug nuts.
Damn and I just bought the current high torque gun😂😂
He tested it on 12mm bolts 😂😂😂😂
