I have an idea for making the Arkfeld Ultra a better product. They should;d add a RED L E D for night vision use. A low power red light for covert use.
You can change the double/triple click options back to double=turbo, and triple=strobe. I think you click ten times, and hold down on the 10th click, and it'll revert the UI to the normal olight UI
Watching this in 0.75 speed is like listening to me drunk at thanksgiving trying to convince my (also drunk) uncle that flashlights are cool and a legitimate hobby. A happy accidental discovery lol
Ordered the Ultra+Perun 3 bundle, with the free Sphere. I've been carrying the Arkfeld Pro as my EDC since it came out, and I'm excited for the Ultra. I love the aesthetics. Great color, great lines, and that cool O-aluminum. I saw a few people taking sanders to the Ultra, and while of course it scuffs and scratches, it does hold up better than the normal aluminum.
You can change the double press turbo, its programmable. Meaning you can program it to still be a double tap to turbo. Think its something like, from off, hitting the button 15 plus times.
there is a button sequence you can press to swap turbo and strobe back to the correct setup. From lock-mode, click the button 10 times and then hold until the light flashes.
@@ChrispyThings I understand from reading some discussion on facebook that the UI change was to avoid the burning/melting effects of accidental activation. After experiencing a hole melted in my pants by the prototype pro I'm all for it, despite the bit of confusion. I did not go back and verify this information, but it seems to make sense.
It's the same light as the pro, the extra 100 lumens, you won't see. The material of the body doesn't make it a new model. They don't give Ti, copper, brass models a new model number. This is pure marketing gone mad.
@@Studat I do understand lumens I was just saying lol it’s obviously not the exact same as the arkfeld pro, yes u won’t notice 100 extra, but the glass and material is better by a long shot
@@gtiguy1992able so we agree, it's the exact same light as the pro made in a different material and a glass lens. I ain't hating just don't call it a new model. Put a glass lens on the pro. This is marketing at its finest

Yes absolutely
@@JE_AB_CAit has a hat clip
That will come in the Ultra Pro Max 😂
YES. Red and low red 👍🏽
I almost bought the pro a few times but the design changes on this one really sold me. Got it with the new baton turbo. Solid combo for the money
The color did it for me, got it with the Warrior Nano.

Yep. I just think it’s silly to ship it with the UI set up this way
@@ChrispyThings agreed!
Tried it, didn’t work.
@@TobyCostaRica sorry, you have to be in lockout mode first. Then press it 10times quickly, holding down on the last press until it flashes twice
@@element_47 thanks!

I say ship it in the normal state, and if you like the weird triple press turbo then you can change it.
You can change the triple click to be strobe and double click to go turbo.
👍🏻
@@ChrispyThings You go lock mode, push button down 10 times and hold on the tenth. It should blink twice, unlock it and it should be changed.

Great.
But why do I have to do that?
Ship it the “normal” way and let me change it if I want.
It’s a little silly.
You can reprogram the ulta to make it double tap for turbo and triple for strobe.
Yep. I learned that after making this video. Seems silly to ship it in the alternative state though
How do you do it, I tried the click and hold on 10th. What mode does it have to be in? I assume it’s off first?
Lens is also glass now
I'm glad to hear that. I have prototype pro with a melted lens from accidental activation. Probably better heat regulation would also be good.
Triple or double click for turbo or strobe can be set to whichever you desire.
Interesting. They should’ve kept the UI the same, and let you change it to triple click for turbo then.
Why ship it this way?

The Ultra would be a better value if it had replaceable batteries, say 2 lithium ion 14500 batteries. Otherwise it just ends up in the trash.
I think I’ve said this in every single review I’ve done in wedge style flashlights. The built in battery is always a negative for me
Their lifetime warranty covers the battery.
Got the arkfeld ultra, the Baton turbo an 6 spheres on the way
Nice

oooooooo! I was waiting for this video! Let's goooo!
Did you get one?
@@ChrispyThings No, I don't buy anything unless I like the review. I like your reviews.
Do I believe that it’s not just 7075 aluminum? Not really. Do I want to get one? Absolutely!
Haha I’d love to know what this alloy is made of but who’s to say?
It does not matter how strong the metal is as much as how thermally conductive it is.
Not enough to buy for a better body and 100 more lumens you won't notice
Thank you. this isn't an upgrade at all
Better grip

100 extra lumens, glass instead of plastic, oal material I mean it is different than the original

100 lumens more does not matter after 500 lumens. 💯% facts.
Idk such a bad review
Maybe because this WASN’T A REVIEW. 🙄
Waste of them making
Except the pro is their best selling light...
