      I know that women are unpredictable creatures and are part of the harassment problem as well as men but I am leaning towards society's fault on all levels from the unemployed to leadership to the crazy law makers. This issue I do not think will not change. I can guarantee that there will be more disagreements. A sense of denial going on.

    The main problem is that some types of bullying, i:e covert workplace bullying, . It goes un noticed because people listen to the gossip/ actually a bully and enjoy the GOSS , so each person hears this stuff once and they pass on info etc etc , this goes on for years and years , that's the repeated information going around about you , most people affected wouldn't even know they have been inducted as a devotee , this can then turn into social bullying in your community. There doesn't seem to be any upstanders to let you know who's conveying information , the Bully feels great about demeaning or defaming you (schadenfreude) and move up in the company "as people in the know"
    There needs to be "Awareness videos" compulsory for company's, each year , this would turn the tables on them and people would recognize their behaviour.

    The problem is Corporation are getting tax breaks for employing people and if the people quit they keep the tax brakes, So they employ you and then they harass you to make you quit don't giving you even unemployment. Be aware of those medium size companies that are hiring all the time, or when someone in the company tells You that for your position has passed a ton of people.
    It will be wood that someone that has the skill to make a website to put all of those perpetrators on the public spotlight.

    Where I work they discriminate by age. The 20 year olds are being harassed by the older adults (+30's) and there's nothing that the 20 year olds can say. HR believes a 40 year old woman. this 40 year old sad woman has been trying to fire me for 3 years straight. I have to endure all of the verbal harassment every day. Because if I go to HR and say that someone is harassing me to the point where I feel violated, they think that I'm playing a game trying to get people fired. Which is not true!! The 40 year old sad woman had said ahead of time before me that these twenty-year-olds are here too get people fired. I really hate these +30 year old adults. I am truly living a "Kids Next Door" episode and it's sad. All because of an envious 40 year old lady. She sees that the 20 year olds are smart into going to school and working a full-time job and wants to tear them down. Just because she wasn't thinking like the rest of us 20 year olds. It's all done out of jealousy and pettiness.

    This also happened to me since December 1996 with the Durham Property Maintenance making me do night shift snow shoveling. I do not think they understand me I do not work night shifts is that I am a special needs man, but also night shifts is my biggest disability all the time. Since this bad experience outraged me all the way, I have had it with them! All I did is put my snow shovel down, ignored them by walking away from them even after I refuse to get in their trucks. This made me mad enough taking further actions on them after one of the workers used profanity and violent threats on me wishing me better off dead.

    Yes, but trying to bring a case even when you have one is hard to do. You may not be able to get another job after you've brought a case. Certain companies are arm twisting people into taking buy outs and to do this they put them under the thumb of a bullying manager.

    • @jtrujillo1985
      @jtrujillo1985 4 года назад +2

      That's discrimination & can get a case too but also make another case even more strong because when one employer calls another there is only so much information they can give legally, revealing something like what your talking about to get someone not hired is VERY against the law😊

  • @kristinhefner9824
    @kristinhefner9824 8 лет назад +6

    Your protected only if you are a member of one of these classes...age, sex, color, religion, gender, etc. the law does not cover everyone which is discriminatory in itself. In my case company policy only effects me. My co-workers get to do whatever they please. I must abide by the policies set by the company in order to keep my job. I have no problem with that. But I think everyone should follow the same policies.

    I'm not for bullying or anything, but I've heard examples of 'bullying' that really aren't. Just because someone criticizes your behavior or performance doesn't mean they are bullying you. But for certain snowflakes who have never had to compete for anything in their lives, I guess I can see how that would be shocking. I heard an employee complaining about how they were being 'harassed' by their manager because they were late for work every day. Her excuse was that the line in the drive-thru at Starbucks was always so long and she couldn't predict how much time it would take to get through it, so being late wasn't her fault. "What does he expect me to do? Leave half an hour earlier or something?" That was literally her complaint. So she was getting written up for attendance because she had to get her $7 coffee in the morning and wouldn't leave earlier to compensate for the task and somehow she translated that to her boss harassing her. That kind of thing gives people who are legitimately getting harassed a hard time because so many complaints just get looked at as frivolous. If you are on my team and you waste your time and turn in substandard work on a project I have assigned to you, then you better believe you are going to get the feedback. If your sensitive millennial feelings get hurt by that criticism and you want to report me to HR, then go for it. I'll let them tell you the difference between performance feedback and bullying I guess.

      Bro the video even addresses the fact that an employer or supervisor directing workers to follow the rules isnt bullying or harassment. Those kinds of 'cases' are just people being privileged

      Making someone question their behavior while that employee is following policies & procedures, has a set routine & is organized while the person harassing him/her to make them question their behavior, is not following policy or procedures is indeed bullying/harassment. And will get an employee or group of employees who choose to target 1 person reported to several areas as well possibly sued for it or worse. It's best to choose wisely on such a serious matter

    firtst...supervisors or trainers behaved different with me .example is they always yell at me when want say something in a rude manner. two.. they ignore my hardworking and give opportunities to other workers they like
    three.. overtime is not for me the other workers are always in their priorities...(workers are same level with me).
    four ..supervsors humilate me in front of cstomers
    And more and more... I am feeling sick... I hate my work place
    I Wish I could stand against them😪

    It's not about employees position, even manager and supervisor also can bully employees too, with none moral value, it will continue to attack people health everyday at working places. If there's no positive, safety, justice, correctly solutions, then should go to the lawyer for report that company issue.

    I wrote a lengthy response from the heart and it all got removed due to me posting a link...For those that care to read, link is in my profile description. I am thinking about making a video to talk about it at some point. It was an absolute nightmare, I got let go simply for doing well and being over productive. I never really gotten into people's businesses and never interfered with anyone's work flow. I just came in everyday at the same hours and worked at the same location. As I started scoring high on productivity, harassments ensued followed by what I would best describe as stalking.

    Even the supervisors bully the employees, if you complain any bullying at work, the supervisor will not consider your concern if that person who is being complained is a senior worker no matter how mean she/he is. So nothing will be done. HR will do nothing or even fire you.

      Sometimes you do that and bullying still occur. I avoid drama at work or even talking behind a person's back but there are still bullies. I lost 10 kgs in 3 months and I suffer from insomnia this last week I slept 3 hours or less each day and except for the 32 hours that I didn't sleep at all. This is my first job it pays a reasonable amount and unemployment rate in my country is high. If I lose it I probably won't get another job
