      Is there any side effects?

    • @joe589
      @joe589 2 года назад +3

      @@karthikat9150 yes it has side effects, there is a wire being pushed through your veins to heart which is a engine of our body, and a dye is released to find if there are blocks, other wise it's not possible find the exact place in the heart where there are blocks, more over there is life risk 2 percent are allergic to this dye which will not get dissolved and will face kidney problems and will die...

      Satish, I was just recently diagnosed with a 50% blockage of my LAD artery which is the artery that supplies 50% of the blood to the heart.
      After extensive research, I discovered that a stent is only effective if the blockage is greater than 70%. If your father starts an exercise regimen along with a low carb, low saturated fat diet and statin therapy, he can halt the progression of the blockage.

    had this done today, it was completely painless and nly took like 15 minutes, the iv before the procedure was about the only pain, no worse than getting blood drawn and some nurses can do that better than others.

    • @HobbyOrganist
      @HobbyOrganist 3 года назад

      @@nurulwahidah5140 Depends on how they have you scheduled, if you are scheduled to have an angiogram AND surgery, that could be the same day or you'd be admitted for the angiogram and have the surgery the next, if you have heart surgery expect to be staying at the hospital a few days.
      I went for the angiogram etc outpatient and had the surgery later. You MAY be kept overnight after the angiogram if that's what the doctor wants, but most likely you would go home the same day after it.
      From the photos I took, I was to be there at 8 AM, I was in a holding room prepped for the procedure at 11:16 am, I ordered lunch and was eating at 12:06 PM, last pic I took was at 1:09 PM and I went home some time later.
      I did have to get a blood draw before this day, and could not eat before.
      I had valve repair, so I was in the hospital later for 6 days, they insert a drain thru an incision above the belly button, and temporary pacemaker wires, both of which they removed about the 5th day, it was painless just felt wierd!
      The angiogram was nothing, it only took a few minutes

    Sir, the catheter is bent at a right angle. Why is it so? Why it is not kept straight? What is the purpose?
    How the catheter is able to travel through the artery without piercing it when it is bent at a right angle?
    Why the bursts of contrast die are showing as a mist? I was thinking the due would be contained within the arteries.
    I am a layman. Please excuse if the questions are incorrect. Thanks.

    I onced read animal fat and transfat were two huge factor leading to formation of arterial plaque. Frequent consumsumption accumulate in one's artery causing many pains and sufferings. I get rid of them from my diet many many years back and saved me a lot of lot of troubles as a result.

    This reminds me of the good times in the early 90s trying to open the car door with a coat hanger after locking the keys in.

    Every bit as good as American doctors, they probably have more staff assisting, and the price is a small fraction of what they charge here in the USA.

    Is there any limit to the maximum quantity of due that can be injected?
    Also the end of the guide wire is L shaped. How it is able to travel through the artery?

      There is a limit for the dye amount. At the end of the case, all medications are recorded. There are different types of catheters, wires/tips. With some, you have to run a tiny glide wire through to straighten the tip for insertion.

    If there was no blockage then why did they have to do this ? usually a doctor tells you if there is a blockage prior to cutting you open
